[Kusarigamaitachi]

Jordan’s frustrated growl didn’t do much to make him seem gentle or kind. So, perhaps, his negative thoughts would be right – and maybe it was a self-fulfilling prophecy. The pichu darted away at the snarl, further off into the grass, but it stopped a good distance away. It was, at least, within scanning distance, whatever that may have been. It expression was a terrified one, and with its stained mouth, perhaps also comical.

The dull voice came over the speakers once more as Jordan scanned the pichu. “This pichu is male and level eight.”

[Pikaman]

" Level eight? that's stronger then all my Pokemon! No!" Jordan's face brightened like a lightbulb was swiched on. " Come out Fiesta!" Jordan threw Fiesta's Pokeball into the air.

"Fiesta I can't get the Pichu to think I'm friendly. May you talk to him for me please?" This of all things should work! if it doesn't I'm going to punch myself in the gut!

As Jordan had sent out a pokémon to attack the pichu before, the pichu’s increasing nervousness was understandable. Fiesta didn’t look quite as intimidating as the poochyena, but this wasn’t interpreted as a friendly gesture at all. When Fiesta immediately lowered her head in preparation for battle, only to freeze on the spot at Jordan’s words, it didn’t help at all.

Unenthusiastically and quite unsure of herself, Fiesta started to speak to the pichu, only to cut herself off when the pichu’s cheeks abruptly started sparking.

" Owch! I hit harder than I ment to.", Jordan said as he hit himself in the gut. At least I'm not a liar., thought Jordan. "Fiesta if you have to, fight him. I tried to be nice, but it didn't work, so now we fight!" Jordan was determened to get that Pichu!

The pichu squealed at Jordan’s proclamation, although he wasn’t surprised – or at least, he shouldn’t have been. He had, after all, guessed that this would happen from the very beginning, and Jordan only proved him right. Fiesta, gleeful that she would get a chance to show up Shadow, ran forward—and stopped, realising that Jordan hadn’t actually given any orders. She wasn’t useless on her own, though, and knew something she could do that probably wouldn’t interfere with any of Jordan’s plans.

She could scare the pichu even more.

The pichu’s cheeks sparked as he decided to defend himself, although he was on the verge of fleeing, and the sparks continued to surround him. The electricity arced through the air and struck Fiesta hard, drawing a strangled yelp of pain. While it didn’t hurt Fiesta as much as it would hurt many other water-types, it was still quite painful.

Angry now, Fiesta glared at the pichu and let out a loud, fierce growl. The pichu squeaked and jumped back, eyes widening as his cheeks stopped sparking. Young as he was, the pichu had been unable to keep up his concentration to continue generating electricity, and he’d have to charge up an attack all over again.

Terrain: Emerald Pass (Route 2). The mostly-flat ground is carpeted in lush, green grass. Two trees grow close to each other by one side of the battlefield, although it’s unlikely that it would get in the way. A dirt path cuts through the field on another edge of the battle, where Jordan and his other pokémon are standing. It is cloudy.

I'm sure I'll have to use more Pokemon, being the Pichu is level eight, but I might be good because he's a baby Pokemon. I'm sure this will end badly though... " Fiesta use absorb! Next run around him and randomly charge into him so he can't expect and defend the attack!"

The pichu’s cheeks sparked again, and he shot the electricity at Fiesta. Fiesta’s squealed as she was struck with electricity, but her leaf glowed green. It was the pichu’s turn to whimper in pain. Green orbs of life energy detached themselves from under the pichu’s fur and toward Fiesta’s leaf. Some of Fiesta’s electrical burns healed, but not many.

Fiesta then started to try to run around the pichu, looking to attack. And had she not been so slow, perhaps she would have succeeded. The pichu’s cheeks sparked again, though, and he blasted Fiesta with more electricity, which coursed through her body painfully.

If Fiesta was faster and had better attacks this would be easier... " Fiesta use a growl to scare him, then charge him! Try to dodge as many electric sparks as possible, and try an absorb! Hey I'm getting a little better at this battling thing. Mabie I will actually be a good trainer! Jordan became a little less nervous and timid, and put more into comanding and helping, rather than worrying.

The pichu’s cheeks sparked even as Jordan finished giving his orders, and he managed to zap Fiesta even before she could growl. She squealed again as the electricity coursed through her body, and was left gasping when the electricity finally stopped. The electrical burns on her leaf and body only made her more terrifying, however, when she finally made her move. She glared at the pichu and snarled fiercely at him.

Terrified, the pichu burst into tears.

Fiesta was so taken aback by this that she forgot to even try to attack, and merely stared, feeling perhaps a little guilty.

Update: Wild pichu’s attack has decreased (-1).

Jordan sighed. " What am i to do? When I get close it goes away, and the only way to befriend it is to fight and capture it, but that makes him unhappy... Well it is busy crying so mabie I can catch it. It's vary unlikely but it's worth a shot..." Jordan tossed a Pokeball at the Pichu.

[Kusarigamaitachi]

The pokéball soared through the air and struck the pichu on the head, and the pichu was sucked into the pokéball. The area suddenly became much quieter as the ball shook and wobbled, hard, for one long minute. The pichu was definitely putting up a fight, but it probably helped that a single attack couldn’t have been that damaging. The pokéball finally stopped, tilted in the grass.

Then it burst open. The pokéball went flying a short distance away into the grass. The pichu stared at Jordan in disbelief, tears still collected at the corners of his eyes. Then he wailed even louder, turning and running away, though not as quickly as he did before. His run was more of a quick waddle, as he was using two legs instead of four. There would still be the chance to do something if Jordan acted quickly – but what?

Update: You have lost one pokéball.
