[Junahia]

((Aw... Half the reason Jun ate so much was in hopes that you'd spend hours on your calculator trying to figure out how much the meal would cost us. ))

As Winston left, Junahia caught a glimpse of Kris looking at him, then moving her eyes away. Curious, but smiling, Junahia pursued this. "What are you thinking?"

((It's called foresight, Jun. I saw this coming before you even got to the restaurant. XD))

"Not much," she said, waving a hand dismissively, though she made a point to lean in closer to Junahia and lower her voice. "...you know, just thinking that Team Rocket's in dire need of a few more cows, is all."

[Junahia]

((Uhuh, sure.))

Junahia smiled, he knew what Kris meant. She wanted him to get her into the team. He nodded and spoke to her. "Well, I don't know what I can do. I mean, I don't really out rank anyone, 'cause I'm pretty new. But my boss, I can speak to him about it and see what I can do, but I can't make any promises. Is that okay?"

Kris opened her mouth to reply, but Winston was coming back out with the bill. So, smiling gratefully, Kris just kissed Junahia on the cheek and straightened up so she could see the approaching waiter.

"Here we are," Winston said when he arrived, and he set down the bill before moving on to another table. It totaled 140 Kuts.

Junahia smiled back at Kris, and after she kissed him he felt... good. It was different for him. But the thought was snapped short as Winston placed the bill down on the table, "Thanks, Winston." He said politely. Jun read the bill while reaching into his pocket to grab his wallet. He took out 160K, a little tip for all the work that they had done to feed the trio... it was a lot of food. Jun placed the money down on the bill and put his wallet away, waiting for Winston to come back and take the bill before they left. He then lent back in his chair and smiled.

It wouldn't be long before Winston was back, and he cheerfully accepted the payment and bill before heading off again. "Have a nice day, you three!" he said as he went.

Plague belched after him and found herself suddenly recalled. Rolling her eyes yet smirking, Kris stuffed the Miltank's pokeball in her pocket.

Update: You have lost 160 Kuts.

Jun smiled at Winston, but soon turned to Kris. "Should we go then?" He asked as he stood up and pushed his chair under the table. Jun then turned and headed in the direction that Winston had pointed in earlier, waiting long enough for Kris to stand up and be by his side.

Kris was soon there, though she took a moment to stretch before following alongside Junahia. "But of course." The walk to the registration building would take Junahia and Kris past several more restaurants, gift shops, and other such establishments. Those that weren't purchasing things were relaxing in the shade, sitting on benches underneath strategically planted trees or lying sprawled out on the ground with friends near if no bench was available.

It wasn't long, though, before Junahia would come across a colossal structure built in the center of town. Even from a distance its tall white walls seemed to loom over all those who approached, and several gleaming, impeccably clean automatic doors led the way in to the equally huge lobby.

The tiled floors were freshly buffed and everything seemed to be polished, including counters, public computer terminals, and even payphone stands. Groupings of couches and benches were scattered all about the lobby and television monitors were mounted on the walls near them. Some of these televisions were commandeered by the people sitting the the chairs.

Everyone inside was, if not a trainer, at least a friend of one. One would only have to glance to find a full belt of pokeballs on nearly every man or woman inside. The front desk, a lengthy place manned by several workers, did not have too many in line though, and near the desk was a sign reading "Please register here!"

Junahia was overwhelmed by the building. It was surprising that such a large and magnificent structure would be built for this event, and that it was in a place like Deathgorge. He looked at Kris and grinned, as if to say, 'Holy crap this rocks!' Either way, he made his way to the registration desk and awaited one of the workers to call him forward and give instructions. At the back of his mind he knew there was not a great chance of him coming out on top of the competition, but it would be great fun. He also considered that he would need to visit the clinic soon to help his pokemon recover.

Kris shared Junahia's awe and grinned right back at him. She followed him as far as the front desk before moving away; she still had no interest in joining up, apparently.

Junahia would meet up with a young man in a suit who smiled from behind the desk. His (very polished) nametag read "Andrew." After picking through some paperwork, he pulled out two sheets of paper and neatly pressed them down on a clipboard with a pen chained to it. "Afternoon," Andrew said brightly. "If you're here to register, you'll need to fill these out."

Junahia noticed Kris move away, and he shook off any thoughts that popped into his head about it. So she didn't want to be in the competition, that's up to her. He looked down at the papers that Andrew passed him, and began filling the different bits of information in. Why the hell did they need to pages of notes for someone joining a competition, anyway?

When Jun had finished filling in the notes, he slid the papers back towards Andrew. "Here you go, mate. Anything else I need to do?"

The first was the actual application for the tournament and required Junahia put in his full name, age, gender, whether or not he had any medical conditions, emergency contact numbers in case any of those medical conditions appeared during the tournament, his signature, and the current date.

The second sheet contained several blocks of rules and required Junahia's signature and date underneath each to show he agreed to abide by the rules. The first spoke of gun control laws and how Junahia was not permitted under Kuthonian law to distribute, possess, or use any firearms during the tournament. Another section mentioned not carrying illegal drugs on him at any given time under risk of instant disqualification, and another still told Junahia not to harm his fellow trainers over the course of the competition.

Finally there was a waiver at that very bottom of the second page, stating that the Deathgorge Tournament Committee, D.T. Corp, Avila Granite, or anyone associated with the aforementioned parties could not be held accountable for severe injuries inflicted on pokemon during the tournament events.

"Mm-hmm," Andrew said as he checked over the application and waiver. "I need you to give me one pokemon in your team that's level ten or more. There's a level restriction of ten to twenty for the sake of tournament. Just hand me a pokeball, I can scan it for you, and we'll be about done here."

Junahia finished up filling in the application form, and listened to what the man instructed him to do. Then, Jun nodded and reached for his belt. His instant thought was Tsunami, but then he thought about Hurricane. Both were level ten or more, but he wasn't sure who'd be better off in the tournement. However, it didn't take long for him to reassure himself and passed Tsunami over. "Here you go, sir."

Over on Andrew's side of the desk was a computer connected to a small tray with six small grooves in its surface. He deposited the pokeball in a groove, took a moment to type on the computer's keyboard, and watched the tray quietly hum to life. During this time, Andrew rapped his fingers across the edge of the desk.

Finally, the tray's droning died down and Andrew's eyes flicked over something on the monitor. He smiled and handled Tsunami's pokeball back. "Great," he said to Junahia. "Now all you need is to pay the twenty-five kut registration fee and that's it."

Junahia rolled his eyes, 'I should have known there'd be a fee.' Still, twenty-five Kuts was very manageable, especially since he was able to pay almost two hundred for lunch. He worldlessly reached into his wallet and slid twenty-five Kuts across the counter to Andrew, and awaited further instruction.
