I recently went to Amsterdam and was surprised at the fact that it is basically heaven and earth in one place...
Not a reference to red light district in particular but the city in general! What i'm sayin is that by day it is a normal city where u wouldn't bat an eyelid at whats going on (apart from the cyclists and trams)... BUT - by night it turns into a drug fueled, sex-driven, city of chaos, full of laughing sinners... I was just a bit confused about whether it was actually a good or bad place... anyone got any thoughts about this?!? |

been a few times - put tbh didnt do much..
found some good clubs out in mid of nowhere once and apart from the usual heroics of drink, drugs and some window shopping - cant say I managed to appreciate it for what it is.. trying to cross the road is a task in it's self with cars, trams, bikes and stoned yanks everwhere - but I intend to go and not visit a coffee shop one day and take it all in - until then its all a bit of a purple haze |
