___________________________General Site Rules

Out of Character:
  • Zero tolerance for spam
  • We make back-ups every two weeks in case invisonfree crashes
  • Respect staff and fellow players
  • You alone are responsible for the content of your posts (guests included). We bear no responsibility or consequences.
  • No racial, sexual, malicious, or degrading comments in public view
  • Spammer accounts will be removed
Oops, accidentally deleted?
If we suspect your account is a spammer and it is deleted, please email the owner, Naxx by clicking Here

In Character:
  • Any animal, any species that would exist in any of our climates. (No dinosaurs).
  • We are Post'n'Play - you don't need to wait for your profile to be accepted before you can begin playing.
  • Be realistic :
    . . . Watch your size and weights - wolves aren't 5' tall
. . . No "pure muscle", as animals need fatty tissues to survive
. . . Mind the climates - wolves don't swim in the ocean, elephants don't wander the artic
. . . No character is perfect, everyone has flaws
. . . Your character will need to hunt for food, search for water, eliminate waste, etc
. . . Your character will probably die. Natural disasters, predators, and poachers, oh my. (Re-spawn after an unfortunate event)
    . . . Stay true to character - cowards don't become heros
  • No word count
  • No power-play or god-modeling
Adoptions:
  • Be at or above the adoptable character's level
Predator-Prey Ratio
  • Prey are very important!
  • There are three levels:
  • Excellent : Means there is plenty of food
  • Threatened : Predators are quite hungry
  • Famine : ALL predators die at the end of the season - even yours
  • A Famine occurs when 3/4 ( # prey ) < (# predators)
Breeding:
  • No graphic mating
  • Only during breeding season, and if female in heat
  • Offspring are determined prey quantity, den location, climate, conditions
  • Forced mating is okay
Claiming Territory
  • Only LVL II characters can claim territory
  • Territory must be claimed by a male (or female, depending on species).
  • Male secures the territory by fending off intruders and predators
Herds
  • 5 or more members of the same species
  • Claim no territories (they roam)
  • Leaders give commands and dictate formations
Packs
  • 2 or more members of the same species that claim a territory
  • Pack members never travel alone
  • Members can make rank challenges, though leaders may correct such insubordination by force
  • The more members, the bigger a territory can be - but there is less food to go around
  • Packs with 4+ members must contain a mated pair
  • Packs with 4+ members must have routine pack activities, such as hunts

___________________________Character Progression

Because we are a Player -vs- Player game, characters will die at some point. No worries, you can revive your character with Rage Points.

LEVEL I ENTRY LEVEL
Bottom of Food Chain
Cost: ( free, start here )
Revive Cost : 50 Rage Points
Upon entering, begin as a bottom of the food chain character. This character's primary purpose is to introduce you to the game. Staff have been instructed not to be strict, so don't worry about your character application too much. These characters can be herbivores, or small predators, and act as food for the larger animals.
LEVEL II - INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
Intermediate Predator
Lvl Upgrade Cost: 250 Rage PointsOR ( Death of LVL I Char )
Revive Cost : 100 Rage Points
Intermediate Predators will include your wolves, birds of prey, and so on, and will take up the majority of the site's population. These animals hunt and kill LEVEL 1 Characters for food, will claim land, make packs, etc.
LEVEL III - ADVANCED LEVEL
Advanced Predator
Lvl Upgrade Cost: 1,000 Rage Points
Revive Cost : 200 Rage Points
These characters will include big cats (eg, lions, tigers). These animals are extremely territorial, highly ferocious, pose a significant threat to all levels, and will hunt and kill creatures below them.
LEVEL IV - MASTERED
Earth Walker/Thread of Mankind
Lvl Upgrade Cost: 2,000 Rage Points
Revive Cost : 500 Rage Points
Includes rhinoceros, bears, and elephants. You'll also gain access to the Poacher Account - which poses a threat to all characters on site.

___________________________Rage Points

My PostCount is Wrong
Unfortunately, we need to manually manipulate your postcount in order to give you RagePoints. Feel free to ignore it.

Rage Points (RP's) are our currency, rewarded on realism, tactics, and feral combat.
Earn Rage Points...
  • Advertising - 10 points per site. Post the sites you advertise on ( here ) to receive credit for them.
  • Refer Friends - Bring in a friend and you will both receive 250 points. To avoid sock-puppet point-hoarding, we'll only allot these points after your friend has completed their character application.
  • Posting - 5 points per post, but a post that took a lot of effort can earn up to 20.
  • Participating in Club Fang Law Boards - The winner to the fight gets 100 pts, looser 50. Bring in the blood!
  • Wagering for Club Fang Law Fights - The winner of the wager receives triple the sum of all bets. The looser wins 25% of all the bets. For example, if I bet 400 points, and another guy bets 400 points, there are 400+400=800 points at stake in total. If my bet wins, I get 800(3) =2,400 points. If I loose, I get 800(*0.25) = 200 points.
  • Being Helpful - Helping members with graphics or tables
  • Talking to Guests - If you assist a guest in joining, this is seen as referring a friend
  • Setting a Good Example - For making packs, contributing prey, filling in empty areas, bolstering activity, or even being a good pack leader, you can earn extra points
Spend Rage Points...
  • Respawns
    • LVL I : 50 pts
    • LVL II: 100 pts
    • LVL III: 150 pts
    • LVL IV: 275 pts
  • Offspring
    • 1-3: 150 pts
    • 3-8: 300 pts
  • Territory
    • Single Family: 250 pts ( 2 members, 200x500 )
    • Intermediate Pack: 500 pts ( 4-6 members, 68,000x98,000 )
    • Large Pack : 1200pts ( 8-14/28 members, 600,000x900,000 )

___________________________Feral Combat Rules

Power-play? Trouble Maker? Tell Us.
Report trouble-makers and power play we may have missed by sending a member of staff a PM with the offending threads.
Fighting is a great way to earn points. A fight can be a normal, plain fight, or it can be Club-Fang Law, our hands-down, to-the-death, and no restrictions fights - just label it as such in the thread description. Remember, all animals have a "fight or flight" instinct. Combat is judged according to:
  • Realism
  • Morality
  • Effort to survive
  • Purpose and motive
  • Excessive dodging (Don't do it, no one is perfect)
  • Power-Play and God-Modeling (Don't do it)
