--Basics--
Name: Adol Christin Age: 23 Gender Male Race: Human Pure Race or Mix: Pure Allegiance: Aesthete Occupation (if Applicable): Swordsman Residence: Inns and camp sites around the world.
--Family-- Parents: Father: Toran (Deceased) Mother: Abelia (Lives in a distant land) Siblings: Not that he knows of. Married?: No Children: No
--Appearance Basics--
Height: 6' 0'' Weight: 176lbs Hair Colour: Dark Brown Eyes: Brown Distinguishing Features: Scar on his left cheek and chest
--Physical Appearance-- Adol is a muscularly toned man of twenty three years of age. He stands at a height of six feet and has dark brown hair and eyes to match. He has a slightly wider than normal nose and toned cheek bones that curve into apointed chin. On the left side of his face is a scar from a battle only a few years before. He is a fit man and his muscles are toned, however they are not enormous and tree-like. His chest and arms are both built in this fashion. On his chest is another scar from the same battle.
Adol wears custom a made cuirass. It is strong armor made from a new way of heating the steel. This custom smithery job is what makes the armor light and flexible, but sturdy and resistant. The armor was imbuned with the power of fire crystals and rubies giving its wearer the ability to be immune to any form of fire or heat, these stones are also what gives his armor its red color. Adol also wears matching gauntlets, cuisses and sabatons, all imbuned with the same materials, in tougher situations he will also wear his armet, which is also enchanted this way.
Underneath his armor, Adol wears a simple black tunic with cloth trousers to match. At his side he carries another custom forged piece of equipment, his heat blade. As you may have guessed, his sword is also forged with the power of fire crystals and rubies. When drawn, the blade is immediately ignited with flame.
--Personality-- Adol is a quiet but friendly man, except when it comes to the ladies. When a female is present, Adol becomes a charming and nearly irresistable hunk of a man. One of his best traits when trying to seduce a woman is his smile, women a lot of the time will go crazy over him and not even know why. Some people who have seen it happen say he's a sorcerer and can bewitch women's minds into liking him. However this is not the case, he merely knows what words to say and how to say them, no spells or tricks involved.
Other than women, Adol is very friendly, though more on the quiet side, with every other person he comes across as well. He even shows kindness to some of his enemies. This is shown by his dislike for defeating a weak opponent, he likes challenges and finds no honor in an easy win. If an opponent is too weak to face against Adol, he will allow the opponent to live and grow stronger, thus allowing him to have an honorable victory over a worthy opponent.
--Likes/Dislikes-- Likes: --People --Women --Fighting honorable and worthy challengers
Dislikes: --Weak and unworthy challengers
--History-- Adol Christin was born in a small village of a kingdom to the west of Illiria. There he was raised by his father, Toran, and his mother, Abelia. During his childhood, Adol was a very shy boy and did not like to talk in front of anyone he did not know. However his shyness slowly began to fade at about age seven. He met with a young girl, only a year younger than himself and became very close friends in a short while. They would play together often, usually pretending that she was a princess and that he would be the knight to rescue her, using sticks for weapons and livestock as the monsters.
Within a few years, Adol had decided to turn his fantasy into a reality. He promised his friend that he would become a strong knight. He gave her his word that once he had become that, that he would come to her rescue if she ever needed it. Adol began to train himself in the ways of the sword, and though he was young and had a few flaws in his techniques, he was learning fast. A young elf boy had ventured into the forest clearing near Adol's home one day and witnessed Adol's skills.
The young elf, Halas, approached Adol with curiosity. The elf introduced himself and Adol did the same, though Adol was a little shy at first. Adol and the elf soon became acqiuainted and shortly after became friends. For weeks Adol and Halas would play fight together as training, they were actually more or less just goofing off than training. Halas offered to Adol one day, a chance to learn under a real swordsmaster. Adol jumped at this opportunity and followed Halas to meet his father, Hasufel.
At about the age of eighteen, Adol had become a skilled fighter. His training was nearly completed when the elf village was attacked. Several lives were lost, along with Halas and Hasufel. Adol managed to escape with only a few gashes, one on his face and the other on his chest.
A few years ago, Adol met with a master smithy and became friends. After doing a few jobs for the smithy, the man repaid Adol by forging armor and a sword, and imbuning them with rubies, and rare fire crystals. When forged properly, these pieces of equipment would be enchanted with the power of fire. The wearer of the armor would become immune to fire and with the sword would have the ability to manipulate the element.
With Adol's new armor, weapon and skills, he became an even stronger swordsman. Though he still has a lot to learn about his mastery, it will not take him nearly as long as it would have had he not been introduced to the elf swordsmaster. Adol has since been called Adol the Red and has been searching for both work and his childhood friend.
--Skills-- Adol posesses only a few skills, one is his charm. Making friends and seducing women are easily done with his charm and wit. The second of his abilities is his skill with a sword, currently unmatched and an agile fighter, Adol is definitly a swordsman that is a force to be wreckoned with. His last skill, though being his weakest, is still formidable to his opponents, he has the skill to manipulate fire due to the enchantments of his armor and weapon, this manipulation also includes immunity to fire magic cast upon him.
--Weaknesses-- Adols weaknesses are few, but they can easily cost him his life if taken too lightly. The first is his hastiness. Adol can jump to conclusions to quickly which almost always turns out to be a turn for the worse when meeting new people. The second of his weaknesses is his trust. He trusts some people too much and too soon, especially if it a woman. Adol can easily be tricked into a trap, even more so if the trick involves an alluring young female. The third of his weaknesses, and probably the most deadly to him, is his weakness for water magic. It is his armor that is the cause of this, though fire is a strong element, it too has its weaknesses. While wearing his armor, a water spell can kill him if it happens to be strong enough.

--Basics-- Name: Drake Bronsen Age: 57 Gender Male Race: Human Pure Race or Mix: Pure Allegiance: Traveller) Occupation (if Applicable): Mercenary/Slayer Residence: Inns that have a room available. --Family-- Parents: Falcor and Alicia Bronsen (both deceased due to age.) Siblings: Drake was an only child. Married?: Drake was married at one time, lost his wife, Constance, to illness. Children: He has no children. --Appearance Basics-- Height: 6' 1'' Weight: 198 lbs Hair Colour: Light brown, but graying in areas. Eyes: red-brown Distinguishing Features: Aged face, scar on his left cheek, scruffy beard. --Physical Appearance--: Drake Bronsen is an aged man and has all the physical appearances as such. His light brown hair is cut short, is graying in patches and is usually in a messy state. His face has age lines and he has a scar on his left cheek. Drake's beard is scruffy and has gray patches just like his hair. His nose and chin trace down to a slight point and his eyes are narrow and almost seem cold and uncaring. Drake's body, though aged, is well built and toned. He is evenly figured with somewhat sculpted muscle tone, he is not completely ripped, but he is not flabby either. Across his chest and down his arms he has a number of scars from his many years of being a slayer and swordsman. Bronsen is usually seen wearing his black leather tunic over a darkened chain mail and black leather trousers with boots and hand wraps to match. --Personality-- Drake, being an ex-knight, has many righteous qualities. However, due to his occupation change, he has lost some of these traits. The qualities he retains are kindness, caring and a sense of duty. His sense of justice has faded and now cares not for such a thing. That sense has been replaced by a monetary compensation sense, he will no longer fight for what is right, only for the money. He does know how to be polite and respectful, however, only to those he thinks deserve it. Bronsen is a strict man and does not take lightly to slackers or young men who don’t pay attention in his teachings. His lack of trust has led him to be very cautious around anyone he meets. Bronsen always keeps his guard up no matter what the situation. He has learned over his many years that those who you trust the most are the most dangerous people of all and that they can betray you just as easily, if not easier, than anyone else. To fully earn Bronsen’s trust is a great honor, but it is also incredibly hard to do. --Likes/Dislikes-- -Likes- -Money -Sword combat -Beast slaying -Wandering the wild -Dislikes- -When things don’t go his way -Incompetent apprentices -Working for free -Civilized living quarters --History-- Drake Bronsen was born fifty-seven years ago in a little village a short distance away from the Illirian kingdom border. His father, Falcor, was a string man with a strong sense of pride. Falcor was a knight of the Illirian court and a skilled swordsman. His mother, Alicia, was a kind and caring woman with a good heart. She was a ranger who had traveled the land and lived only for herself (until she met Falcor and gave birth to Drake that is.) As a boy, Drake was given the usual chores a young boy would be given, feed the livestock, tend to the fields and such. But during the times his father was home, Drake was taught the art of swordplay and was put through rigorous training for hours. Yes, as one might expect, the training did take it’s toll on the boy. He would be left drained of his energy by the end of the session and would usually need a day or two to recover. The training had it’s positive effects though, by the time he became of age to join the Illirian court knights, Bronsen was already skilled above all the recruits that applied with him. He could even best some of the senior knights. During his younger years as a knight, Drake had seen several battles, most of which he was requested to join due to his incredible skill with a sword, word of which spread quickly throughout the knights and up to the commanders of the army. He was not a perfect swordsman though. He received his share of battle scars, but nothing serious and certainly none that kept him from fulfilling his duties as a knight. When Drake had reached his late twenties, he met a young woman named Constance during his stay at an inn of a land a short distance away from Illiria. The woman was of course a barmaid and had little money to her name. She had been employed by her lecherous and perverted uncle into a terrible life of mistreatment and twisted desires. Bronsen was disgusted when he heard of her story and offered his service as a guardian to her free of charge. Constance returned to Illiria with Drake and was married to him only a half year later. A year and a half later, Constance fell ill with a sickness that had claimed a decent number of lives in Illiria. Doctors and priests could not do anything to save her and soon her life had ended and her spirit left her to join the celestial choir. Bronsen was heartbroken. He felt that even though he kept on living, his life had ended. Without explaining his reason to anyone, he resigned from the life as a knight and began living only to survive. Several years later, during his mid-forties, Bronsen had heard of a terrifying beast that was ravaging the mountain paths and attacking innocent travelers. In a local tavern was posted a reward for the capture or slaying of the beast. The reward was a hefty amount due to the fact that the road was a necessary route for trade. Drake seized the opportunity to make a name for himself again and have a reason to live. He slew the beast and was given his reward. Many travelers and merchants spread word of Bronsen’s victory to other towns and villages quickly. The man who had lost the one thing he held most dear, was finally able to put the past behind him. Drake has since traveled the lands in search places in need of a beast slayer. He now wanders the wilderness of Illiria in search of more work. --Skills-- Drake’s sword skill, since his resignation from the Illirian knights, has been unmatched. He has not yet been bested by any who have crossed blades with him. His hunting and tracking skills are sensitive and equal to that of Elves, though his hearing is not as acute as theirs, his other senses are all used when he is tracking a bounty. Drake’s knowledge of the wild and beasts is incredibly advanced. He is knowledgeable of all known beasts in the Illirian kingdom and some that are unknown and knows exactly how to approach and slay all of them if need be. --Weaknesses-- Most of Drake’s weaknesses are due to his age. Though he is strong and a skilled swordsman, in his old age he is not able to gain any more strength and in due time, he will begin to lose what strength he has. Drake’s trust is also a weakness. Because he does not fully trust anyone, he has lost several allies who would have given their lives for him. He over-analyzes things and most of the time will leave him with more doubt in his mind than when he first meets a person. As he is a ranger, he lives only for himself and fights only for money. He has no friends or acquaintances that would help him if he were ever in a bind. Hunting beasts solo is a good thing only because he does not need to share the bounty, but having partners and allies would help ensure that he will live through the hunt, and as stated before, he has none. --Other Information-- Sword Arsenal: Cmyoan: This sword is given to the master hunters of the Slayer's Guild. Few have achieved the rank of master hunter, but those who have were awarded this sword as the mark of a true hunter. The sword is enchanted to be razor sharp and does not need to be sharpened. Clyma: The sword of scales. The blade of this sword has been coated in the blood of snakes, fish and lizards. It can pierce most types of scales, dragon scales being the exception. Given to Drake to defeat a basilisk with and awarded to him when it had been dispatched. Drihtan: The sword of thunder forged from thunderstones and amethysts. Given to drake by a blacksmith skilled in the art of enchanted sword smithing. Though Drake has not used it yet, it holds the power of thunder. Effective against most water element based creatures. Meva: The sword of life imbibed with the pure essence of life. This is not a sword of death and destruction, it can only provide healing abilities. When drawn, the sword emits a bright, soothing light. Given to Drake by an elf priest as a guide to light dark paths and heal the innocent victims of war. Paycd: The beast sword. Forged by the Hyama with gold and silver, this short sword is effective against beast type creatures. Though there are swords that would be more effective against each specific beast type, this will still get the job done. Tasuh: The demon slayer. Given to Drake by the head master of the Slayer's Guild in order to hunt Blaise and other demons. The ruby in the hilt can detect demonic energy and glows brighter as the proximity range closes in on the demon. Tnykuh: The dragon sword. This sword was forged by a royal fae blacksmith. Created from dragonite ore and firestones, and bathed in the blood of a hundred dragons. This sword will pierce the toughest dragon scales and not dull. The daggers are of Drake's own addition. Meuh: The lion tamer. A sword given to Drake by the neko youkai clan. It was given to him to destroy a were-tiger that plagued the clan. The were-tiger happened to be a rogue member of their own tribe. Its blade is effective against cat type beasts. Vena: The sword of fire. Vena is a sword of defense and was given to Drake by a flame wizard in order to protect him against the flames of wyverns and dragons. It does a good number on ice element based creatures as well. Pmewwynt: The blizzard sword. Shoots ice bolts that freeze enemies. Very effective against fire based enemies. --Face Claim-- Jeremy Irons

--Appearance Basics--
Height: 6' 5'' Weight: 225lbs Hair Color: Blue Eyes: Green Distinguishing Features: He is a tall and well built man with blue hair.
--Physical Appearance-- Dogi is a muscularly toned man of twenty five years of age. He stands at a height of six feet, five inches and has blue hair and green eyes. He has a narrow nose and bony cheekbones that angle into a pointed chin. His handsome face is untainted by scars of any kind. He is a fit man and his muscles are toned, however they are not enormous and tree-like. His chest and arms are both built in this fashion. On his chest is another scar from the same battle.
Dogi wears custom a made gauntlet and traveler’s cape. The gauntlet is made out of a rare metal called blurite, also known as frost stone due to its icy blue hue and the areas where it is found. The traveler’s cape is made out of silk of a creature known as Aracni-icis, a frost spider found far north of the Illirian borders. It has the same properties as Adol’s armor, only with frost properties instead of flame.
Underneath his armor, Adol wears a simple charcoal tunic with black leather trousers. On his back he carries his Diamond Blade. Again, this piece of equipment is much like Adol’s sword, only with the power of ice.

However, if anyone happens to be on his bad side, he is sure to make them know it and in a painful way.

--Basics-- Name: Valerie Guilespie Alias: Blood Moon, Luna, Night Whisper Age: 22. Race: Vampire Gender: Female Pure Race or Mix: Pure Allegiance: Rebel Occupation: No set occupation. Though she considers flirting her work. She does not make any money from it, however she does obtain a victim to satisfy her vampiric needs Residence: Her father's Hyama castle. --Family-- ((This may not apply - if it does not please say so and explain why)) Parents: Varrok Guilespie, father (Human), Cornelia Harrow-Guilespie, mother (Human). Siblings: None Married?: No Children: No --Appearance Basics-- Height: 5’ 6’’ Weight: 125 lbs. Hair Colour: Dirty Blonde Eyes: Sapphire Blue. Distinguishing Features: Wavy, curly hair that drops to her mid back, her bright eyes, and attractive, feminine figure. Vampire fangs. --Physical Appearance--: Valerie Guilespie is a beautiful woman with gorgeous features. Standing at a height of five feet six inches, Valerie is a beautiful, blond bombshell with a petite, but still curvy, figure. Her sapphire blue eyes are not only beautiful, but she uses them as a tool of seduction. Valerie has slightly pale skin, yet it is soft as silk. The corners of her peach-colored lips are always curled into an alluring smile. Behind her soft lips, however, were her deadly fangs. Valerie’s body is slender and fit. She is definitely an eye turner in crowds and she enjoys the attention she receives. Her bosom is another of her tools of seduction, and is always enhanced by a tight fitting leather corset (naturally a 34B). Her long legs are always silky to the touch and are kept at least partially showing all the time. Valerie knows a few tricks needed to lure men to her and she uses every asset she is given to make it happen. She learned these tricks from observing other women as they were trying to attract men to their beds. She is a charming and beautiful woman, and most men do eventually give in to her advances. --Photograph--: --Personality--: Valerie is a seductress in every sense of the word. Though by day she is an innocent girl playing the part of a beautiful Human maiden, by night she is a vicious Vampire temptress that will lure men to feed on. Like every woman, she has her moments of moodiness, being the vampire she is now, it is a very unwise decision to irritate her during this time, but at most other times she is an upbeat person (usually during the daylight hours). When night falls, she becomes an alluring young woman that flirts with the men, and sometimes women, she meets. Usually, more often than not, she flirts to lure in order to feed, however, the pure nature in her is still longing to fall in love with a man that she does not wish to kill to satisfy her own Vampiric urges. --Likes/Dislikes— --Likes Seducing men (sometimes women). Drinking blood --Dislikes Taste and smell of Garlic and Onions Holy Relics --History-- Valerie was born twenty-two years ago to a noble man, Varrok Guilespie, and a beautiful maiden, Cornelia Harrow. Her father too had become a vampire during the first year of Valerie's life, in fact he had been bitten by the same vampire that attacked Valerie years later. Because of this, Valerie had an isolated childhood, unfortunately, she had the misfortune of leaving home once and had also been attacked and bitten by a vampire. For the longest time, Valerie stayed inside, her father and mother taking care of her vampiric needs and keeping her out of the sun for fear that she'd perish in the light. They were well informed about the abilities and weaknesses of vampires and were fearful to risk losing their daughter. During her young teenage years, Valerie realized just how strong an effect the sun had on her. She became weakened, but still had enough strength to move around and walk to and from places when the sun was at weak points. However, in the peak, power hours of the sun, she needed to find shelter from the harmful light or else she would certainly turn to dust. ((Please keep in mind this depends on the severity of the Sunlight, for example high noon during the summer would likely kill her, an overcast day in winter would probably give the effect you list here)). The circumstances were unfortunate, but with no ill repercussions such as death, as her parents suspected there would be. She had made a trip to Retarias for some groceries and lost track of time. Dawn was breaking and she did not have enough time to return to her father’s Hyama castle. Valerie believed that she was done for and was prepared to die. When the sun began to peek over the horizon, it caught Valerie straight in the face. She shielded her eyes from the bright light, but found it to be less than both her and her parents had suspected. She did not die or turn to ash, merely felt more tired and weak, more than she did at night. Her agility and vitality had decreased dramatically as well. For nearly all of her life, she remained in the castle, however, now unafraid of the sun and came and went as she pleased. Her father was taken from her in her later years. He had been slain by a vampire hunter. The hunter believed that Valerie and her mother were prisoners of Varrok and released them. Cornelia did not tell the hunter that the vampire was her husband for fear of losing her daughter as well. Valerie and her mother remained living in the castle until Cornelia died years later. She never remarried and was always depressed which led Valerie to believe that it was the cause of her mother’s death. Valerie still resides in the castle left to her by her father and lives out her life as a rebel swordswoman and seductress. She lures men and women back to her castle in order to drink their blood but using the guise of seduction and lust. None who have been taken by her have ever returned. --Description of Race— The children of the night, vampires are reborn into a un-life of eternal darkness once embraced. Being unable to see the sun again, their condition is often seen as a curse, a view shared by some vampires; but by the same accord, many see it as much a gift as curse. They are creatures often seen as dark, brooding, and lustful. Others view them as little more than monsters- beasts that feed on other sentient beings. Regardless of the take on them it does not change that they are all of the above and more in general. Just as with every race, each vampire is unique in how they behave, view the life of others, as well as how they view their own circumstances. Their physical description range and vary nearly as greatly as there are races in the world. Their physical appearance is dictated based on the race they were before being turned into a vampire, the most common appearance of them are humans, however, this is perhaps because humans are the largest and most easily preyed upon population. Their skin tone pales from the normal races, many times this is slight to extreme. They gain a set of extended canines, these are used for feeding, thus their names. These are not retractable. When in extreme hunger, or in the midst of feeding/preparing to feed, each ones eyes will change colors. A swirl of red pigment will start from the iris and move outward in a spiral pattern until the entire whites are masked. All vampires, even the strongest, must sleep during the days. The sun -will- destroy a vampire or at least make them weaker than they would be at night. Blessed Holy Symbols will repel a vampire, at least to a degree and may glow. Normal such symbol do nothing at all. In a whole they are prone to magic of divine origin, often times giving them reason to avoid holy places. A steak through the heart will not kill a vampire. It is extremely painful, and does take a long period to heal, but won't kill them. Water and fire are dangerous and at times deadly to vampires. A vulnerability to moving water such as a river or fast flowing stream. Stagnant or mostly still waters (such as a pond) would not hinder them at all. As well, they can move easily anywhere mist or fog forms. Fire severally limits their ability to heal the affected area, many times a vampire will find themselves incapable of healing wounds created through fire. If one of them is came across with severe scaring it is usually a safe bet they had a run in with a flame. Vampires are NOT born, they are only made. Embracing the very young, or the very old, is not done. While it is possible, to do so is to sign their own death warrants in most cases. Also, vampires CANNOT reproduce. It is impossible, completely, utterly, not possible. The first week after becoming a vampire are the hardest. The emotions and memories of their old life are at their strongest and constantly haunt them, as well their lust for blood is nearly insatiable. Any magic a vampire was able to cast before becoming a vampire they lose. Because they are no longer human (or insert race) they lose those abilities. Older vampires are uncommon (250+ years) and very old vampire (500+) are rare. If a vampire cuts its hair, the hair will regrow during the day when they sleep, it does this at approximately the same rate as it did when they were mortal. Vampires do not have sex, at least not in the same way we view it. They may become involved in something "similar", but it is more like "heavy petting" than actual sex. Male vampires, especially those from powerful bloodlines, keep a constant erection. Thus one of the reasons they tend to wear long coats, and loose clothing. Vampires by nature are bisexual. A vampire must stop feeding before a victim's heart stops, if they choose to kill them, otherwise the will and conscious of their victim will 'pull them into death' as well. They -can- feed upon a mortal -without- killing them. Drinking of dead blood is distasteful. While not toxic, and certainly not fatal, it can make them feel ill. Dead Blood is any blood not supporting life. AKA: blood bank blood, blood in an already dead victim, etc. All vampires gain the ability to leap great distances, heights and lengths great enough to outdo even world-class athletes. On the same note, some also gain the ability to levitate, but none can actually 'fly'. All vampires gain a limited telepathy. This telepathy allows them to sense other vampires, humans, and other creatures to a degree. More powerful vampires can in a sense 'hide' their presence from much weaker vampires, and those of non-vampiric origins. This telepathy includes a limited ability to 'charm' or 'captivate' a mortal upon gaze{however, this must be approved by the controller of the mortal}. Most vampires, like humans, want companionship and it is often found in the form of a covenant. They are groups of vampires that have bonded together for various reasons, though most share a similar ideology and, or creed. The covenants are meritocracies, led by strongest and wisest of their covenant. His or her rule is complete and their word unchallenged. To go against the code of the covenant is to be exiled, at best if it is a major offense. But, really it varies from covenant to covenant, leader to leader. They are created when the person is drained of blood, then fed that of his or her sire. As it is inside of the Anne Rice novels. If a lycan is changed they lose their lycan qualities and become purely vampire; creatures such as elves cannot be embraced at all. --Skills-- Her charm works wonders on the minds and hearts of men. She can flirt with and seduce men quite easily with her charm, wit and her way with words, she uses this same tactic on women as well. Lastly she uses her blood leeching to control her vampiric lusts and her youthful form. Men are to keep her hunger satisfied while women are used to maintain the appearance of a healthy young human girl. --Weaknesses-- As stated before she has a weakness for garlic. She cannot eat it for she will become violently ill and on the verge of death. Holy relics are also a discomfort to her, they cause her arcane magic to be suppressed and if used correctly against her, will reveal her true vampiric nature. Holy magic is her biggest weakness, if hit with a spell from a priest or paladin, she will more than likely perish. Blessed steel is also a weakness. She cannot be killed by normal means (by that I mean anything that would usually cause death to a human, i.e. a simple sword through the stomach or heart, or any other conventional means of killing non-vampiric races), but a blade or an arrowhead crafted from blessed steel will mix with her blood and make it boil and burn her from the inside out, turning her to ash. --Role-play Sample - Please show the use of your characters race’s gifts, such as the elemental magic for elementals etc.-- Valerie strode into the Silver Serpent near dusk. Many civilians had already ended their work shifts and had come here for a drink. Valerie had also come for a drink, now she just had to find the right mad to drink with. She had her black travel hood draped around her shoulders and her long flowing dress underneath. Her dress was blood red with black lace accents. It was a very gothic look, but due to her wealth, it did not matter. The vampire seductress gazed around the room slowly, searching for a lone patron. She located a young man. He was sitting by himself at the bar, nursing a mug of ale. Valerie had picked up the scent of the level of intoxication that was in the young man. He was indeed drunk, but not too much so that he would completely ignore her advances. Valerie strode over to the bar and took a seat next to the man. ”Oh my, it is awfully crowded in here.” She said aloud to the man, playing it off as just a random comment. The man looked up from his mug and caught a glimpse of the beautiful elf next to him. Valerie had the looks of an elf to the common eye. Her only physical vampiric trait she had was her fangs, but she kept those hidden. Other than that, she was completely an elf on the outside. The man spoke to her. ”Sure is, but it’s usually quite crowded around this time.” He replied to her comment. Valerie turned to the man. ”Why aren’t you a nice man, talking to a lonely girl in a crowded tavern.” She said to him. ”You seem nice enough, would you mind recommending anything to drink here?” She asked. The man glanced down at his own drink. ”This here is called a Blood Tear.” He replied. Valerie was already intrigued by the name. ”It is made from red wine, rolanberry ale, strawberry juice and a hint of citrus ale. I have two every night. It is a very strong drink though.” The man ordered another Blood Tear for Valerie. [b]”By the way, my name is Cortland, may I ask your name?”[/color] ”My name is Valerie.” She replied. She had found the perfect victim. She could smell the delicious blood that ran through his veins and she had decided she was going to drink it to keep her hunger at bay for quite some time. After a few more drinks, Valerie and the man had already talked about many different topics. When she finished her third ale, she began to pretend that she was drunk. ”I would, lu-hike, to.. ‘hic’ .. contu-hinue our schat hin pri.. ‘hic’ .. vhate.” She acted as she began tracing her fingertips up his thigh. ”Whu-hut d’yoo su-hay.. ‘hic’ ..?” The man had no clue as to what she had planned when they were behind closed doors. He agreed and they left the tavern and headed out and back to the man’s residence. --Other Information— Face Claim: Lauren Conrad

--Basics-- Name: Veranus Darkside (Will take other identities depending on his appearance.) Age: 142 Race: Demon Hell Knight Shapeshifter Gender: Male Pure Race or Mix: Pure Allegiance: Rebel Occupation: Demon Swordmaster Residence: A dark tower near the Sea of Myra. --Family-- Parents: Dante Darkside, Elizabeth Lione. Siblings: Vargas Darkside. Married?: No Children: No --Appearance Basics-- (As a shapeshifter he can alter appearance, but this is him in his preferred humanoid appearance). Height: 6' 2'' Weight: 198lbs Hair Colour: Dirty Blond Eyes: Red Distinguishing Features: His eyes glow brighter and redder the more irritated he gets. --Physical Appearance--: Short, spiky, dirty blond hair and scruffy facial hair to match. He has a young, healthy and muscular body due to absorbtion of soul auras of his victims. He is generally dressed in black armor with silver trim, however, on occasion he will dress in rather dapper looking attire. On his back there is a tattoo of a demonic crest. This crest is the source of his power as well as his weakness. His true form is what's known as a Hell Knight. He takes on the name Vanquish and stands at a height of 6' 5'' while in this form and wears black armor with a red hooded cloak to hide his face. The spikes on the armor are wreathed in red hot flames. He has wings that are pure flame. His entire body underneath the armor is pure demonic fire. The only part of his body visible in this form are his wings and hands. With armor and hood: Hell Knight without armor--Personality--: Veranus is generally an evil person but will hide his true nature with acts of uncharacteristic personality traits. His general purpose in life is one that plagues most who possess power, and that is to attain more power. Despite his primarily evil nature, every so often a gentle, kind aura will surface due to some of the 'good' souls he has devoured. This side of his personality usually arises when he finds something or someone he wishes to protect or save and it will remain in power whenever trouble arises for that person or cause. (Example: If he were to fall in love with someone, even though he will be evil and twisted to others, he will always love and protect that person.) --Likes/Dislikes— (Paragraph or List form please) (likes) -Soul devouring -Magic -Swordplay -Chaos -Death -Destruction -Playing mind games (dislikes) -Himself (Human side hates demonic side, demonic hates human). -Being interrupted during a "meal" -Order -Law -Peace --History-- Veranus was born into the demon world to Dante Darkside and his demon mate, Elizabeth Lione. Dante was of quite high rank in the underworld and was close to the lord of the underworld. Veranus used this connection to get close to the seat of power. Veranus had made an attempt to take the dark throne for himself but failed and was cast out into the world of men. After being thrown to the world of humans, Veranus was taken in by a dark sorcerer as an apprentice. Many years he spent hiding his true intentions to learn everything that the sorcerer knew. He had control over the darkest and deadliest arcane spells. He learned the true power of the demon language and that demon magic was even stronger than human arcane and black magic. Veranus lastly learned a dark spell that was a guaranteed death to anyone it was cast upon, and that was the spell that allowed him to absorb the souls of living and deceased creatures as well as celestial and abyssal beings. This spell would not only absorb the victim's soul, but gain any and all abilities that the person or creature possessed as well. As an added bonus, he could take on the appearance of the victim if he so chose to. He quickly mastered the spell and used it against the sorcerer. Veranus' sorcery skills multiplied, combining his own power with that of the sorcerer. He decided that the spell was too powerful for anyone else to possess. He transferred the spell crest onto his own body and destroyed the only paper copy of the spell in the entire world as to never have anyone use it against him. Over the following years, Veranus stole many souls, stealing skills of warriors and mages, adding them to his own arsenal and making him into a walking arsenal of weapons and magic. --Description of Race— (At least 4 Decent paragraphs if it is a known race and 5 paragraphs if it is a race that you have come up with Please) Veranus is a demon. Demons are generally pure evil, living to torture and corrupt others. They take pleasure in possessing and corrupting innocent people. They are immortal but are weakened by sunlight. They can be killed by angels or angelic magic. They can be also be banished but only by incredibly magical and powerful beings. They are known as devils, most likely because of their cruel nature. Every demon has one primary ability as well as the basic demon powers. This would be considered an 'advanced class' for a demon. Veranus' advanced skill is shapeshifting, a trait inherited from his mother. Demon Shapeshifters can take on the form of any of their victims, as well as have a single humanoid form to walk among the world of men undetected. This is useful for espionage and recon missions. If a demon is born in the underworld, they will generally inherit combat abilities and class ranks from the parent that holds rank in the demonic army. Veranus' gather was born a Hell Knight, which in line, meant that Veranus too was classified as a Hell Knight. Hell Knights are the underworld equivalent to Arch Angels. They are equal in power to Arch Angels, though their power is of pure evil and not of pure light. When the Hell Knight form is active, the body of the demon becomes pure flame, almost like that of fire elementals. Black armor with red trim is the trademark combat wear of the Hell Knight, with slight personal differences from demon to demon. --Skills-- Veranus has the power to absorb souls. With this power he adds the strength, vitality, intelligence, dexterity and agility that the victim possessed as well as their skills in combat, magic, etc. Being a sorcerer's apprentice for a time, Veranus has some power of arcane magic, though since he has focused most of his skill on swordplay and the physical side of combat, he does not know magic to the extent that a true sorcerer would. Any magic he would gain in the future would be inherited from his victims. The extent of his magic currently is Syphon (the spell that he uses to absorb souls), and Demon Warrior's Calling (calls forth and retreats swords from his necklace by calling the demonic name of the sword.) He also gains some demonic magic due to his ancestral lines. --Weaknesses-- All the power that Veranus has ever absorbed is stored in the crest on his back. If one were to pierce the crest in the direct center, it would destroy the crest and all of the skills he had gained from souls syphoning would vanish and he will be essentially mortal. This is why his back is kept under a plate of dark adamantium, an incredibly strong alloy that has been imbibed with dark magic. Due to his demonic heritage, any holy or celestial magic would be near fatal (if not completely fatal) if struck with a strong enough spell. Lastly, Veranus is hot-headed, short-tempered and incredibly rash. He never thinks of the consequences of his actions, at least none that he really cares about besides the desired one. This will more than often lead him into incredibly dangerous situations. --Equipment-- Dark Adamantium Sword - A sword that is of crafting to rival that of fey smithy work and is incredibly durable, yet light in weight. Dark Adamantium Armor - Tough armor that is harder to pierce than even fey steel but is a lighter load on the wearer. War Necklace - Beaded necklace that carries the essences of weapons within the beads. --RP Sample-- The air had been disturbed. Two seemingly delectable souls approached a dark, ominous tower that rose high into an always darkened sky. The Tower of Lost Souls, that was the given name for this place. Granted that its current resident was the one who began the rumor of calling it that. He lifted his head and opened his eyes. The red glow shined brightly through the darkness of the man's sleeping chambers. The man sensed the souls entering the tower as well as two others still a distance away, seemingly in pursuit. He could smell them from up here. The first two were demon sorceresses. Excellent. He thought to himself. It was never too much to steal the magics of other casters, as well as demonic powers. The two souls pursuing were easy to decipher, a skilled swordsman as well as another demon shapeshifter. This was going to be an interesting confrontation. The man slowly rose out of his bed and strode over to the window. Outside he could see two small figures nearing the base of the tower. He took a deep breath and savored the delectable souls that approached. He would devour them all. The demon descended a flight of stairs into the magic chamber just in time to see the first two arrivals. These were the demonic sorceresses. They were identical in appearance. He believed it was safe to assume that they were twin sisters. The two sisters slammed the door and backed away from it, not noticing him standing behind them. Silently he hovered over the floor and advanced toward them. When the twins realized there was another occupant in this room, they turned on the spot to see what appeared to be a young man behind them. Before they could react, he lashed out and grabbed their throats, one in each hand. "You two smell delicious." He said to them in a diabolical tone. Without hesitation he began. An eerie blue aura began to wisp around him. Two tendrils shot out an slammed the sisters in their faces. The tendrils began to absorb their souls, slowly turning the wisps blood red. When the absorbtion was complete, the wisps disappeared into the demon. The sisters had been turned into mummified corpses. The demon dropped the corpses which burst into dust upon hitting the floor. Veranus grinned down at the dust. "It turns out you were definitely delicious." He said as he gave an evil laugh. --Other Info-- Face Claim: Ryan Reynolds He can disguise himself as whomever he has touched, but only gains their skills and abilities if he has devoured their soul.
