How does a thread make it into the Archives?

There are about 4 different ways a thread can make it into the archives. This usually happens when it dies, and no one really posts in it anymore.

1) It was a defining moment in the history of the forum.

2) It had a lot of posts in it.

3) Someone just got flat out owned, or it was so hilarious it can't be helped that it's here.

4) A staff member just felt it deserved to be here.
