It was a typical sunny day in the Leaf Village, the birds singing sweetly in the trees, the wind dancing through the leaves as it carried the bird's song through the village. This was good training weather, and Yasu knew it, but instead today she had to reclaim the honor of her gym from some assholes trying to make money off of their fights. The perpetrators had been dealt with once before, kicked out of the gym and banned from any such facility anywhere near the village, but it seems they've started running their own fighting ring somewhere in the forest, and had been recruiting fighters from Yasu's gym to fill their roster. Normally, this wouldn't be a concern for Yasu, as the instant those fighters signed up for something like this, they were no longer part of her gym, but they've been turning up dead... beaten to death.
These fights were to the death.
Yasu clenched a fist just thinking about it, sparks emitting from her hand as her temper boiled. Kyo, who Kakashi had insisted partner up with Yasu, chuckled lightly at Yasu's temperament, which made Yasu shoot her a dirty look. Neither of these women particularly cared for each other, Yasu constantly training to be able to beat Kyo with just her nintaijutsu, and Kyo relying on natural ability with her indirect jutsu to beat Yasu every time.
"I don't see how anything about this situation is amusing, Kyo" Yasu said, spitting the last word as though it put a bad taste in her mouth, which it did.
"I'm not laughing at the mission, just you and your little fireworks display there. Honestly, who are you trying to impress? Me? Already seen and beaten it" She said, obviously being rather catty today. Yasu resisted the urge to beat her within an inch of her life, and continued on.
"So, what's the plan? You know more about these things than I do" Kyo asked after a few minutes of silent walking. Yasu pondered for a moment, and replied, not bothering to look at Kyo, "I'm going to enter one of these fights and get the attention of the people running it. You'll keep an eye out for them, and when they show themselves, we take them down. Simple as that". Kyo nodded, figuring it was a good enough plan for the moment. They both knew if Kyo had anything to add at any point, she'd be quite vocal about it, and Yasu was glad that for now she didn't.

They walked for a few hours until they came across an outpost midway between the leaf village and the land of Hot Water, which was a sort of collaboration between the land of Water and the Leaf, the original idea being to help the Mist be more active in the shinobi world by allowing them a village on the mainland. Recently, many hostilities have occurred between the Mist and the Cloud, and the Leaf had done their best to remain neutral, but there was a bad history between the leaf and lightning as well.
Yasu looked up and saw the bar the mission scroll had said was used as a sort of recruitment office for the death fights. The Saucy Sage... Yasu couldn't help but cradle her face in her palms at the sight of the name of the bar, Kyo laughing at it as well. Yasu and Kyo ventured inside, and were bombarded by the sickly aroma's of tobacco smoke and various kinds of alcohol, and a few odors neither cared to identify. Yasu was decked out in her training clothes, and had been training as she walked for the past hour, so she her muscles were a bit more evident than normal, and her body was glistening with sweat.
Kyo scanned the bar and saw that a few men in the back took notice of the two women, and Kyo smirked.
"I think I found the recruiters... let's go say hi" He whispered, but Yasu didn't reply, just making her way to them and sat down. Kyo was to play the part of Yasu's manager while Yasu just looked tough. So far, the plan was working, as the men turned out to be the recruiters, and wanted Yasu to partake in tonight's bouts. Kyo signed her up, after negotiating a hefty sign up bonus from the two men. Genjutsu came in handy sometimes.

When night came, Kyo and Yasu were lead to a spot in the woods near the bar, where artificial lights had been set up around a giant pit lined with stone. Crowds of people were lined up around the barriers set up to keep people from falling in, as the fall would kill you unless you were trained to withstand shit like that. Kyo took her position with the other big wig managers, many giving her condescending looks since she was both new here and a girl. Kyo merely smirked, pointing towards the ring as Yasu entered, she being up in the first bout, Yasu showing up on the video screens set up for the people who couldn't see in the ring.
Yasu popped the joints in her neck after she landed, and walked to a corner and leaned against the stone, waiting for her opponent to enter the ring. He did so with much gusto, leaping in and landing with a thud, the ground cracking beneath him. The man was easily half as tall as Yasu, and several times wider, having muscles on his muscles. He roared to incite the crowds, which worked as it always did, but Yasu didn't move a muscle except to smirk. The behemoth saw his opponent and looked up at his manager, checking to make sure the roster was correct, and after hearing that it was, he shrugged and got in a sumo style stance as he waited for the starting bell. Yasu did the same, walking to stand a few yards away from the man, widened her stance and brought her taped up fists to protect her face in a typical boxing stance. The man laughed, believing himself impervious to physical damage from some scrawny woman, but Yasu kept her cool, staring into the man's eyes to find that shred of weakness he had, dragging it to the surface of his mind.
It wasn't a genjutsu she used, simply using her confidence to make the man rethink his odds of victory, making his own confidence waver, if even for just a moment. The first one to look away from victory was the one who would never see it... that's what the old man always told her, and it was something she took to heart.
"Ladies and Gentleman! Are you ready for a fight!" An announcer shouted, the crowds cheering as they demanded blood. Mostly for Yasu's blood.
"We have a bit of an interesting first match tonight! In the yellow pants, we have Yasu of the Lightning Jab!". Only Kyo cheered, which got a few laughs from the crowds as they waited for the obvious favorite to be announced. Kyo had taken the opportunity before the match to bet all of the sign up bonus on Yasu winning, and based on the crowd reactions, the both of them would soon be very fucking rich.
"And in the black shorts, weighing at a whopping 400 pounds of pure muscle, the man who ripped off his last opponents head and beat him with it! Give it up for Goru of the Stone!". The crowds went wild, and Yasu knew why after hearing about the head ripping off bit... these crowds were expecting brutality, and to an extent, she would give it to them.
"Combatants, are you ready?!"
Both fighters nodded, Yasu smirking wider as the call for the fight to begin drew closer, her muscles relaxing as she knew this dumb bastard would want to make the first move, and she'd give it to him, but he'd hit nothing but air.
"Fight!"
Goru charged forward like a bull, Yasu never breaking her stance or her smirk as he did so. Yasu was playing mind games with this dumbass, and she doubted he had the IQ to handle it. He went to grab her by the shoulders, which Yasu easily ducked, stepping forward in the same motion. She widened her stance slightly, brought a fist down and swung her hip, bringing the fist back up with tremendous force, clocking Goru right in the jaw. The man stumbled backwards, but didn't go down, though without using CES, she didn't have the strength to knock him on his ass, nor did she want to just yet. She wanted to be underestimated for the moment. Goru recovered and looked quite pissed, but then grinned.
"Going to take more than that to take me down, bitch" he spat, and Yasu simply smiled.
"You say that like it took effort to get past your guard" She said, slamming her fists together as she began hopping from one foot to the other, bouncing as she motioned for Goru to charge again.

Goru snorted at Yasu's little display, charging again, this time going for a punch, swinging his fist at her like he were a wild animal. Yasu almost laughed... this man got by on his size alone and had absolutely no form to his moves. Setsuju had no form, but this was intentional and the body had been trained to utilize this to its utmost potential, but this ape only lifted weights and thought it made him a fighter. She leaned back to avoid the massive fist, rearing a fist back as she did so, giving a powerful jab to the man's arm as she straightened back up, the punch aimed for where he would block normally, though the muscle there wasn't in use, and so was softened. It would make his guard weaker when she decided to go on the offensive.
Rather than swing the other fist, he went with a backhand of the arm he just punched with, which Yasu had to block since she was too close to do anything else. The arm sent her sliding back, but her feet never left the ground, though her heels had pushed up quite a bit of dirt. The man certainly was strong... maybe she ought to use a bit of CES to even things up. The contract had stated that jutsu was legal, as this was no holds barred, but the recruiters assured them few ninja took part in these fights. Most operated in villages or were career criminals, and neither would be interested in a fight like this, but not all who knew jutsu were shinobi. These people usually only knew a handful, and weren't nearly as potent as if they had been properly trained.
"How do you like that? See what you're up against now? You're as good as dead!" Goru spat, but this time Yasu said nothing, instead she focused her chakra as she smiled, waving one hand to signal him to charge again, resuming her bouncing. The man growled as he did exactly as commanded, and Yasu couldn't resist a chuckle, having been converting her chakra into lighting, preparing for a Thunder Burst Palm. The man went for another grab, and Yasu stepped into it, delivering a powerful straight punch to the man's abs, all of the lightning being sent into his body as thunder signaled the impact, the man getting launched back to the other end of the ring, hitting the far wall. Yasu blew the smoke off of her fist and raised her arms up to incite the crowds, which it did.
Goru shook his head as he looked up at Yasu, seeing the crowd was starting to get on her side, which made him furious enough to forget what charging had just done to him. She smirked, unable to believe her luck with how stupid Goru was. This time, she dashed forward and body flickered right as he would have struck her, his fist only hitting smoke, with Yasu now behind him, making hand seals.
"Important Body Parts Disturbance!" She said, and jabbed him quickly at his spine, not enough to do any physical damage, but enough to send a jolt to fuck up his nervous system. When he tried to turn around, he fell to the ground in a spasm, unable to tell what body part he was moving, screaming in frustration.
"Finish him!" The announcer shouted. Yasu looked over at Goru and sighed, picking him up with CES and leapt out of the arena, tossing him lightly to the ground, though his weight had him land with a thud anyway.
"I refuse" She said, and the crowds went silent. The announcer panicked and looked up at a few men in suits who were now approaching the ring, which were the men they were probably after.
"Yasu, you don't get to refuse... you signed a contract" One of the men said, at which point Kyo walked over and snapped her fingers, with Yasu's name falling off of the page.
"I don't see a signature anywhere on the paper... though I doubt you'd take this to court anyway, being that it is highly illegal" She said, and made hand seals, several ink clones pouring out of the ink flask she had at her side, surrounding the men. Normally, they should have shit their pants and surrendered, but these guys just snapped their fingers, and the remaining fighters on the roster charged at once. The clones knocked the suits out, and Kyo made hand seals and made body wraps of paper for them so they couldn't wiggle away while they fought for their lives, and Yasu went to go meet the challenge head on, activating Lightning Release Armor as she ran, her body now covered in electricity as though it were her aura, and given her performance in the ring, it gave some of the fighters pause. They were the first to be taken down.

After swiftly dispatching of the cowards, about seven more fighters remained, and if Goru was the strongest there, she was in for an easy victory. She dashed forward and gave the first guy a jab to the jaw, knocking him off to the side where Kyo had a freeze tag waiting for him. The next guy got the short stick, and got uppercutted over Yasu's head, Kyo having to leap up to catch him to keep him from breaking his neck in the fall, though still gave the man a freeze tag just in case.
It was at this point that the fighters decided taking on Yasu was suicide, and moved to surround Kyo, one man getting her in a chokehold, though Kyo didn't seem that worried. The man yelled for Yasu to surrender or else her friend would die, but Yasu ignored him, giving the closest guy to her a straight punch that sent him flying back a few feet. When the man went to make good on his word, he found he couldn't move, due to Kyo using shadow imitation on him. She brought her arms up to mimic his choke hold and had him let go, and then turned, having him do the same, where she put a freeze tag on the back of his neck, and undid her shadow jutsu, smirking as she pushed on him lightly and toppled him over. This left only three men to fight the two leaf shinobi, and in a rare moment of wisdom, they surrendered, making the mission an overall success as Yasu picked up two of the men in suits and slung them over her arms, starting to head off back to the village to get their reward.
