Earlier today, the Ministry of the Chancellor underwent a serious attack. Both the Department of Mysteries and the Department of Magical Law Enforcement suffered serious damage and may be out of commission for some time it seems. Authorities suspect it to be the work of the escaped convict of whom we reported not but a week or so ago; however, there is no evidence to support this claim, or at least there is none that the authorities have given. All we know is the following:
The two victims in this matter were named Jacob Nott and Felicia Carini; both died in the incident.
A message was written in each department. They both said the same thing and were, presumably, written in the victims’ blood: The Darkness Cannot Kill Me.
Who is this mystery assailant? Is it indeed the convict or is there someone else from the past who has come back to haunt this bright new land?
No matter who it is, though, Chancellor McCarthy will protect us and put an end to this murderer. There is no doubt about that. If we have faith in him, he will save us all just as he saved the savages from themselves when he took over two years ago.
