LONDON (Reuters) - Two clinical finishes from Bulgaria striker Dimitar Berbatov took twice winners Tottenham Hotspur through to the UEFA Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday.

Berbatov's double took his UEFA Cup tally to seven for the season as Spurs overcame a spirited Braga side 3-2 at White Hart Lane for an 6-4 aggregate second knockout round success

Tottenham can look forward to their first European quarter-final since 1992 when they bowed out in the last eight to Feyenoord in the Cup Winners' Cup.

It was very exciting. Well done to Berbatov. He really owned that match.

Rose, if West Ham is relegated, you will have to find another premiership team to support!!!!!!!!!!

Spurs enjoyed a great weekend.

Fingers crossed that they remain lucky for their FA replay against Chelsea.

Thanks Rose.

Spurss were unlucky, but they also need to work hard on their 'concentration' in the game. They do not remain focused when they have the upper-hand.

Not condoning the action in any way shape or form at all but Frank Lampard nearly got a punch last night - BUT there are many football supporters that would like to give him a punch - mainly West Ham supporters ..

If only we could harness the passion football fans feel and turn it into a good thing ...

Violence at a football match, or afterwards, against anyone is no acceptable.

As far as I am concerned, football fans do not do that, hooligans do. And hooligans are just that and nothing else & certainly not football fans.

having said that, last night was very peaceful with only 9 arrests, mainly for drunkeness.

Tottenham said in a statement they had banned Lampard's attacker from White Hart Lane for life.

A life ban is what any club now gives for going on the pitch ..

Arsenal started celebrating far too soon. Well done to Jenas for scoring Spurs' second goal & equalizing.

The spell has been broken.

Spurs won today's game against Boro, 3 - 2. I hope it's featured on tonight's Match of the day. smile.gif

And I've won myself a meal out, as I had a bet on with a very good friend, who is a Boro supporter, that Spurs would win.

Yippeeeeeeeeeee. biggrin.gif

Spurs 4, Derby 0.

At last a decent result, so well done to Spurs for finally waking up & realising that the season has started.

But, Spurs had better watch out. Derby were playing very badly so the Spurs players really shouldn't get too smug & self-satisfied about this one.
