[Ringo]

Ringo leaned against a tree and wondered what she should do. No one looked like they had time everyone seemed to be bustling around Fixing the city. She sighed and then slid down to sit at the bottom of the tree. She felt a little hungry but besides that she was fine, but how long would that last if she didn’t manage to find some where to work? She quickly stood up and brushed the dirt from her red dress, she began to wonder around looking for a help wanted sign or something similar. After a little while she started humming to herself as she continue to wonder around the little town.

[Awaken]

As Ringo wandered around the town, she saw some of the shop owners setting up temporary stalls around the area. As their shops had been badly damaged, they no longer had the proper facilities to run their businesses, and thus they set out to use tables and umbrellas as their stalls, where they continued on with life. Some of them even offered free food and drinks for the people who were working on rebuilding Willow Town.

There were no "help wanted" signs on the stalls, although some of the shop owners looked busy with their jobs, especially those who were in the food industry. They had to make do with the less-advanced equipment, and there was a woman who had to continue baking her pastry by using a small oven. There was also a drinks stall set up for the people doing the repair work. The owner was also busy, having to make and pour the drinks herself without the help of a dispenser, and her Snorunt was busy keeping the mineral water bottles cold.

As for the people working on the repair job, there was a small booth set up where they had a pile of wheelbarrows and shovels left there, and there was a small sign saying "REPAIR JOB - COME HELP" on the booth. There was a man standing there and giving instruction to the other citizens if Willow Town, assigning different areas for them to work on in order to restore Willow Town back to its former self.

Ringo sighed and then took a deep breath what could she do. She didn’t see any thing that would likely offer her a penny. She sat down on a chair for a second and then noticed that everyone was so busy and felt a little ashamed everyone was working so hard to restore their town and here she was looking for money. She signed and took out her note book and scribbled “Is there anything I can do to help?” she then took a deep breath and then walked up to the man who seemed to be in charge of everything. She offered him the note book and waited to see if there was anything she could do.

‘I guess I’m camping out tonight.’ she thought but it didn’t seem as horrible as it did a when she had gotten off the plain it seemed as if she wasn’t the only one that was homeless. She perked up a little and waited for her instructions.

[Awaken]

He looked up at Ringo and smiled, asking, "You look new around here. I don't suppose you come from Willow Town?" He seemed to think for a moment, before replying, "Well, we've got the help pretty much covered, but you could head over down there to help shovel the debris, if you want." He pointed over to the area near the police station, where part of the wall had been blasted out.

Another lady walked up to Ringo. She had been observing Ringo as she made her way around the town, and after she had passed the note to the man, she asked her something. "Looking for a job?" her voice was soft, but there was also a crisp tone to it. "I'm in need of help. Just an assistant to accompany me in my travels. You can even have one of my Pokemon." She tapped her feet on the ground, cracking her knuckles as she did so. She seemed to be getting impatient.

"Well, I've got to be on my way really soon," she told Ringo. "If you can't decide, I'm gonna find someone else."

[Ringo]

Ringo turned to the lady and smiled she was more then happy to go with her. She nodded furiously and smiled. She took her note book and scribbled “Yes Please ma’am.” before handing it to her a great big grin on her face. She had been expecting that she would end up digging up dirt or something and next to that she didn’t think it could get much worse, but this would entail that she explain she was a mute and that might ruin everything, but it was better then what she had been expecting and with that she waited quietly for a response.

[Awaken]

"So you can't talk?" the lady asked with mirth in her voice. She seemed to think for a while, before smiling slightly. "That's good. You're not gonna be paid to ask questions."

She took out a Pokeball and handed it to Ringo. "It's not very strong, but it should suffice for your job." The lady was tall, and she wore a tight shirt and track pants. Her long dirty blond hair was unkempt and long, and she wore a pair of goggles above her eyes, for they were not in use. A large backpack was slung over her shoulders, and her shoes were in bad condition and caked in mud.

"Seems like I didn't introduce myself," she mused to herself as she returned Ringo's notepad without writing anything down. "You can call me Layle." She opened her backpack and passed Ringo a PokeDex and three pokeballs, along with another potion. "These are normally what the professor gives out, but since you're coming with me," she shrugged. "Let's go."

[Ringo]

Ringo smiled and accepted everything she gave her with a bow and a smile. ‘Thank you.’ she mouthed and put everything away she looked at the poke ball with the pokemon in it and wondered what it was. She looked at it and tilted her head slightly as if she was thinking. She then put the ball away as well and looked up at the women. She looked nothing like Ringo who’s long brown hair and shy green eyes made her look rather timid and weak witch wasn’t too far from the truth. She waited to see what they would do now.

The woman beckoned for Ringo to follow as she walked off towards Route 1 at a brisk pace. She appeared to be in a hurry, but she made her fast walk look perfectly natural so as not to arouse any suspicion. She even stopped to get a bottle of cold water from the lady with the Snorunt, nodding to the lady while flashing a smile at her.

She looked behind to make sure Ringo was keeping up and walked past the rest of Willow Town calmly, although she seemed to sneak a quick glance at the police station as she walked past, but the action was hardly noticeable. As she neared the exit to Route 1, she stopped and looked to Ringo, asking, "So, care to tell me your name?"

[Ringo]

Ringo Fallowed the lady with some difficulty she found herself slowly jogging after her half the time. She sighed this might be tougher then she had expected after all with a boss like her who knows. She got a kept fallowing her not noticing anything suspicious as they continued towards route one. Then she heard the question about her name. She hurriedly pulled a note book out of her pocket accidentally pulling out the Pokeball with it. As she scribbled “My name is Ringo ma’am” She handed the notebook to her only to notice the Pokeball had fallen out of her pocket and now a strange looking creature was looking at her.

Layle paused for a moment as she took the note from Ringo and eyed her without any emotion, observing her difficulty with keeping up and taking note of it without giving any clue of what she was thinking away. She merely looked at the note and murmured, "Ringo, eh?"

She then noticed that the Pokemon she had given Ringo had been released, and she smiled as the Pokemon took shape after the white light emitted from the pokeball upon release. It was a Girafarig. The giraffe Pokemon looked up at Ringo, both its head and its tail looking up at her serenely. The Girafarig made a weird mewing sound before it turned its head and rubbed its white horns on its rump.

"She knows quite a few moves, and is level seven, at the moment," Layle said with a hint of pride in her voice. "I believe she is capable of using Guard Swap, Power Swap, Astonish, Tackle, Growl, Confusion and Odor Sleuth. Not a bad range, if you ask me. Her name is Myrh, but I don't think she minds if you give her a new one." She petted Myrh, who looked up and licked her hand good-naturedly.

[Ringo]

Ringo nodded even though she only understood about half the things the women was saying to her. She was telling her about the moves but Ringo honestly had no idea what half of them did. She sighed but reached out wondering if Myrh would let Ringo pet her. She smiled at the strange creature, in a strange way Ringo found it sorta cute at least the half with out the black evil looking head. She smiled at Layle and Mouthed “Thank you.” before turning back to her new buddy wondering if she was going to accept her.

But then she turned back to layle and wondered what they where going to do now, she had said she had a job for her but nothing else she began to wondered what she was suppose to do maybe she had been to quick to accept now that she did she would have to know what they where going to do. “Miss Layle what exactly are we going to do?” wrote on her note book before handing it back to Layle.

Layle read through the note and accepted Ringo's thanks with a nod and a smile, but after she read the note she turned serious again. She looked straight and Ringo and lowered her voice, enunciating every word clearly and seriously. "I'll be heading to the Docklands. It's a bad place, but it's necessary. There's a gang there which I suspect may be Rockets. I need you to check it out and be the bait."

She was still staring straight at Ringo. Her eyes were looking into Ringo's, piercing but warm. Layle was now very serious, even more than before. "Please. It's a serious matter, and I guarantee you I will protect you." Her tone changed to let in some of her determination, and she nodded sharply as she mentioned that she would make sure to keep Ringo safe.

"Oh, and if it motivates you..." she said again, an amused expression on her face now. "It's a one time job. Do it well, and you can leave with three hundred kuts in your pocket." Layle stared walking again, passing the note back to Ringo and turning to face the direction of Route 1, Willow Walk, which was looming closer and closer. Her pace was no longer as fast as before, and she seemed to have calmed down considerably after talking to Ringo.

"I would do it myself," she said softly, but audible enough for Ringo to hear. "Except that the gang knows me, and so I can never find out if they are Rockets or not." She continued walking to the exit, glancing at the sign to make sure they were on the right track before stepping out of Willow Town and into Willow Walk.
