Jaxa walks into Deathgorge and looks around. "Wow this place looks nicer then on TV." Jaxa said looking around for anything that could be a clinic. Jahala and Jax looked around Kagura just floated above Jaxa's head.

It was not the easiest of treks. After making it through the winding trail in the darkness of Mossy Forest, past the rocky, desolate ground just beyond it, through (admittedly tame) mountain passes and over ravines, at last Jaxa reached a massive red canyon, aptly named the Great Gorge, and within it the city of Deathgorge itself. And, though the commercials did their best to convey the wonder and magnitude of the place, those music and images so carefully picked and scrutinized for advertising purposes paled in comparison to seeing the city for one's self.

Besides the massive red walls of rock flanking the area, the river was most noticeable thing; it was a giant, churning and flowing through the center of the city and essentially dividing it in two. A multitude of bridges allowed citizens and visitors alike to cross over to the other side of the city.

It was hot, as the change of terrain outside of the forest hinted towards, but Deathgorge was well-prepared for the temperature increase; there were plenty of trees and foliage well-accustomed to the climate planted to provide shade, and a great number of people were chatting beneath these plants to get relief from the heat.

Jaxa's destination, the Deathgorge Clinic, was a bit farther in, but it would be hard to miss. It was a large, almost proud-looking establishment with the words "Deathorge Clinic" built across its surface, and the automatic doors quietly slid apart to allow Jaxa and Jet entrance inside. The air conditioning would be a nice change compared to the outside.

The Clinic was well-kept, with buffed floors and a polished front desk where a nurse stood and answered the questions of people waiting in line. Trainers of all ages and a great variety of pokemon species were already getting service, and there were plenty more nurses walking about to deal with the large number of people around.

Even though Jaxa had been standing there for a minute he was still in awe at the place and its looks. It was much better looking then any TV commercial could make it sound. His bird was as in much awe as him. Looking at all the foliage that she was unaccustomed to and also the heat at which it was. Jahala nudged Jaxa's ear as if asking to return to her pokéball. Jaxa got the hint put his arm out to full length as Jahala jumped into the air and was hit with the recapture beam allowing her to go into ball for comfort. Kagura was ok with the temperature because she was a ghost but she didn't like the sun glaring down onto her.

Jet himself gave an appreciative whistle and recalled Khan upon entering the Clinic. He immediately got in line at the front desk to heal up his pokemon, though decided against it in the end when he saw a free nurse walking about and looking for someone who needed assistance. He waved her down. "Welcome to the Deathgorge Clinic," she said, smiling, "what can I help you with today?"

"I just need my Houndour healed up," he told her, handing her the pokeball.

She nodded as she took it. "We have a fee of five Kuts for healing purposes. Also, we do have a doctor here who specializes in Houndours. Is there anything in particular you'd like to speak to him about?"

Jet fished out the amount in his pocket. "Five Kuts is cool," he said, handing her the crumpled light blue bill. "And yeah. I got a few questions..."

Jaxa quickly caught up to Jet after staying at the door for a second and looked at the nurse he was talking to. :Would you be able to heal my pokemon as well. By chance do you have a Magby specialist here?" Jaxa asked looking at the girl from next to her. Jax looking at her with a look of wanting to play with her. The Shuppet just floated over Jaxa's shoulder.

"It's cool, he's with me," Jet said.

"Ah, all right. That'll be five Kuts for healing your pokemon too," said the nurse. She held out her hand expectantly. "You'll have to put them all in their pokeballs for me. Also, we do have a Magby specialist available. Is there anything in particular you'd like to speak with her about?"

Jaxa let his ghost float out in front of him and Jax fluttered to the same area as Jaxa took their pokéballs. He looked at her took out five kuts and all of his pokéballs."Ya I do. You see he is kind of temperamental because he was abused before I found him." Jaxa said holding out the pokéballs for her to accept while holding Nero's in his other hand.

She took the money and all the pokeballs. "...how temperamental?" she asked. "We do have the safety of our doctors to consider here."

"Hes uhh tried to kill me a few times.?" Jaxa said rubbing the back of his head. Slightly hoping that they would still allow him to talk. "I think that he will listen to me if I make some sort of promise to him." Jaxa said looking at her again.

The nurse frowned and glanced at Jaxa's bandages. "If it's that bad, I doubt it," she said. "But our doctor is able to communicate with Magbys since she specializes in them. Perhaps we'll find something out... Come on, follow me."

She began to leave the main lobby and headed for a long hallway.

Jaxa followed her still holding Nero's ball in his hand. Hoping that Nero wouldn't try to kill him right when he got out. "We might want to be careful the last time I let him out he used a smog immediately. So we may want to cover our mouths up or something." Jaxa said hoping that they wouldn't turn him down now.

"We'll be prepared." The nurse handed off all of the other pokeballs to a passing nurse, who took them into a another door with a healing machine inside of it. Meanwhile, the nurse who had been speaking to Jaxa and Jet continued on to a room at the end of the hall. The door was already half open, and another woman inside peeked out and waved the group in.

This room was cut in half and separated by a large window. There were also vents everywhere. "Your Magby will be on the other side of that window. That material there can definitely withstand a Magby's fire and the vents will get rid of Smog," the nurse explained.

The doctor of the room was a short, forty-something woman with even shorter black hair. Her browned skin was deeply tanned and she had a faint burn mark on her right cheek. There was another burn mark on the right sleeve of her white coat, and still more on her thick brown gloves that were most likely insulated for heat. Standing beside her was a large Magmar, whose tail flame caused the air around it to shimmer. The pokemon was probably the reason why the room was a bit warm.

"I'll leave you to it. Your pokemon will be at the front desk when they're done healing, but remember to tell the nurse at the front desk your number. It's fifty-eight, by the way," the nurse said to Jaxa. She then looked to Jet. "Let's go see if our Houndour specialist is in, okay?"

"Yeah, sure." So she and Jet left.

"Hey, I'm Dr. Morgan, and this here is Spitfire," she said, gesturing to her Magmar. It nodded its head politely. "What can we help you with today?"

"Well my Magby has attempted to kill me a few times because he was abused. Though he wasn't abused by me, he was abused by team rocket. I found him after he ran away from them." Jaxa said holding his hand out with Nero's pokéball. "I think we should put him on the other side of that wall I mean he is violent."

"Mm-hmm," Dr. Morgan said and took the pokeball. "Well, let's see if we can get to the root of all this violence. What is the name of this Magby of yours?"

She walked over to a wall near the large window. Attached to this wall was a small tray with six slots for pokeballs and a tiny screen framed with different dials and buttons. She put Nero's pokeball inside of the tray slot and the screen instantly read "Magby (M), Lv. 8." A few more presses of buttons and the tray slid into the wall.

On the other side of the window, red energy arced from the wall to the floor and materialized into the familiar form of a Magby. Nero had been released.

He blew Smog into the air the second he was out of his pokeball, but Dr. Morgan merely pressed another button and unseen machinery room began to hum. The vents opened, taking all the Smog with it, and a startled and infuriated Nero was left to hiss loudly and glare out at Jaxa.

"His name is Nero. He got a little mad at me the other day because of something I had done to him without knowing." Jaxa said as he couldn't help but stifle a laugh as Nero began to hiss at him. "I guess he is a bit sour after getting his smog released from the air around him, which is pretty good because he was going to use an ember next to blow up the smog." Jaxa said rubbing the back of his head.
