"When is this rain going to stop!!!!!!" Sam didn't really hate the rain that much, but he could barely see in it. "Hey rain! Can you stop for a minute so I could find trainers?" Then Sam mumbled to himself,"Wait a minute. Maybe I can put the rain to an advantage." Then he clicked a PokeBall, and out popped a Staryu. "Okay Aquatistar, absorb the rain! Try to heal yourself with the rain." And then Sam had an idea. "Staryu, use your ability, Illuminate! Maybe trainers will appear!"

Though the rain was very soothing to Aquatistar, who let out a pleased "yaaaah" at the droplets of rain upon its body, there didn't appear to be any dramatic recovery. Nevertheless, Aquatistar's mood had improved and it was quick to make good use of its innate ability. The light in its red core, already providing dim illumination in the rain, gradually began to rise in intensity until a warm, pulsing red light bathed Sam, Aquatistar, and the area between them in it.

Almost immediately, a pair of pidgeys left the safety of their tree and braved the weather to near Aquatistar, the two birds feeling inexplicably drawn to the light that the staryu was producing. They were just as quickly scared back to that tree, however, when a bout of loud whistling suddenly cropped up from a ways behind Sam. "Hey, I know you!" came a muffled cry, as if the man was suddenly eating something. Regardless, that voice was unmistakbly Tyler Etling's.

The poor guy's dislike of caps and his stubbornness in terms of what he wore on a daily basis left him a shivering, sniffling mess in the weather, but the onset of a cold wasn't enough to kill his spirit. He forged ahead through the rain towards the light himself, at first curious but now positively delighted to have stumbled across Sam. "Hey man, how's it going? I see you got a staryu. Nice," he remarked and popped another cherry or two in his mouth.

((Nice interpratation of Ty, as he's prefered to be called. Oh, and you should make his speech red.))

"Hi Ty! I was just trying to lure trainers here, I don't suppose you're one?" Sam knew it was his optimist personality kept Ty in the rain, however, Sam once heard his mom say Ty came to Kutho to do the same thing as Sam: Get a Pokemon.

Ty grinned hugely at the question. "Oh yeah!" He took the lone pokeball on his belt and flicked it on the ground to release the creature inside, a small bulbasaur. It squinted through the rain and instinctively shook itself off, though the moisture on its bulb (and the nice light Aquatisstar was givning off) was actually quite pleasant. "Since you've gone through the trouble of luring me out, then, I don't suppose you wanna battle?"

Two of the officers near the lab glanced over at the battle, but they weren't particularly keen on stopping it since they were a decent enough distance from the crime scene perimeter.

"I wager 50 Kuts!" Sam shouted. Then he told Aquatistar,"Use Tackle on Bulbasaur's bulb!" Sam thought this will do a lot of damage.

[Indigo]

"Whoa, hey!" Clearly caught off guard by the sudden command, Ty yelped and stumbled back to clear a space for battle. "Uh, come on, girl, Growl to weaken the attack?"

Aquatistar was fast, faster than Bulbasaur at least, and after grunting an affirmative it took to the air, whirling quickly. No sooner had it thrown itself into a spin did it hurtle towards Bulbasaur, who had been as surprised as her master and only managed a feeble croak before Aquatistar bore down on her and smashed into her bulb.

The shot sent her sprawling, and there was now a huge welt where it hit, but the battle was far from over; Bulbasaur carefully picked herself back up and shook herself off. She would not be caught off guard again.

Ty too seemed to have regained his bearings. "Growl again, then go in for a Tackle yourself!"

Terrain: The ground is made of a simple, somewhat damp dirt road that is surrounded on either side by grass. Up ahead is Professor Willow's Lab past several officers and squad cars.

"Quick, Aquatistar, Harden yourself! Then retaliate with a Tackle when Bulbasaur hits!" Sam face was a frenzy. He didn't want to see his precious Staryu get hurt again. He tok his cap off and held it tightly, trying to hide his fear.
