Board Rules (Last Updated: 8/13/06)
Manual Of The InvisionFree Coding ZoneForum RulesRule 1. Staff Positions. Do not ask for a staff position at the IFCZ. The staff we choose are hand picked through evaluating them during the days they are active. Asking for the position will not raise your chances. The best you could get out of it would be coming off power hungry. Warning: None. Rule 2. Profanity. Slayer776 is most likely, the heaviest curser here. If anything that you say at all offends him, you are going overboard. This may not be one of the most offensive, though if you do it to much. You will be warned. Warning: 25% Rule 3. Prejudism. This is something that is highly looked down upon. No matter if you do it casually or not, is none of our business, though be sure to review your post to make sure that it is not offending any group. This means no racial, ethnic, gender insults or any other discriminations. Warning: 25%. Rule 4. Flaming. Flaming and 'trolling' will not be allowed. This means that if you blatantly insult another user with out any reasoning. You will be warned. Then there is 'trolling', though 'trolling' is fairly hard to point out, if we notice it, it will be treated as flaming would. Which means, talk to us like you would your teacher/boss. Warning: 25%. Rule 5. Spam. We all know what spamming is, for we all did it at one point. If you don't know exactly what "spam" is. It means Stupid, Pointless, Annoying, Message. Check over your post to make sure it doesn't fit all of those requirements. Though this is not a major issue, even less that cursing, it will be dealt with if gotten out of hand. Warning: 25%. Rule 6. Illegal activity. This includes, but is not limited to; Porn, Warez, ROMs, MP3s, Crackers, and other 'things' that would get you in the slammer. This is one of the worst offenses and will be delt with immediately. Take your shit some place else, and be sure to not link us there. Linking to a site with the said 'things' would be treated the same, this applies while advertising as well. Warning: 1 week suspension or ban depending on the mood, and who it is that caught you. Rule 7. Post correctly. Do not post in the incorrect forum. Be sure to skim through the forums to find what place would seem to fit the best. If you do not find the forum you are looking for, either place it in community chat, or PM a mod or admin for assistance. Warning: None, though topic will be moved. Rule 8. Plagiarism. Graphics, codes, emotes, and tutorials are grand examples of this. If you post any work that is not your own and do not give credit to the rightful owner, you will be in trouble. Whether you forget to give credit or not is not going to come into play, remember. Warning: 50%. AdvertisingPlaces you may advertise. You may only advertise in the following areas: Signature, Profile, and the advertisement boards if you meet the required rules posted below. Rule 1. Posts. To prevent flooding and members joining only for them to advertise, we have made a rule that you may only post a forum if you have at least 10 posts on this one. If you break this rule, your topic will be closed. Warning: None. Rule 2. Describe. You must include all of these details with in the post you make. Board Name: Board Link: Board Description: Administrator: Rule 3. Members. If you expect somebody to join your forum, they will probably want to know how many members will be there. This is to help determine how easy it would be to be active, and how many conversations they would take place in at your forum. Rule 4. What special feature's does your site/forum include? Normally people don't want to join an old stale forum that is just like any other. Make sure that you have at least one thing innovative about your forum before posting. Chances are, not many people will join a site posted here called the Invisionfree coding place.;) Rule 5. No Staff Recruiting Do not try to recruit staff while advertising. The first time this happens, your topic will be closed and the next time you will get your warn level raised. Rule 6. Bumping Bumping as only allowed if you can follow the below circumstances. Else, topic will be closed.
Rule 7. Affiliating. To affiliate, you must have a visible way of finding the IFCZ from your site. It would also help if you could post a few ways affiliating with your site would make ours better. Be sure to add [AFFILIATE] at the beginning of your post to help improve chances of it being accepted.
