Lahar made no effort to hide a scoff at ever needing Pesanta's help with anything. He was just better and liked showing it off. Still looking rather bored with shooting at an immobile target, LAhar's tail glowed again and Kyle could feel the hairs on his arms stand on edge as the mareep built up another charge of electricity. Another flash, a sharp crack, and another bundle of branches exploded from the tree. Lahar's attacks had a peculiar power behind them, but it didn't look like he was making much progress actually changing the technique itself.

Muzencab on the other hand, was advancing rapidly. He'd done it once, know he knew how to do it again. He could feel the iron like defense of his exoskeleton, and after a long, concentrated pause, he tried again. This time, it was even more noticeable. Muzencab's skin became slightly darker, grayer in tint, as the sunlight glinted off of his increasingly strengthened shell. He seemed completely immobile, on the off hand though. But he had the idea for Iron Defense down now, the technique was set in his mind. The only thing left for him to do before he mastered it was a final test, pulling it off in the middle of an actual battle.

Well, it appeared as if Muzencab had it down, although Kyle's pokedex had not announced the attack learned. Kyle was sort of confused, then, as to whether he should stop or move on. He stood in place for probably an unusually long while, contemplating, and then figured he might as well go. He'd been here too long anyhow.

"Okay, er, Lahar. We'll continue working on that more later, probably during battle, so I want you to try and think of ways of making it stronger as well. And," he returned Lahar to his pokeball, picked up his bag and turned to address Muzencab. "You learned that wonderfully, good job. We just have to her, well, evolve you now, I think. And learn bug bite, well, finish learning bug bite. So we'll do that." And he returned Muzencab as well.

And then he stood there again, hesitant.

His pokemon were at full health. He didn't need to heal them, then. His next interest was the gym leader, well, after evolving Muzencab, but the two were linked. So he'd do that. Go there. Yes.

He took out his 'nav, checked the map. Good. He had a decent idea of the route, and he was already nearby, or nearby enough. Good. He stuffed it back in his bag. Took a deep breath, then started walking for Mura. If he came across any pokemon - wild or owned - he'd scan them with his pokedex, as per usual.

Pesanta has gained 3 EXP. Lahar has gained 1 EXP. Muzencab has gained 5 EXP.

According to the map, Kyle had actually been training on the outskirts of Plains End Path and it was easy enough for him to get back onto the dull, dusty path and continue on the trail to Mura.

The bland overcast ahead was beginning to clear, as glaring rays of sunlight burst down, illuminating the earth in rich earthy tones. As Kyle journeyed further from the bustle of Fleet Town, he would notice a few wild pokemon.

Off the path, Kyle could make out the backside of a cubone as it sat in solitude upon a rock. It was unmoving. "This cubone is male and level 9."

A pair of doduo dashed across the path in front of Kyle, the four heads pecking and nipping at eachother irrately as they did. "This doduo is female and level 6. This doduo is female and level 6."

Other than that, Plains End Path seemed devoid of life. A few spearow flitted high above, but well out of reach of even the pokedex's range. Suddenly, there was a sharp, inquisitve grunt from behind Kyle.
