i have a stock 85 lt250r that i like to drag race occasinally...its got a 38tm and just a silencer. . banshees are only beating me by a length or 2 in 300 ft. any one got a pipe and or go fast parts forsale???

-------------------- My Zilla: an 87 with a Uni air filter, no air box lid, a '90 carb with 25 pilot jet, 340 main jet, Vesrah clutch, OEM 10 over piston, B8ES plug, Boyesen reeds, Klemm research pipe, FMF turbine core muffler, 40 tooth rear sprocket, 20 inch holeshots, and a 13 tooth front sprocket.

So far I've found
FMF fatty DG national DG extreme -------------------- My Zilla: an 87 with a Uni air filter, no air box lid, a '90 carb with 25 pilot jet, 340 main jet, Vesrah clutch, OEM 10 over piston, B8ES plug, Boyesen reeds, Klemm research pipe, FMF turbine core muffler, 40 tooth rear sprocket, 20 inch holeshots, and a 13 tooth front sprocket.

ive got a bid on a fatty on ebay... nice pipe its new just ben sitting around a while.. are the the pipes you found used or??? again thank you for your help. btw there is an early works pipe on e bay too for 100.00 in good shape but its black..

Those pipes are still made, so they are new.

i know whats available- jw if you or anyone eltse had anything used kicking around- whats your opinion on the early works pipe??

Not me. I only have 500 parts, and those I'm not to willing to part with. Sorry.
I don't know. Never really knew much about the 85-86s.
I don't know. Buy it, try it, and if you don't like it, sell it?
Boyesen power reeds, FMF torque reeds, Carbon Tech low to midrange or top end, and Mossbarger are your options. Where do you want to improve?

change your sprockets to 13 x42 they will never cath you in 300 ft .

if you could find a cheap 87 250 engine youd leave in the dust for sure. well along as they dont have to much work do to them.
