hello all Eddy, I know what you mean about having too good a Christmas. I hope you (and Rose) have a nice restful day today. I'm quite pleased with myself. After my pre Christmas disgraceful binge, I still have some mince pies and chocolates left over for New Year

Evening all.
Glad to read everybody had a good Christmas by the look of it. My parents were most impressed by my cheescake and we gave them a slice each to take home. The turkey cooked perfectly the oven timer started and finished as planned, it all went remarkably well. Yesterday we made another roast for ourselves with the left over turkey
We've just had a quiet day today deciding what to grow in the vegetable bed next year and looking for bargains on Amazon.

Hello All
Went to check out the sales today - bought a top! I hope it fits - there were long queues to get into the changing room and it was so HOT in the shops, so I chanced it and bought my size.

We went to the garden centre today to spend our vouchers, we bought loads of seeds in readiness for the coming grow your own season. managed to get some blight resistant potatoes as well as blight resistant tomato seeds.
After feeling slightly 'turkeyed out' we had a nice veggie pasta bake for tea which was lovely.

Good morning.
My cousin also made a vegetable bake for yesterday's lunch. Cooked perfectly with a super delicious, crunchy, cheesey topping. It was very welcome after all the meat of recent days.
She also had home made mince pies. They were rather large but very tastey and she was kind enough to give me a few to bring home. I can't remember the last time I had home made mince pies.
Bought myself a new washine machine from a sale at a local independent high street shop. It's a 'Bosch 1400', same price as those appearing on online sales and they promised to deliver and install it this afternoon.

hello Fellow Naughty Tomatoes
I have a Bosch washing machine Eddy - it washes very well. I actuallly bought a washer dryer, but I wasn't impressed with the dryer bit and use a tumble dryer instead. I hope yours gets delivered today as promised - I hate waiting in for things to arrive! .

Good evening.
YES, my new washing machine has arrived and I have already used it twice. It's excellent. I really am pleased with the service from the high street shop.

YAAAAY Eddy!
I apologise for a slight senior moment I had earlier. My washing machine is a Miele and not a Bosch - I think I had difficulty deciding which one to get and in the end got a Miele. It was delivered by a very grumpy man, who moaned all the time.

Good morning.
Lovely to see some sunshine this morning. About time to, though it's a little colder than it was.
My new washing machine continues to get a good work out. I must be on my 6th wash now and it only arrived last night. I'm beginning to look for excuses to wash things just so that I can hear it's gentle murmerings in the background. LOL.

I don't know how it is anywhere else but it's been really windy in Cambridgeshire for a few days, quite strange to have it so constantly windy.
Anyway on a lighter note, our raised vegetable bed has been so successful we've decided there is room for another one. I ordered it today before the beloved could change his mind, lol!
Hope everyone has had a good weekend, only 2 days off then back to work, can't say I'm bowled over with enthusiasm about that.

Yes, strong consistent winds in north London, particularly yesterday. Also colder but it's been dry.
It's been a lovely long holiday this year. I really needed a long break and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm determined to pack as much into the last 2 days as is possible ... lots of housework.

That's very clever Eddy! Housework??!!! My house is a total mess, but I can't do much with the incapacitated shoulder as yet. That's my story and I'm sticking to it... I have managed to hang a few things up though, which is Progress
Happy New Year's Eve to all - is anyone doing anything exciting?

A couple of my nieces are paying me a short visit this afternoon. They have a Christmas present for me.
Then, early evening, a couple of friends are coming for an early New Year's Eve drink. They will be gone long before midnight. I then may stay home or walk round to my brother's home to see in the New Year.
One thing's for sure, I'm not sharing any of my remaining mince pies with that lot. They will have to make do with chocolate biscuits. LOL.
