"The year is 2411. The setting? The colony of Initium, est. 2386. The problem? Those filthy Alliance soldiers think they can just land on our moon whenever they want, and Marcus Caine isn't doing a thing about it. It's just a matter of time before someone snaps- I swear it."

They came in a massive ship without warning. As soon as they landed, they disappeared into Initium Hall at the center of town. No one explained what 'the enemy' was doing in the colony. No one tossed them out even though they didn't belong in Fringe territory. . .

Some people are hoping the Alliance will absorb the colony. Some want nothing more than to see the soldiers leave-- forced out, if necessary. All seem to be wondering why the Alliance has come and what they actually plan to do. As time drags on, the number of colonists willing to wait for an explanation dwindles.

People are taking sides. The colony's splitting apart. It isn't a matter of whether or not the colony will enter a state of chaos. The chaos has already begun.

You're either with the Alliance or you're with the Fringe. There is no middle ground.

After 400 Alliance government military personnel landed on Initium without warning, colonists and soldiers alike started to feel the tension born from many years of conflict between the haves and the have-nots of the Nu System. Since then, there have been murders, the Alliance has set up shop in the colony's research facility, and 100 men and women from other Fringe planets have come to act as Initium's new 'police force'. There are whispers of the Alliance trying to take over the colony and much louder expressions of discontent.

While the Alliance's intentions are becoming clearer, there is still a lot left to discover. There's a lot of tension between those in support of the Alliance government and those against it. People are taking sides. The colony's splitting apart.

It isn't a matter of whether or not the colony will enter a state of chaos. The chaos has already begun.
