Title: New Tricks series 7

grimfandango - September 4, 2010 08:47 PM (GMT)
At last! what appears to be a long overdue series of New Tricks is starting on Friday 10th at 9pm.
The regular cast are all listed so that is good, about time there was something decent to watch.

All the cast were at Amanda Redman's wedding yesterday.

:)

Good first episode, I love Brian and Esther

Agree about Brian and Esther but for me a lightweight opener.

Enjoyed that one a bit more tonight. A 'dry' subject but it kept my interest.

Yes I thought it was better than last week, I thought Jack signing up to be a mature student (with a bit of help from Sandra!) was rather sweet.
I really like the interaction between the characters and think it adds something that most other dramas don't have. Alun Armstrong plays the part of a person with OCD brilliantly.

For me, the best so far this series. Initially a really dark and serious subject becomes quite absurd in places but they all carry it off with a such panache.

Another excellent episode. Not big on laughs but it kept you wondering all the way through.

It seems to be getting better with every episode, last night's was very good. I wonder how long Gerry will stay off the fags/cigars :D

Yes I watch this show and enjoy it greatly..

After what I thought was a real dip in form last week tonight it picked up though still not top notch. Whilst the 'ponzi scheme' described may have resembled that of Charles Ponzi it was quite different to what Bernie Madoff did. I accept his trickery was labelled a 'ponzi scheme' but it was actually far more "clever" if that is the right phrase. I see Gerry is back on the cigs. :)

Yes last weeks episode was very disappointing but I did think this weeks was better. I liked the bit where Brian had re-arranged the stall he was looking after, again a reference to his OCD.
I think poor Gerry deserved a fag after witnessing that :(

Think there might only be 2 or 3 episodes left in this series.

I note that Simon MaCcorkindale who appeared in the graffiti episode died yesterday, guess it must have been one of the last jobs.

Back to form with a bang. Jack's lecture and Brian buying condoms were just brilliant. :D

Yes - underrated this show I think .. Very funny and clever ..

Solid ending to the series. Hope there is more to come.

Finally got round to watching the final episode this weekend, I thought it was an excellent end to the series which has by and large been very enjoyable. :)
