One slow-ass simmer

No Nelson, you do not see back-to-back-to-back sims in the future. I'm just going to bypass last night's missed sim.

The reason for THIS missed sim (I'm full of excuses) is that am moving into adulthood, which means moving out of my house for the first time and into university residence.

So I've been packing away and stuff and then it dawned upon me that for the first couple of weeks, I probably won't have a whole lot of time to do this.

So, in talking to an old GM in this league, he suggested that I quit before heading into school...but I digress. I don't want to quit.

Instead, I'm talking a couple of weeks off to settle into school. I think that's a fair compromise, seeing as I've never been on my own. So, no sims next week or the week after. By week 3 of school, I should be good.

I'm hoping that Dave can step up and drop two sims down in the meantime in my Tuesday slot.

Send me trade offers and stuff, I'll probably be around enough to hash out one or two deals...but I won't be crawling here 5 times a day like I normally do.

And my apologies for the missed sim.

Good luck for the next couple of weeks fellas. Drop a PM, an e-mail at 7jat@queensu.ca or hit me up on msn if you want to talk. Don't let this place go to shambles. And listen to Gravy. He's the boss.

keep the league as long as you can because once the beer and women take over you won't care about anything else. Take it from us old guys who have been there.

from an old guy, adult hood is all about balance, balance of time especially so good luck with school, alcohol and women. Once you settle in i would hope you would have time for at least gming since it honestly takes 20 mins a week and like i said, its all about balance

Looks like its time for another commish and new blood

we seem to be down on gms...im in the process of training a new guy but we should all put out the word and get this league full again...a team like Chicago is wasting away without a gm

I'll definitely fill in for the sim so long as I have access to the internet.. I'm moving starting tomorrow night and I'm not sure if the internet will be turned on right away or not.. so if you guys don't hear from me for a while that's what's going on... but I'll definitely sim next tuesday for you Jake no problemo

I was in your shoes last year and I had an easy transition moving into rez, didn't really feel like I left anything. Hopefully it'll work out for you, and I'm sure you'll have a great time in uni. Which one you heading off to?

Evening gentlemen,

Just checking in...still on vacation. Well...a pretty stupendous vacation. I've been living up the university life without internet for the last little while because the computer I am occupying is being retarded.

But I just wanted to let you guys know I do not have alcohol poisoning yet, and I am doing quite well, and I am quite excited to get back into the thick of things into the L. My time off is still extending for one more week...but just wanted to say hey.

P.S - To John-o in New York...this frosh week topples Western's by far. BY FAR. And we beat you in football. Suck it.

hahahaha...keep dreaming bud, Foam parties, Dances, occasional drinking in the dorm to avoid getting written up in a "dry" o-week. We had the coolest AC/DC cover band ever for our foam party...they sounded just like them......oh and BTW with the football I was at the game and we dominated you for like 55 minutes and then fell apart!

Western O-week is da best!

Ok, I'm back, I should be back in the thick of things real soon, going to start organizing the draft and whatnot. I guess I missed the trade deadline, which is irritating...but this is a season to forget anyways. Amends will be made in the offseason. Hoorah for Phoenix!
