At some point he met up with the Seattle Survivors and have been with them sense. He was with a group on a run when they found Kai barricaded in a gas station with a group of walkers trying to get in. Unlike Kai who was in the fine arts program Kane was in the music department for singing. They two of them clicked immediately and both have been grateful that they didn't end up with a terrible room mate, especially after they heard horror stories about other people and theirs.
