FOLLOW-UP:
"This is Anita Mills, reporting live in Mura City. Aiden Slade, the trainer who attacked Mura's Gym Leader and was on the run from law enforcement, has been apprehended today in Mura City after a violent standoff outside of Angela's Pizzeria."
A video runs, showing Aiden in handcuffs. He's being escorted by officers into the police station. To anyone who has met Aiden, the man in the video is not him: despite his plaid jacket and surprisingly thick eyebrows, he is shorter than Aiden, has a pronounced gut, and has a nasty scar running from his jawline to the bottom of his right eye. The man seems thrilled to be arrested, though, and offers wide grins to the cameramen and officers. "'Bout time y'all caught up with me!" he cackles.
"Aiden had attempted to rob the pizzeria, but Angela, the restaurant's owner, called the police. Officers that were patrolling in that area immediately arrived on the scene and stopped Aiden before he could escape with the restaurant's money. From there, the situation escalated into violence. Aiden was taken down after considerable effort on the police's part."
There is shaky footage, perhaps from a cameraphone, as Aiden fights the police's arcanines with a nidorino and sandslash.
Cut back to live footage of Aiden being escorted into the station. There is a crowd waiting for him, many people armed with signs reading "STOP SLADE" and "JUSTICE IS SERVED." However, the people at the scene are not unified in their opinions. A smaller group, mostly teens and young adults, have gathered about the station's entrance as well. These people are also hoisting up signs, but they have positive messages such as "FREE SLADE" and "SLADE = HERO." Each of Aiden's supporters is wearing a plaid article of clothing: jackets, pants, hats, and even kilts.
"Police say finding Aiden was difficult because many young men and women, seeking fame perhaps, bombarded the police station and the 911 center's phone lines with claims that they were all Aiden Slade. It was only after the real fugitive's PokeNAV was ID'd as Aiden's did the police know they were making the right arrest. Police believe the admiration for Aiden is merely a fad and will pass as impressionable youth find a new 'bad boy' to fixate on. However, there has been a growing number of reports about 'Aiden's True Posse,' a vicious gang that roams the streets of Mura. They are regularly seen combating other gangs for territory, and they continue to operate even with the arrest of their leader. Many of Mura's residents have expressed concern; however, the Mura Police force assures everyone that the situation is under control. If you suspect Aiden's Posse--or any gang--are active in your neighborhood area, please call the CrimeLine or 911.
Back to you and HQ, Ronnie."
