Rife with Conspiracy

She looked up at him a bit surprised, she hated being pulled around for anything, "Then maybe you should be theone to pick the men."

[Raven]

Lucien shook his head tersely. For all of Zahra's beauty, diving inspiration, and occasional cleverness she could be woefully ignorant sometimes. Priestess of the God of Plots indeed!

"I will make all of the proper arrangements. Finish packing your things, and meet me outside the temple before ten."

[Avena]

She set Akul onto the bed so she could pack her things, "Alright then, I shouldn't be too long," she started rummaging through her wardrobe tossing a few things on the bed.

[Raven]

Lucien apparently had no packing to do, and thus he disappeared off and on while Zahra filled her luggage. Sometimes he'd appear with a beverage or a small snack in hand, others with nothing at all. When asked what he was doing, the man replied 'just making the rounds'.

When all was ready, Lucien hefted Zahra's suitcase with one arm (no mean feat) and carried it from the room with his family in tow. Notably however, the last time he returned to them before they left he was girth with a sword.

[Avena]

Zahra eyed the sword for a second before looking up at him, "So...did you get any good men for our trip?"

[Raven]

"Tolerably, I say tolerably good my dear. Are you packed and ready to leave now? Akul as well?"

The small boy nodded his head quickly, suppressing the 'mama what's happening?' question that came to his mind.

[Avena]

"We are as ready as we can be," she took Akul's hand and started walking off, "Will we have a caravan or will we be walking? You do know how I hate walking too long of a distance."

[Raven]

"If I had wanted to kill you, I sssay kill you my dear then I would have made you walk to Tahl. However, since that eventuality has yet to arise I believe we shall indeed move in luxurious style, aboard carriages and camelsss."

Lucien's eyes were fierce enough to daunt the two men who had been sent to guard the door of the temple, ostensibly to protect the priestess, but instead meant only to keep her secluded and alone inside her bastion. They backed away, pikes shifted, and saluted so as not to arouse suspicion, even though Lucien was already aware of them. Once out of earshot he spoke again.

"We mussst make it to the gates," he said calmly, pulling Zahra and Akul into the busy streets of Axum, purposefully taking the most highly populated routes.
