Probably won't be annouced until a week or so before hand. They like to keep secret how much lower and lower grade acts they bring in year after year so that the student body can eventually lose interest in the event and then the university can successfully phase it out.

ummm... I think I've said to much..

don't know yet, but when I get back I'll listen to the rumor mill and see what I can dig up. We had a little grill out last year before hand, so maybe we can do that again.

Although West Virginia University Arts & Entertainment likes to keep the bands of FallFest secret until a few days before school starts, the bands have no problem leaking the tour date.
The Roots has posted on its MySpace page that it will be playing West Virginia University on Aug. 21 at 8 p.m.
The Philadelphia-based group's original line-up formed around 1987 when the members were classmates at the Philadelphia High School for Creative Performing Arts. The current line-up includes Black Thought on vocals, ?uestlove on drums, Kamal on keyboards, Hub on bass, F. Knuckles on percussion and Capt. Kirk on guitar.
Playing jazz-inspired hip-hop, the band won a Grammy in 1999 for Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group for "You Got Me" featuring Erykah Badu.
The band was also nominated for Best Album in 2002 for "Phrenology" and again in 2004 for Best Urban/Alternative Performance for "Star" and for Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group for "Don't Say Nuthin'."
In 2003, Rolling Stone named The Roots one of the "twenty greatest live acts in the world."
The band has appeared on Comedy Central's hit "Chappelle's Show." ?uestlove has appeared on several episodes, one of which alongside Dave Chappelle and John Mayer.
It's currently unknown who else will perform at FallFest. No one at WVU A&E was available for comment on scheduled acts.
The Roots' new album, "Game Theory" will be released on Aug. 29. The EP, "Pre-Game" is currently available on iTunes. For more information, visit www.theroots.com.
