Straight from Lucci's Myspace!!!!

Lucci wrote:

"Currently Ive been cast as the lead in a feature film called "Fast Track". Its starring Brian Austin Green, Jeffery Combs and me!

Tuesday night at about 9pm my manager called me up and told me that I had been offered a role in this film, playing Brian Greens wife and that it started shooting the next day! WOW! I accepted the offer and we are now filming. This is a little out of my comfort zone I must admit...since I hadnt auditioned for the project and had no time to prep. But...so far so good.

STORY LINE: Counsel for a pharmaceuticals company, hard-working and driven young TONY WEST is caught short, stunned and frantic after learning that his wife SOFIA has been kidnapped. In his efforts to make the ransom payoff before it's too late, he learns that the whole plot has been masterminded by those very people he'd trusted..."

Edit: So far no listing on IMDB.

That's wonderful news! She is working again, and she didn't even audition for the role?! ohmy.gif They must have a lot of confidence in her, they probably saw her on BSG.

Congratulations, Lucci! I'm so happy for you!!! clap.gif wub.gif clap.gif friends3.gif yahoo.gif

Getting a call by her manager and starting to work on the project the next day, that must have been a surprise.

While I don't have seen anything with Brian green yet, Jeffrey Combs had several recurring roles on some of the Star Trek series.

I'd bet Jreffrey Combs plays the bad guy. wink.gif

Judging from what she wrote, she will play Sofia, the wife who get's kidnapped. Let's hope there are enough scenes with her. It would be bad if we hardly see her again after she gets kidnapped.

And I hope there is a happy end and Sofia is saved.

Yes, this could go either way. She could be the "out of sight", but often talked about missing loved one, or the script could be written where Sophie interacts with her captive. It just depends on how the script is written. scratchchin.gif

Kinda funny her character name is Sofia! I mean like can you get anymore Italian/Spanish than that? Whats wrong with a non ethnic sounding name? I'm not complaining I just thought the name is a bit amusing. tongue.gif

I will have to IMDB Jeffrey Combs. Name dosen't ring a bell. Maybe the face will.

Exactly. Let's hope the script is written in a way that's good for us Lucci fans. And she did say she was had one of the lead roles, so she must have some screen time.

That's what I thought. I like the name. Is her character Spanish or Italian? But even if she was cast because she looks kinda latin, the important thing is that she got cast.

I only know him from Star Trek, and I don't think I would recognize him, cause he usually was under heavy make up, he played aliens. wink.gif

Hmmm, "Fast Track" is a popular movie title. This is going to make it a bit more difficult to research without going on a goose egg hunt.

There was a "Fast Track" film released in 2006. The "Ex" had a working title of Fast Track before it was released.

I wonder if theres a chance the title of this film will be changed so it is not confused with the 2006 film? scratchchin.gif

Michael, do you mean a straight to DVD release? It all depends on the production company and studio producing the film. Many independent and small productions go straight to DVD nowadays. We have to wait until we know who's producing the film and if a studio has been signed on to advertise and distribute it to theaters.

To make things worse, there is a new film in production for a 2008 release called Fast Track: No Limits.

Fast Track: No limits

I would say, one of these films will have a title change before long. scratchchin.gif

A straight to DVD release for "Fast Track" would also be my guess, yet it's still too early and we know practically nothing about the movie. As for the title change, I don't know. It could be possible, but since it's not on IMDb yet (and probably won't be in the near future since IMDb is rather slow at updating their content) we can't really keep track of the movie right now anyway.

We we're speculating on that earlier. We do not know how Lucci's character is written into the script. Based on her synopses Lucci plays a character whom was kid napped.

Two theories come into play, either she is "talked about" but mostly unseen in the film, or the script is written where she interacts with her captive. Thus more screen time.

I too hope it gets a release in the theater as well, because I would LOVE to see Lucci 40 feet high! tongue.gif

I just couldn't justify seeing BOG on the big screen. I am not a Will Farrel fan and I knew Lucci had only sixty seconds of screen time. But I will watch this new film on the big screen if it gets a nation wide release! thumbsup.gif

Working from Lil Lucci's link of production stills I was able to do some research and find some information about this feature. As this is my own detective work information cannot be validated at this time but I believe its pretty accurate. I am a bit confused about the production company but narrowed it down to two.

Film: Fast Track

Production Company: Modus Operandi Pictures
(or Project Purgatory.... Not sure)

Director :KANTZ (Producer / Writer / Director)

Kantz were many hats on his projects. Along with directing and producing Kantz also cowrites screenplays. Kantz also works first camera, and choreographing many of the fight scenes in his productions. Kantz is currently the President of Modus Operandi Pictures and has a reputation for successful projects in Hollywood such as "Love and a Bullet", "Full Clip", "Random Acts of Violence", "Contract of Evil" and the upcoming "Wasteland."

Bio slightly modified from this MySpace page.

Excellent detective work! thumbsup.gif

With the release of the still pictures, we now finally know for certain she plays the woman who is kidnapped. That's interesting and something new, I just hope she survives. If it was a normal Hollywood film I would be quite certain there would be a happy ending, but with a small independent film I'm not that sure.

It's also sad it won't be released in theaters, and maybe not even on DVD. I really want to see the movie. But a lot of these films which are created for film festivals will at least have a limited DVD release. There is also the slight chance some small art film cinemas here in Germany will get this movie, so I haven't lost hope completely that it will be possible to watch it on the big screen.
