Description: Glamourous Indie Rock And Roll

Joalaneil - January 2, 2010 08:15 PM (GMT)
It has been a long time since I visited this forum, I just wanted to know who here loves the Killers, I fell for them while watching their video for Human, then decided to buy their four CD's , Hot Fuss, Sams Town, Sawdust and Day & Age, then fell in love with their music and them, I have been hooked ever since .
I have been to two live concerts one at the Manchester Evening News Arena, the other at the Royal Albert Hall in July last year, they recorded this live on DVD , I love their unique style and sound they are arguably the most popular band at the moment, Mr Brightside has been voted the second best single of all time, and they have had many more awards and accolades besides.
I love them, it would be interesting to know if anyone here enthuses as much about them as I do.

I won't be away so long next time, I remember some of you from the now, defunct UKMHOF forum, those were the days.

It is great to be back, so what do you all think of the Killers then, has anyone else here been to see them and, like me, been very impressed :)

Sorry have not heard of them - not surprising at my past pop age age :D

I haven't heard of them.

I am going to have a look at You Tube and see what I can find.

Oh, well they sing songs such as, Human, Mr Brightside, A Dustland Fairytail ,The World We Live In, I am sure that if you look them up on You Tube you might just like them, their songs are definitely unique to todays sound, they are, as a track from Hot Fuss implies, Glamorous Indie Rock And Roll, punk sync , alternative adult orientated rock, and have become one of the most sought after bands on the planet.
They have almost completed one of the most gruelling world tours ever, spanning eight years....ish, all over the world, in stadiums and arenas, and have headlined most summer festivals including..T In The Park, Hard Rock Calling, Hyde Park, V Festival and Oxygene, have appeared on numerous television shows, Later with Jools Holland, Abbey Road, an extended spot on Jonathan Ross.
They come from Las Vegas, and are Brandon Flowers, lead vocals/keyboards, Dave Kuening, electric guitar, Mark Stoemer, Bass guitar, and last, but not least, Ronnie Vannucci jnr, drums, Brandon is Mormon, he was born in Vegas, but raised in Utah, and now lives back in Vegas, is married ( I envy his wife...lol ) with two sons, Ammon 2, and Gunner who is over 5 months old, Ronnie is married, and Dave and Mark are spoken for, but not married.

I love them to bits, I love their unique sound, the last time I was this mad about a band was Pink Floyd, and I am still mad about them.

Eddy I hope you got to listen to them on YouTube, they have their own YouTube channel, where not only will you find all of their music, but interviews also.

Let me know what you think of them, and anyone else here.

Kingarthur, who I first knew as Ledzepyes, I would like to know what you think too.

:D
