"Pocha..."- Ciel yawned, staring idly at the road ahead. The Pocchama knew that it was good for his health to be carried, but it was also rather boring that he couldn't walk around. Annoyed, the penguin started poking its trainer with its flippers. "Pocha!" - he complained, looking to its companion with an annoyed look. Phillip sighed. "Oh, all right. Let's see how you are now then. Possibly this little rest here made your injury slightly better. "

The trainer proceeded in bending down and placing his Pokémon partner on the ground, to check his condition. Getting up, he grabbed his PokéNAV and turned on the map feature to exactly find out their location and where they were actually headed. Of course, he should've done that before, but... whatever the reason was, he didn't. At the same time, Ciel didn't move, rather afraid if his leg would give in again. He simply scanned the area around him with his head, checking everything around him. Looking down, Phillip watched his trainee. "Come on then. Let's see how you are now." - he told the Water-Type. In response, the Pocchama gulped, and tried to get up and walk.

Ciel limped in a circle around his trainer before waddling to Phillip's side. He blinked at the thick clouds overhead and yawned, glancing around the rich terrain.

- A flock of Pidgey accompanied by a Pidgetto pecked at a slewn Magicarp. The Pidgetto seemed to escort them, for its head darted every which way protectively. However, one Pidgey strayed from the group.

- A Teddiursa was having an afternoon nap, stretching out on a pile of dead leaves.

- Two Poochyena stared at Ciel hungrily, but one walked away to pick on easier prey.

- A Totodile waddled down the path, releasing 'To! Totodile!'s every now and then.

((Er... Phillip was checking his PokeNAV. Shouldn't you give information about it as well? ^^;; ))

"Pocha..." - the penguin Pokémon hissed at the sight of the Poochyena eyeing him. Phillip was also cautious about this encounter - Ciel's leg hadn't exactly healed, and so, a battle now wouldn't be the best option. At any rate, the trainer grabbed his Pokedex to check the hound's level and stats... if a fight ensued, some more info wouldn't be bad. Still eyeing it, Phillip picked up his partner... because as the saying went, better to be safe than sorry. "Let's rest that leg of yours for a bit, and then, we'll see about fighting that mutt." - Phillip told Ciel, who nodded in return.

The PokeNAV flashed a bit, and it revealed their location as a small red dot along a winding brown path. They hadn't quite traveled a distance yet, more like a couple hundred yards. Anyways, they were a long ways from Mura City. Now the PokeDEX flashed, revealing the picture of the Poochyena.

'This Poochyena is Male and level 5.'

((Um... before I continue... a question. I roleplayed before that I wanted Phillip and Ciel to rest, so... shouldn't Ciel's Health be restored a bit?))

((I know, but it heals a portion of its health when it rests... I think. If so, you should post how much Health Ciel has healed and its new Health value. I'm jus saying this according to what I read.))

((Actually, I think the resting to heal thing doesn't work if you're, err, holding the pokemon. It really only works if you stop traveling all together and rest. As it is, I'd be a bit hesitant to heal Ciel. Maybe by 5 or 10 health is all.))

((OK. Thanks for the help Sol. Get it now ^__^))

"Let's rest a while." - Phillip said, as to cut the current silence (if you disregard th Pokedex beeps, that is). Level five... a level lower than Ciel, but seeing Ciel is still hurt, I'd better lay down for a while. - he thought, confirming his idea with the Pokedex 's robotic comment. The Pokémon around them interested the teenager too, in special case the Teddiursa. Upon evolution they're said to evolve into the form of Ursaring, a ravaging bear with a great physical power. That was the reason that the trainer used to convince himself, rather than the soft side of his heart told him - that Teddiursas are known for their great friendship and loyalty to their trainer. The Poochyena was the case that most concerned him, though, as it seemed to think of Ciel as its next meal. Although their rather childish behaviour, a Poochyena would be a great companion as well. The choices were many... but for that, Ciel would have to be in top shape, and due to the lack of potions that was impossible.

Disregarding the fact that he did not posess any sitting object, he crouched, and proceeded in sitting down on the ground, the Pocchama still held on his arms. "Let's stay low for a while." - he explained his Pokémon, and closed his eyes to meditate on various matters for a while. One thought was wether Emily was okay, traversing this route without any Pokémon companion to protect her. In the meanwhile, the penguin Pokémon was trying to imitate its tainer, closing its eyes for a while... though due to the curiosity of what his trainer was doing, couldn't suceed as it opened its eyes constantly to check on his trainer. AT last, he gave up, and dcided to rest on Phillip's arms for a while.

The flock of Pidgey flew off, and the Poochyena drew closer, although a soft howl called it away, and it fled into the bushes. Now the only pokemon left was the Teddiursa and the Totodile. Ciel and the Totodile exchanged friendly greetings, but soon Ciel began to nap. After he reopened his eyes, he looked refreshed and rather happy.

Due to rest, Ciel has gained 10 HP. He now has 70 HP.

Refreshed, Ciel yawned (or what it could be comprehended as one) and streteched his tiny flippers the most he could. He felt like a completely new person, revitalized, disregarding his current damage. Eyeing the Totodile once again, the penguin Pokémon waved at it friendly, before taking care of his surroundings once again. The birdies now seemed to be gone, and the menacing-looking hound as well. Now, only that Totodile and the resting Teddiursa remained on the area. Looking at his trainer, who remained with closed eyes, the penguin poked Phillip, not obtaining any response. In a moment, Phillip let out an unpredictable sound: a snore. In his meditation, the teenager seemed to have dozed off. The Pocchama grinned, and placed his fliper on his face as to evitate laughing. He wouldn't want to call attention upon him. In an attempt to wake him up, the Water-Type started pulling Phillip's jacket, calling for him. "Pocha! Pocha-pocha!"

Immediatly, the trainer opened his eyes and, alarmed looked around him. In hi search he only found a certain Pocchama snickering on his lap. He couldn't avoid grinning, and was truly close to laughing, though he retained his state. "Very funny, Ciel. So, are you any better?"- he asked. Only now Ciel seemed to remember that he posessed an injured leg, and not a very nice memory either. Not sure at all, it extended his arms to get loose from Phillip, and tried walking.

Ciel began scampering around eagerly, dashing into the bushes and uncovering something from beneath a pile of rocks. As Ciel began to bring it back, an angry Weedle extended a thin String Shot and lowered itself to face Ciel. Squealing, Ciel tried to run away, but the Weedle commenced to attack.

((Renna, I'm PMing you Ciel's personality so that you can add it in Phillip's profile, okay? happy.gif))

Great. Now Ciel's infuriated a Weedle. Problem is, a Weedle never comes on its own. There's probably a nest of Beedrills nearby. - Phillip thought as his partner left the bushes with a rather angered worm behind him. On the other hand, Ciel, having his trainer on sight, turned back to face the Weedle, a grin upon its face. "Okay, if that's what you want." - Phillip told him with a shrug - "Well then, let us start with a Growl from your part, Ciel. As soon as you frighten it off, strike up with a Pound." The Ciel nodded at his trainer as it started focusing itself for the battle ahead. Some training at last. "Oh, and watch out for its sting, it's poisonous." - he added. "Pochama!" - the penguin Pokémon replied, possibly an 'okay' of some sort. Not forgetting the basics, Phillip took almost no time at all in drawing his Pokedex and pointing it to the Weedle. Now let's see how tough you really are.

((Sorry, Dream, but I don't have the power to edit people's posts. I can only mod.))

Ciel released a fearsome Growl. Seeing how Weedle are rather timid creatures, it began to shy away, but after it saw the item still within Ciel's grasp, it dove. Ciel gasped and only had enough time to use a Pound, slamming his bulk against Weedle's abdomen. Weedle shrieked and the thin String Shot that held it up in the air broke, sending it to the ground. But the Weedle wasn't done. As Ciel released a trumpet of pride, the Weedle wrapped it in thick strings, winding across Ciel's feathers and keeping him in a tight bundle. Weedle attached the sticky bundle to a branch and began to plunge its stinger into Ciel's stomach, but Ciel squirmed and caught Weedle off guard. Weedle slammed its tail into Ciel's face, stunning him momentarily, and Weedle roughly inserted its stinger. Ciel squirmed and released tight and panic-filled squeaks as Weedle removed the stinger. It had struck and pierced the feathers and skin on Ciel's side, and Ciel was in pain although he wasn't poisoned.

Update: Weedle's ATTACK is -1. Ciel is wrapped up in String Shot, and has a small hole in his side where Weedle had used a Poison Sting.

Terrain: The ground contains grass, small pebbles, and soil. Beneath you is a wooden platform.

((Huh? That's rather odd. Indigo said that I should contact you... someone has some major explaining to do! xD By the way... could you do me a favor? Seeing you after all can't modify the profile, I'd like to ask of you to PM me with what I PMed you, seeing I forgot to save that elsewhere, and I really didn't want to make that up again ^__^;; Also, it's really minor, but you forgot to give the Pokedex details.))

Although Ciel had actually been hit, the penguin Pokémon did no such thng as backing away. Instead, his determination in winning this battle did nothing more but actually enlarge. "Don't get too cocky, continue with the same routine. First Growl at the Weedle, then Pound away. If you see it coming with that nasty sting again, Growl again." - Phillip ordered him. Seeing his Pokedex non-responsive, he decided to actually shake the thing a bit to see if it would now function properly. Professor Willow must've accidentally given me a Pokedex that is slightly non-responsive. No matter. I figure I can still win this battle even without the Pokedex's aid on levels. - he thought, his eyes having one sole target, constantly locked on - the battle. The intense tension seemed to be mutual between trainer and Pokémon.
