The day had started just like every other. Jetta would wake before the sun rose and start the water for her tea. Then she would go tend to the garden and return to ready water. As the day continued on she would continue about her routine chores. Then she would take a break to swim in the river. And that's what she did today, humming a cheerful tomb and leaping after fish and frogs like a child. What she did not know was that someone would come by her home. That was, perhaps, the only thing she was unprepared for. So she just continued to pounce through the water and giggle. After all, she had never learned anything about growing up. How was she to know she was childish.

Ranulf came trotting through the woods in wolf form because it's easier to find prey when you have a keener sense of smell and hearing. He happened upon the girl but didn't intend to do anything. He walked to the banks of the river and sat there probably going to be noticed soon.

"Hm...?" Her eyes rolled to him, having seen him out of the corner of her eye. She blinked. How odd for a wolf to come into the open so easily... and alone. She stared at him, unphased then smiled. Holding her towel around herself, she waded through the water, her hand out. She touched his muzzle. "Hi, there," she said quietly. "How come you're all alone?" |

"Because I'm not really a wolf." Is what he wanted to say but he was enjoying the attention so he didn't and stayed in wolf form and lifted his head relaxing and staring up at her.

She scratched behind his ears. "You're friendly, aren't you?" she giggled. She kneeled in front of him. "Don't you have any friends with you?" She looked about. Nothing. She shrugged.

"I guess it's easier to show you then." His body glowed orange for a few seconds and he began to stand on his hind legs which had become human and his forelegs because arms. He was human now. "Better for you to understand now?"

She jumped up, horrified and eyes wide. "What...?" She took a step back. There was a person.... She hadn't seen one in four years and last time they tried to take her away. She gasped and turned away, fleeing for her home, hand clutched to her towel.

She skid to a stop and fell to her knees, covering her head. "No!" Tears streaked her face. "I don't want to go! You can't make me! I won't go!" she shouted. The fear dug deeper.

"Might as well take her inside." He transformed back and brought her inside being careful not to remove her towel. He placed her on a bed once inside her house and went to find some blankets. He did eventually and put them over her. "Wonder whats up with her..."
