So....it's not good, and critique + help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
Listen, Little Girl
Little girl, it is time for bed But it is also time for things to be said. Lie under the covers, which out your head peeks The years will go by and you will need to choose a path to seek.
Little girl, you are smart and bright, But to this world, those traits are a plight. Stay happy while you can my dear, For it is the highschool years that I fear.
Little girl, you are beautiful inside But to your personality, people will pay no mind. Hold tight to your disposition while you can, Know that your kindness will bring you fans.
Little girl, your innocence is sweet But the others will not consider it so neat. Close your mind to this, but open your heart And let shine what thou truly art.
Little girl, you are a freak But that of nature, for you are meek. You will inherit the earth, no doubt Yet with a whisper, not a shout.
Little girl, know you are loved By me, your family, and the angels above. Listen to your heart always, and grow up To be strong; to this I raise my cup.
This is sort of to all young girls out there to just listen to their hearts... not what the others say. I wish I could've told myself this (even as a young adult) before I entered bricks and mortar school again..
