Frosty just told me that http://www.lucianacarro.net/ and http://www.lucianacarro.org/ are active - well, at least the site is "coming soon".

Both domains were registered by Kelly Myers in Vancouver. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find anything about her. It's possible that this is the beginning of Lucci's official site.

This sounds like good news! I am willing to bet Lucci managed to reserve her domain name. The registrant is from Vancouver Canada so that supports my theory. I also suggested she have her agent register her name before someone else took it.

Hopefully. It’s still unclear when (and if) there will be content on this site; “coming soon” can mean anything. But I am optimistic about this and I’ll check the urls from time to time to see if there are any new developments.

Fortunately, in this case, "soon" was indeed soon.

The LCFB's Chief Review Officer is back - and he's found a new juicy target.

Although Luciana relied on help "from fans and friends", it's still her site, and I really dig the personal touch that shines through the pictures and many of the texts.

Credits: Taken from her IMDb page, but not up to date, unfortunately (for example, there are no BSG S3 episodes listed).

Gallery: Truly an awesome collection and the heart of the current website. Finally we get to the see the "lower" half of Lucci's omnipresent promo shot and some nice behind-the-scenes pictures. However, a train fan myself, my favourite photo is Luciana on the tracks. Well done! Oh, and I had to smile when I saw that even stars take photos with the bigger stars like we humble fans do.

Contact: Damn, what are we paying the IMDb pro account for? IMO it is not usual for actors to post these contact details in the public area of their official websites. Hopefully her fan mail account did'nt get flooded. I love the fact that she explicitly mentions fan art - obviously Solium and the others spoilt her and created a real demand.

Biography: Wow, only two years between entering the professional stage and landing a recurring role on a show - that's rather unusual in The Biz, I guess. Oh, she gets the CAG thing wrong (Captain, Air Group), but maybe it's just me, the geek. (IIRC, Kat is still a Lieutenant in the season 3 premiere.) I'm suprised to learn that Luciana didn't expect to return in season 2. Some of Ron's podcast comments sounded differently.

What kind of "impact" did her role on "Murder at the Presidio" make? It was a movie of the week, and I'm not sure to which degree these films are watched/noticed by "relevant" casting people. I hope Lucci will answer my question what feature film she shot in Arizona this summer.

Film & TV: Hmm, I wonder what she's gonna put up there. Maybe some personal comments on several of her roles? An extended and illustrated version of the credits section?

Still missing are a links page (no, not only for a link to this board ) as well as information on her early life and on future projects. I'd also love to see short video clips or audio messages. Yes, I'm so demanding.

Edit: I agree with you. While family and fans may have helped her build her site it read and felt very personal. Nice touch by Lucci.

Okay... I just got back and wow! I wasn't expecting much of a gallery, but it's great to see a good quality pic section on an official website. I like the whole grassroots feel of it too. Bookmarked!

My name is Kelly (I actually worked in VFX on seasons II and III which is how I know Luciana) and I am trying to get a hold of that kitty.
She's been boucning around between LA and toronto a lot as far as I know and nearly impossible to get a hold of and I am trying to get some news from her so I can update her site. Yes, I am the registered owner of the domains, which I picked up for her out of a fluke also snagging her .com domain after some other chick in panama had it. Please excuse my limited knowledge of production terms. Does VFX mean? "Visual special effects?" I am sure we would love to hear about your work and any work related stories you have with Lucci.

Hey Kelly Kat, thanks for popping in!

I'd like to thank you for setting up Lucci's website - we learned some interesting details about her past, and we particularly enjoyed the photo gallery.

Frankly, when I read your request the first time, I was a little amused. I mean, why would her official webmaster need to come to us for getting in touch with Luciana? It's only now that I see that this just another effect of her being so busy auditioning and taking acting classes.

Anyway, I guess Solium helped you out already.

When I googled your name and alias, I noticed several things. First, you call yourself Kat, too. How did that came about? Is it because of Lucci's character? And did you meet on set? Second, the better half of your demo reel features scenes from the legendary "Scar" to which you have contributed a great deal apparently. Needless to say, these excellent visuals are the perfect complement to the superb writing and the acting of both Katee and Lucci.

Third, I was surprised by how open you write about the trials and tribulations of working in the VFX department. You know, I am the humble webmaster of Germany's only BSG 03 site, and if you ever feel the urge to spill the beans about egomaniacal producers, overpaid divas, incompetent co-workers, and the magical sense of wonder - be my guest.

BTW: Do you know the inofficial Battlestar Wiki? It is run by fans, but it has strict policies with respect to sourcing and fanwanking. Even Bradley Thompson came aboard (as Ngarenn) and answered some questions in the Official Communiques area. In case you are interested and have the time, you may sign up, edit articles on the VFX crew aspect of the show, and/or answer question, too.
