Role Model: His Mother -- it was actually probably her fascination for reading that was passed down through genetics. She always seems to know the answers to every question he asked, and perhaps her figure in his life in the past just became imprinted in his mind. To him, his mother is the most important figure to look up to. Favourite Spell: Imperturbable -- This spell has been the best way of keeping certain sounds from being overheard, whether it be fighting, romancing, or even singing in the shower. To Evan, it was one of the most useful spells to keep rumors with his name from starting.
Overall Personality:
There's a fine line between being shy and being anti-social. By no means is Evan the latter of the two. While he tries his hardest to make up for it, he has no natural ability to start conversations, nor to keep them going. It gets to the point that he turns people off because they deem him as "boring" and scorn him for "trying too hard." So half the time, he won't even bother starting conversations and tries to just feel comfortable being alone -- not that he doesn't want the friends. In fact, another word that fits him is "lonely", even if it doesn't always come across. Perhaps it's constant need for someone close to him that shows compassion towards him. More than occasionally is he left sitting alone in the Commons or In The Mess Hall because his small batch of friends are either elsewhere or busy. But after years and years of the same routine, it's become a bit of a life lesson and thus he doesn't mind it as much as he used to. To him, it's a form of adaptation to social standards, and he figures that later in life, friends won't be needed when he has a career or a partner.
Perhaps something that separates him from most men and women at the school is his actual genuine personality towards empathy. If someone is upset, he always tries to offer whatever help he could give them -- whether it be just an ear or a shoulder. While he has trouble keeping conversations going, these sort of conversations usually involve him listening, so it works out. If someone suddenly undergoes some form of tragedy, immediately, he feels a figment of their pain in his heart and will feel compelled to slow down his life for a moment to acknowledge his condolences. Evan never goes out of his way to annoy or hurt his friends, and will always try and make up for any mistake he may have made. So, to put it simply, Evan is one of those friends that can be seen as dependable and valuable.
Why he is the way he is on this portion of his personality is a bit tied into how his family he is. Since he was little, Evan was always fascinated in the past and the whole picture of history itself. This is why he constantly excels in classes that deal with his subject, and why he may know enough to understand philosophical statements. But his fascination doesn't stop just at history -- but also goes on to just being fascinated about other people's experiences. When someone is telling a story, he can easily picture the occurrence in his mind and offer his praise for someone's accomplishments or give his advice to someone in need. He likes to listen, and likes to understand, and in the long run, it serves as a sufficient beneficiary.
There is always a dark side to every kind soul however. Tying back in to his loneliness, Evan does whatever possible to try and gain a positive reputation towards people he wants to befriend. While adapts to the situations around him as best as he can, he has this instinct and habit to make himself feel better by scoring higher or doing better than others -- whether it be in class, or in knowledge, or even in friendships. He had spent too many of his years being ignored and occasionally disliked to not strive for the praise and compliments. While he absolutely hates the pressure of being in front of a crowd, or being in the kind of attention that he isn't completely sure about, he does like the attention when its' guaranteed there will be good to say. This is why occasionally, he is called rather elitist and somewhat ambitious for tackling on difficult classes and for occasionally focusing so much of his time on worrying about how everyone else is doing. And in all honesty, he really needs to realize that he is who he is and life shouldn't always be focused on how everybody else ranks around him, but how he ranks for himself and his own needs.history. Current Living Arrangement: Durmstrang Hometown: Windsor, Berkshire
Parents: Cooper James and Joanna Stevens-James Siblings: Alison and Cecilia James // graduates of Beauxbatons Notable Persons: Not As Of yet
Background:
Residing in a relatively area in west Berkshire of Windsor, there was nothing extraordinary of the James Household. With two parents who married young and tried to secure a good amount of money for approaching children, it was really just a typical married couple trying to make the best of a tough situation for their children. And by typical, it meant that they were strict followers of the cause, and saw it fit that their children follow the same road. The first two children would be girls, and would immediately be sent to Beauxbaton's for a strong education to make the family proud. But as the third child became a son, his parents pondered on the decision on where to be placed. After some thought, he was eventually sent to Hogwarts (partially on a whim) and joined the Ravenclaw house.
Since his first year, the moment he started taking the History Of Magic, feeling relatively compelled to the textbooks he'd go through. Every bit of information that would soak itself into his brain would be absolutely fascinating to him, and he'd want to learn more. Assignments hardly were assignments to him, and he found that everything he learned would stick nicely in his mind. However, with every strength, there was a weakness. For him, potions became his primary weakness. While he always gave as much attention as he could possibly muster without feeling drowsy, Evan ended up getting a P on his first course of Potions, and therefore fell behind in his Potion studies. And once he actually completed the course, he tried to avoid taking the more advanced courses until his very final year, where he could finally pass the OWLs once and for all.
As he approached his second year however, and as puberty finally began to take hold of the boy, so did the slow realization that he was different than a lot of the other boys. As the years went by, denial became acceptance, but the fear of his parents' pride over him still lingered above him. So while he was positive his attractions were solely for men, he had kept his attraction at a distance, and kept himself from acting out about it for two main reasons. The first involved the fact that he wanted to keep his reputation clean from anything that may tarnish it. And the second was that he was afraid of growing too attached to someone he may have read the wrong way.
And more changes would occur as well, this time involving his parents. Ever since his first admittance into Hogwarts, his parents were concerned that his growth was not going the way they had planned. The descriptions and reasonings were ever changing; "too serene," "too peaceful," "lacking toughness"...and there were other examples to follow up with that. And so, with the help of the Chancellor, a transfer was made and Evander was then enrolled into Durmstrang in Bulgaria. And initially, Evander was rather intimidated. The school was known for training naturally born fighters, and was essentially a military school disguised as a school focused on education. Its' all boy enrollment that initially was in place was also a reason why the parents were so eager for the particular school. Of course, after the school became co-ed, it didn't matter too much exactly.
While Evander was never exactly the one for brute strength in both physical combat and magical combat, he still developed very nicely in form. While he was naturally lanky, a few years of strength building, a more masculine form came upon the boy. In the matter of magical combat, his wand wasn't exactly one of too much significance, but his wandmaker did mention he did have a small leverage in charm spells. Either way, a lot of his training in dueling did pay off to get him an E in his magical combat.
One thing however, that began to grow within the boy was his susceptibility to question. Much to the fear of his parents, he even began to question both the resistance and the occupation. Not that he was ever the type to be revolutionary and the one to go against the crowd, but such things were so fascinating to him. Out of the ordinary and hardly standardized, Evan began to his open his eyes to the world around him, his allure towards history being his guide. Of course, such wonders were meant to be kept secret, and thus his alignment is still primarily for the resistance. Why? His parents have a full trust for the Death Eaters, and until his formal emancipation (since he's already reached the age of 18), he must respect his parents' wishes and beliefs. However, it still does not hinder the fact that he now leans more towards neutrality above all.
As he approaches his seventh year, Evan tries to maintain a very optimistic point of view for his lifestyle. It seemed like the tough obstacles were already passed over and now everything was like walking on air. Of course, after putting off potions, he now has to face the wrath of his worst subject and hopes not to get a grade any lower than he already has. But either way, the year seems to await a great many adventures all on its' own, and Evan only hopes that his little world doesn't shatter too quickly before his graduation. But as always, there was no form of predictability when you went to one of the most vicious schools out there, and lived in a time where you're alive one moment and possibly dead the next.

It had become a habit to actually reach the newspaper stands every morning to go and read the current news of Gotham, not that Pamela saw interest in such subjects as the latest fashion and newest food item. In fact, the main reason she got hold of the Gazette was for the news; specifically, on one of the most disliked industries on her list. This condemnation was for one reason and one reason alone. Wayne Enterprises was one of the top industrial, conglomerate marketers on technological advancements. Simply put, the advancements that came out of Wayne Enterprises would slowly disrupt natural balance and result in the disregard towards everyday nature. And when it came to such a loss, Pamela would not stand for it – and since her first four years of college, Pamela was always set against the idea of Gotham City housing this multi-billion dollar company as its’ primary hotspot. The thought gave her the urge to vomit.
Frustrated and tired, Pamela harshly closed the newspaper and crossed her legs, shifting her position as she sat in the midst of a morning atmosphere inside a lesser known restaurant. She had even forgotten what exact restaurant it was, but at the time, she just wanted to quickly find a place to sit down and actually read the newspaper. But the head story was too much for her to handle. Before long, Pamela actually pulled out a red marker, which was conveniently in her purse after having used it earlier that day, and drew a huge X upon the headline.
“ ‘Wayne Enterprises In Rising Once Again.’ Of all cliché titles, they came up with that one?” She muttered to herself as she put the marker away and left the crinkled newspaper on the side of her table. Given the situation, she figured it would be best to just order something, and quickly. She didn’t need some gargantuan meal to fill her stomach, but she figured getting a bite of something would be best. Dr. Woodrow needed her to quickly get to work, but she very desperately needed to finish the final touches to the dreaded request she was made. Yes, she was still stressing about the blasted assignment the red lipped freak commissioned her to do – if such a word was even applicable. No, she’d scoff at the wording and just know she was being held against her will, bound not by ordinary shackles, but by an invisible time bomb. And soon, he would come to collect. At that point, Pamela wasn’t even sure if she had done the assignment correctly. Thinking back, she couldn’t completely remember every word he had said for her to do. At such moments of panics, one isn’t completely attached towards the fabric of reality – but rather, they isolate their minds and just hope that the situation disappears before them.
She peered down the list of entrees, having preemptively decided that an appetizer was a waste of money when she wasn’t exactly starving. And after choosing an item, she set down the menu and peered around the newspaper. Vacant expressions, a couple of waitresses and one waiter… it was obviously not the most busy of times. Yet, with each passing minute that she sat there in lack of service, Pamela began to grow annoyed. Did the waitress assigned to Pamela slap her little head on the pavement and somehow forgot on what her paid job was?
Peering down at herself, Pamela began to wonder if maybe she somehow wasn’t dressed for the occasion – if such a rule existed in a low key restaurant. She was dressed in a steel-blue, leopard patterned dress that stopped right at the top of her upper thighs, right beneath the curve of her behind. And with a small belt, a new, black coat that acted as more of a blouse than a legitimate coat, black stockings, and black heels, it was easy to say that she wasn’t dressed as if somehow stumbled out of her apartment. Yet, she still wasn’t getting any form of service. Then the assumption came into her head about her expression – but there was nothing to do about that. When a customer doesn’t get what they deserve, they have a right to feel annoyed and a right to feel like something should be corrected. Most importantly, Pamela had already been waiting for a good fifteen minutes and this situation would just not do for a time like this.
She ran her hand on the top of her head, making sure no loose hairs were sticking out from neat pony tail she had put up. And it was at that moment that her piercing green eyes began to look around for someone’s attention. She had places to go, and she did not want to spend her day at a restaurant – feeling both defeated and irate. At the sight of a blonde waitress that just put down a meal at a table that had CLEARLY been seated after Pamela had, she cleared her throat to grab the waitress’ attention. At no response, Pamela gave a quick glare before actually deciding to open her mouth. “Excuse me…Miss? I haven’t received any service yet and I’ve been waiting for a total of sixteen minutes here, and I’d really like to eat… so… if it’s okay…would I be able to at least ask for someone to take my order?” Pamela was fighting hard to maintain her composure as she spoke, and tried to keep her words polite and proper. But as soon as she began to speak, Pamela was honestly a bit intimidated that even if she had began to yell – she most likely would have hushed up. It was that same innate personality coming out once again.
Pamela wasn’t meant to be demanding, and this was certainly not a time that Pamela would muster up enough courage to stand up for herself. après moi, le deluge AFTER ME COMES THE FLOOD

Hello there, Alan! Welcome to I&E! My name is Jayson and I shall be your neighbourhoodly admin. Why? Well - I mean - because I will be. But yeeeeeeeah. :]
The main parts of the application work just fine. I'm not entirely sure about how the whole holding back with classes would work. I think if you didn't pass the OWLs and Sixth Year Exams, you wouldn't be allowed to continue in the chosen subject. However since it's never stated how it works and all, we can keep it like that (unless you want to change it). Either way is fine really.
The only bit that needs some fixing is the history. The Chancellor has only been in power for two years, so his family wouldn't have been for the Occupation but rather Voldemort, The Triumvirate, Rodolphus, or Bellatrix (depending on the time) [WHICH is the Cause essentially]. I might have misinterpreted it, though, so if I did, I'm sorry - just correct me. [And I did just realise that the application has the main allegiances has Cause, Neutral, and Resistance - which I shall be changing to clarify this situation.] However this really, I think only affects the latter end of the history where you mention that he questions the Cause, which he can't do since the Cause isn't in power anymore [as I said, it's the Occupation now - and that's kind of my fault for not changing that properly on the application. Apologies.]
Next, History of Modern Magic is at Durmstrang and not offered at Hogwarts. [That's just a quick fix though.]
That's actually it! Just clarify for me whether or not I misinterpreted what you wrote [because it's very possible I have\ and whatnot and maybe tweak the one or two little things I mentioned and we'll be good! =] It's just small things. The app is totally accepted and whatnot though. haha

Thank you for such a quick response!
Um, I wasn't sure exactly if me changing it would make things worse and more complicated, so I decided to just make minor edits with grades -- since i realized an E is practically required to make it to NEWT level in education. As for the potions thing, I really am not sure how to change it to make sense -- since i feel the aspect of my character is that he's horrible at potions, unless that means he'd probably have picked a different class/decided not to take potions at all? If that's the case, I'll go ahead and make the necessary changes.
And yeah, my characters history changed twice when I was writing it, so there are weird parts I forgot to take out -- sorry about that! But I think i fixed the history for it to make sense, and I'm sorry for not realizing the plot movements sooner! That was my fault.
But i think everything is essentially fixed. Let me know if there's anything else for me to fix, and i'll be happy to go ahead and do everything.
