Why Weren't The Hijackers Iraqi?

Things would have been SOOOOO much easier for the Bush administration if the hijackers were Iraqi instead of Saudi.

We did not have a relationship with Iraq where we could recruit there men as CIA assets. Saudi nationals, pakistani's, ex-mujahadeen, etc, are a different story. These guys had long established trails that could be followed to lead people away from the true plot.

Starting a war with Iraq was never gonna be a problem.

Covert operations and other government crimes draw from ordinary intelligence programs using common resources. If not, one would have to establish an alternative parallel bureaucracy.
By simpy using the many secret and dubious programs that were already in place for decades- for the use money laundering, gun running, drug running and of course other acts of false flag terrorism- elements within the command struture can carry out such acts without bureaucratic resistance, public scrutiny or any major obstacle they would face if they were to improvise their methods.

Saudi Arabia was the main recruiting front for such activities since the late 1970's, therefore it should come as no surprise that the patsies were of Saudi origin.

Besides, when it comes to the demonization based on the 9/11 myth; the racist blood libel against the Muslims applies to one billion people in total, and has proven to be much more effective than merely scapegoating a single country. By scapegoating a race or religion, you can scapegoat dozens of countries.

Why? To most Americans, all middle easterners are the same. ALSO, the goal was never JUST to go into Iraq...but Afghanistan, Iran, etc.

Also, I doubt the US had a choice what jihadists Pakistani ISI and Saudi Arabia tricked into being a part of "the holy tuesday/planes operations".
