Naku ran through the limbs of the trees, jumping over any bushes or boulders that got in his way. His tounge lay out of his open mouth, and blew back in the wind. His eyes sparkled with excitement as he neared the lake, ready for another day of fun, as was every other day.

He emerged from the tree line, to find himself on a rocky ledge. He paused, and panted on top of the rock, basking in the sunlight that was cast upon him. He padded over to the side of the rock and looked down, to see a small cascade of boulders and pebbles. His eyes seemed to narrow in delight at the challenge, and with a joyful bark, he jumped down from the top rock onto a series of boulders, making well-timed and efficient jumps.

He paddled over to the bank, and walked up onto the dry, hot, sand. He shook his fur heartily, before turning back to the lake. Such a nice day.

He glanced down at the clear waters and saw a few dark forms darting to and fro beneath the water barrier. With a look of concentration, and well aimed precision, he jabbed his paw, claws outstretched, into the water, forcing a large splash. The fish escaped, and he pounced on the water, continuously jabbing at the fleeting fish.

After a few moments, Naku gave up and walked back up to shore, fur now drenched, again. He shook his fur again, and walked back into the forest, stretching his back legs before entering. I'm hungry..
