The purple bottle had a small label on one side. Large text at the top described it as "International Standard Potion." Below that were rudimentary usage instructions, and the rest of the label was taken up by a mess of tiny text that included ingredient information and warnings.

Vogel was where Shriver had left her, waiting impatiently with hands crossed over her chest. She didn't wait for Shriver to walk up to her, instead hefting his bag up from where she'd set it on the floor next to her and meeting him halfway to the carousel.

"No shit," she said in response to his proclamation, then shoved his pack into his hands, indifferent to the fact that one of them was still holding onto his pokénav. "Who would sit down and design their top-of-the line communication device to look like a spud? Suits don't know jack about farming, anyway." So saying, she reached into her pocket and once more fished out her own device. "Let's get this over with." After a moment of holding her pokénav awkwardly in the palm of her hand, she asked, "Do you think you know how these things work?"

Shriver grabbed one of the straps with one hand and used the hand holding the pokénav to awkwardly stop the bag from falling or hitting him. He swung it onto one shoulder, then force his other arm under the strap, as he listened to her speak.

"The airport is giving these out for free," he said. "I doubt these pokénavs are the best they have to offer." He was also reasonably confident that one did not need to farm in order to know what a potato looked like, because people liked to eat potatoes, but he didn't comment on that.

There was a moment where both of them, ready to exchange numbers, realised they didn't really know how the pokénav worked. It would likely be amusing from an outsider's point of view.

"No. We could look it up," Shriver said, "but it would likely be faster to find out on our own." He experimentally rolled the trackball down to see if that turned the pokénav on; if not, he'd look for a power button. He'd also need to find a select and, preferably although not necessarily, a back button. Then he would look for and select the most obviously related options - phone, anywhere his own number might be displayed, anything address book-related, and the add option for that. "I've been told that an exeggutor and a sudowoodo are offering free items on this floor. If you're discreet and they haven't yet noticed you have a pokénav, it may be possible to get more." Vogel could probably find some (possibly illegal) use for a second pokénav, and even if she couldn't, there were free items involved. "Are you interested?"
