Update!
After many months, the staff are delighted to say that Long Live the Queen is officially opened! Guests are now able to create original characters, or apply for a canon character.
We are very excited to see how you will play your character and what mark you will make in the Court. How does your character feel about Queen Elizabeth I and the fact that she is unmarried? Is your character from another country and wants a war? We are more than anxious to find out!
Warmest regards,
Gloriana
Welcome to Long Live the Queen
"I do not like wars, they have uncertain outcomes."
- Queen Elizabeth Tudor
Welcome to Long Live the Queen. We are an alternate universe RPG set in the infamous Tudor era, a time when England was full of people who would say one thing and do the other. We are rated PG-16, so it is preferred if those who register be sixteen years of age. Before you register, I would ask that you acquaint yourself with the rules and plot, as well as the canons that are unclaimed. You will need to register with your character name - first and last, if you please. After registering, you will need to fill out a character application before you can begin posting in our forums. Once you apply and are approved, you can begin your roleplaying experience in the Tudor England of Long Live the Queen Thank you,
The staff of Long Live the Queen
Our Story
Let our story begin
Elizabeth, daughter of King Henry VIII and Queen Anne Boleyn, is now the Queen of England. She rules with no husband by her side and under the careful guidance of her mother. Our story is simple. Anne Boleyn was never arrested, never named a traitor, and never executed. Jane Seymour was exposed as a witch and punished accordingly. Elizabeth has lived her life constantly in the care of her mother, whom she loves and loves her greatly. Now, surrounded by uncertainties on all sides, and questioning who to trust, Elizabeth soon finds herself unsure of what she must do.
How will you fair in this uncertain world?
Welcome to Court.
&
Long live the Queen.

The canons on this site, for the most part, belong to history. History has written its own story about these men and women, and we here at Long Live the Queen only work to rewrite that history to their advantage. The plot is not to be stolen, for it probably would not make sense on any other website set in the Tudor Era

Apartments of the Queen Mother Under other circumstances, this apartment would be the King's, but this is not the case. A majority of the rooms are decorated in a French style, though there are English tapestries. Her bedchamber is highly decorated, some windows looking over a magnificent fountain on the palace grounds.

Apartments of the Queen Each room is lavishly decorated, even her Privy Chamber. The tapestries in the rooms are magnificent, showing various scenes. Her Majesty's bedchamber is at the centre, and the others rooms branch off from it. The bedchamber is decorated in an English fashion, but in a way that is uniquely Tudor.

Rooms of the Courtiers and Servants Several courtiers and dozens of servants also reside at Whitehall, and most of the courtiers do not leave the palace when they are at Court. Each courtier has his own room, and each room has a fireplace. There are four servants to each room, and those are situated throughout the palace.

The Great Hall Almost centrally located in the palace, this hall has many uses. The most frequent use of this area is for banquets, feasts held to show welcome to foreign dignitaries or in reverence of holidays like Christmas. Musicians are present at every feast, and dancing accompanies most celebrations.

The Palace Grounds From footpaths to gardens, the grounds of Whitehall are exquisite. The footpaths, as well as the gardens, provide opportunities for quiet and solitary thinking. The main highlight of the grounds is a luxurious fountain, one that holds significance for the royal family.

London Being the capital city of England, London is one of the primary places in the country when not talking about the palace. Some parts of London, like any other city during this era, are not the best after certain times. Though, if you ask courtiers, these same parts have the best ales in the country.ParliamentWestminster AbbeyWhitehall PalaceThe River Thames

Hertfordshire In the city of Hertford, England, Hertfordshire was the home of the Princess Elizabeth during her years at Hatfield House. Compared to the overall size of Hertford, Hertfordshire is fairly small. Aside from Hatfield House, there are only small houses and farms dotting the delicate countryside.Hatfield House

Bath Home to a wonderful Roman bath, Bath is the place to go to relax and let some tension ease away. There are also banquet halls here, though most prefer to relax at the baths. The water is rumoured to have healing qualities, though it mainly smells like sulfur.

Canterbury Home of Canterbury Cathedral, this is the seat of the Archbishop of Canterbury. Though, the Archbishop is mainly in the palace instead of Canterbury itself. Some worshipers make a pilgrimage to Canterbury to honour Thomas Becket, a man revered as a martyr and saint for his crusade against Henry the Second.

Paris The capital of France, Paris is the main hub of activity for the country. No matter the time of the year, there always seems to be some type of celebration; no matter what type of celebration it is. Some political matters are covered here, but those are mainly conducted in Fontainebleau or at the Houses of Parliament.

Fontainebleau Located some distance away from Paris, Fontainebleau is its own tiny city. Like any French city, Fontainebleau has its own share of taverns and markets. The main piece of the city is the Palace, but there is a forest in the city that provides for hunting. The ForestPalais du Fontainbleau

Madrid The capital of Spain, Madrid is the second best city in the country next to Barcelona. El Escorial is situated close to Madrid, but not actually within in city itself. Madrid is highly popular during the summer months, but one would do well not to inquire as to what takes place.El Escorial
