Okay so the rules here at LDV! are not difficult to understand - most of it is common courtesy.

General Rules:

• Never, ever STEAL! If you did not make it/code it/write it do not claim it as yours! Stealing will not be tolerated at LDV! and we will instaban thieves. This means you should always credit wherever you can.
• Be nice! Keep arguments to a bare minimum. If you have an issue with another member, take it up with them via PM or contact a security mod. Do not air your dirty laundry in public - no one wants to see it.
• Be respectful to your fellow members and to your staff.
• Cursing - okay so the majority of people swear just don't go overboard - some people find it offensive. Be aware of your audience.
• One account per member. More than one account is unnecessary and extra accounts will be deleted without warning.
• No advertising anywhere on the site apart from the designated forums and your signature. If you receive a PM containing an advert please forward it to a member of staff along with the username of the sender.
• As a general rule, signatures should (at most) consist of one 500x300 (maximum) image (500x200 is the standard size of most sig images), your gallery links and a couple of buttons. Signatures that are too large will be removed by the security team.
• Avatars are 200x300 max - any larger and the board will resize it (which will squish it and make it ugly)
• Do not ask to be staff. If we are taking on staff there will be a notice, otherwise assume that we are not. Also, we like to promote internally, meaning you cannot expect to join simply to be on the staff - we will always consider existing and active members of the community first and only.

Gallery Rules:

• One gallery per member.
• No graphic nudity is to be posted - if you are unsure you may PM a member of staff before posting.
• Do not post more frequently than every 48 hours to state that you have updated.
• Do not leave rude or disrespectful comments in galleries - constructive criticism is allowed, being mean for the sake of being mean is not.
• Do not post new graphics anywhere other than the first post of your gallery. You may post to say that you have updated, but all graphics should be contained within that first post only.
• Inactive galleries will be moved to the Cupboard. You may PM a member of staff to get it moved back.

Chatbox Rules:

• No advertising
• No spamming
• Be courteous and friendly
• No fighting - if you have an issue with another member take it up with them via PM or involve a security mod

doHTML Rules:
doHTML is enabled in a lot of places on this board. However, if it is misused in any way that privilege will be revoked without warning.

• ALWAYS use 'preview' when using doHTML on our board. Even expert coders sometimes miss a </td> which is all it takes to cause massive problems.
• If you don't know what you're doing and think you might accidentally break the board with your code don't post it - post a screenshot instead or wrap it in code tags.
• I'll say it again - do not break our board!

This list will be updated at the discretion of the staff as and when they see fit.

Taking someone else's code and then tweaking it until it looks like a new code is NOT okay! No matter how much you change it that code still belongs to the original coder and you should not be claiming it as yours. Unless you have been given explicit permission by the original coder you are under no circumstances to pull apart their codes and use them for your own templates!

It is surprisingly rather easy to tell if a code has been ripped.

If I see this happen the culprit will be instantly banned from LDV! with no warning. Do not do it.
