Lancer already sent me a squad invite, but I wanted to say thanks for letting me be a part of Luft6 and to let you guys know a little about my WWIIOL history.
I came to wwiiol from FighterAceII with my squad, the Dark Knights. The move to WWIIOL didn't go well with all the issues at release and within a few months the squad fell apart. I had my own frustrations with the game and left within the first year to go and play EQ, then DAoC, SWG and even a little Eve. But I would always come back from time to time and play for a month or so, lone wolfing it, and mostly on the ground.
A couple of campaigns ago, I came back on a much more regular basis, and last map I played almost daily, joining with KVD. KVD is a paratrooper squad and has a airwing, so I started flying a little with them. But CAS and JU52's don't really do it for me and I decided that when the intermission started I would try fighters. Unfortunately, KVD wasn't really able to teach me how to use the LW fighters very well. So I started watching the Hanger and reading everything I could on air to air combat in wwiiol. This lead me to the book by BMBM "In Pursuit" (which I suggest everyone read). It also lead to me posting some AARs on the hanger under the title "Confessions of a fighter noob:" The first post, I got a ton of feedback and encouragement and Lancer contacted me in the game and offered to show me a few tricks with using the 109F4.
I'm looking forward to learning a lot from the more experienced pilots and can't wait to see you in game!
picked the right squad for this deacon, S!
