The line that kept him from going all the way crazy... was now gone. Yup. He broke it. With all his, maniacal turns and sardonic flailings; the line simply severed one day, and it will never return. So now I can officially say that Andre, the twisted, has finally tipped over his rocker. Yeah. But I'm not going to sit here and tell you about that... Let's talk about how he got here.

It seemed rather cruel, this world. That you either lived to kill or be killed. You were much luckier if you were the killer. Not to say that in this particular place; only one creature had the privaledge of hardly being in danger. And that was the wolf. You were either a pack member or loner, depending on how you chose to live your life here.

Now a few new wolves had been relocated to this area. This special program was devised to save the dwindling wolf population in another area, and it was working quite well, not that the wolves knew anything about all this crap. All they knew is that they were trapped by humas, unknown to their strategy. Amoung the replaced wolven, a seemingly retarted wolf that insisted on thrashing itself against the bars of its cage. A couple teeth were broken in the process, luckily neither of them his canines; and a paw seemed to grow numb from the wound that had been inflicted upon it. The wolf didn't seemed to care. He really wanted to get the hell up outta this place. He calmed down after about an hour or so; and this was only because he had knocked himself out. The wolf dozed uneasily, and woke up in even more pain than he had been upon waking up. He had received tranquilizers as they removed him from the cage, so as to ensure he wasn't going to wake up. They dropped him off mid-forest and he lay there still, in the pattened earth; from the bright of day until it was a mere few hours from night. How pleasant.

Long shadows shifted uncomfortably in the faded light. The dense, green-pelted forestry seemed to exclude the majority of light from its on-going party. Few creatures stirred, daring to move about in this game of 'life or death'. The killer stirred, his sharp, stormy optics flashing monotonously, as he struggled to his paws. He felt woozy, staggering sideways and back and forth, kicking up dirt as he steadied himself against the base of a tree. As he gazed upwards into the thick canopy, he began to realize where he was. The brisk air pushed through his pattened pelt of dirty-white hue. Lean frame convulsed in an involuntary shiver, and his jaws slavered from the pain of his missing teeth.

He watched dizzily as thin drifts of fog swirled about his feet. Why he hadn't noticed this eerie factor before was a mystery to him. He shook himself, the dark gray hairs along his spine, stood nervously on end. He relaxed considerably upon noticing the absence of any humans; or anone else for that matter. Listless eyes gazed deep into the forest, and a slight roll was executed as he realized where he was. "Great. Just another forest to get myself lost in..." he muttered disdainfully, glaring towards a particularly brave squirrel that had dared cross his path. He gave a sharp bark towards it, scaring the poor morsel away- but not without consequnce.

His head pulsated, the sedations he had received were making his brain work a little slower than normal pace. The virile cringed, tail bristling alarmingly. This was just perfect! Lost in the middle of the woods, with no idea where he is or even what continent he was on( which was still the same one mind you), and he had a damn headache! How peachy. His anger was barely beginning to simmer. He snorted, angular facade dropping low to the ground. Large, leathery orifice twitched lightly, as his skull swung slowly back and forth. Maybe if he could pick up a distinct scent, things would be better. But all he could smell was the faded stench of humans and the gas from thier vehicle. He growled angrily, claws flexing anxiously through the earth.

Pointed listening devices pricked, flicking towards the faint whispers of the winds. He turned slowly, looking towards one of three paths to choose from. He blinked confusedly for a moment, and then did 'eeny, meeny, miney, moe' in his head. He choose the path to the far left and began a sluggish trek down the foggy way. Lengthy appendages strutted outwards, and powerful shoulder muscles flexed smoothly. Handsome features of the virile became apparent beneath his rather mangled looks at the moment. All that thrashing had done him no good. His jaws hurt slightly, but it was good to know that his forepaw was no longer hurting. He padded forwards slowly, pausing every moment or so to scent he air and position himself in the direction he chose.

It had not taken too long before he stopped, stormy colored eyes gazing quizically towards the earth at his paws. It was obvious to him that a warning had been placed here. An invisible line setting all the land before him apart from what he had just came through. He tilted his head slightly, blinking rather stupidly at the unseen boundary that had been placed at his feet. He mumbled under his breath, letting a rather anxious growl escape parted jaws. He began to pace up and down the line. The border to Jyxali.

His alabaster painted pelt gave a ripple of indecisive apprehension. He was either going to cross, or go back the way he came. A snowball's chance in hell, he was going back in the other direction. He sighed, angularly chisled chest deflating considerably. He stepped tentively over the border, but his eyes showed confidence. He didn't seem at all worried for his well-being, though he maybe he should've. Piercing gaze examined his surroundings carefully. Scrutinizing things he might have to remember later on. He paused, realizing that as a guest, it was his duty to introduce himself.

He blinked, unsure if he wanted to do something he hardly did anymore. In a split decision, muzzle rose jaw parted. Larynx reverberated as a powerful song tried escape him. His pounding headache returned with agonizing speed, turning his supposed howl into a painful hiss. He growled, lowering his muzzle quickly. It was impossible to howl with such pain close at hand. This was lucky on his part, for unfortunately he did not know that Jyxali wolves did not appreciate howling. He reclined upon strong haunches, gazing to and fro. He would wait patiently. He would rather do this than be caught dead wandering through someone's claimed area.
This is DeAndre Meotae.

Interesting entrance, but good. Welcome =)

The pelt of the female wolf might have been vibrant, but if so, not a color sort; her fur was a rich, deep black color, tinted with mahogany here and there, streaked with onyx. Either way, her fur was plainly black, very black, which was everything unlike her eyes. They seemed like two rebels, deciding to oppose their brethren and go the way of white, and not just white; a glowing, simmering white, with a sheen of almost silvery hue.

The bright, flashlight-like eyes led her down the path of the Forest of Jade, taking in the misty surroundings without much interest. Her home was something that she was so entirely accustomed to that she sometimes did not even take notice of them anymore, though they were quite beautiful. Don't take this wrong, Dagger did indeed deeply appreciate her packlands; but when one sees something for so long, it isn't as shocking or interesting as it was the first time.

It was here that she stood when she heard a strangled sort of hiss that might have been an attempt to howl, and her black ears perked high on her head. The fluffy tail immediately raised and slightly waved, and her previously relaxed figure immediately tensed. Was that...excitement for a moment? The now high-curved tail stopped waving, and she raised her head appropriately; just high enough to show her position but not so high that she would allow someone access to her neck. Fortunately, Dagger was not that trusting, which might have made her smart in this world.

Without warning, her long feminine legs started up and she followed the scent and area of the sound that came barreling toward her about the same time she heard the noise. If it was a wolf, than it would be the first time in a while. If it was not, then Dagger might have been deeply disappointed. You really can't blame her; very few want lifelong solitude, and she was not one of them even though she liked privacy. A wolf that wanted to join her lands seemed like a good omen, because she could use the help, and a compliment.

The sight that came to the two almost cat-bright eyes was rather strange, but nothing less than she had wanted. A wolf stood, just over her border, looking almost pathetically feather-ruffled. The scent of his blood came from his mouth, and it appeared that he had some teeth missing. Either he had just come from a fight, she gathered, or tumbled down a nasty hill. Her white eyes looked up and down him for a moment to size him up.

"My name is Siren, but you may call me none else than Dagger. These are my packlands, of Jyxali. It appears that you could use some assistance. Am I correct?" This was the first time for a long time that Dagger had offered her true name, much less offered her help, especially to an intruder. He seemed interesting enough, though, so she did not see the harm.

ooc: Yeah? I got tired of merely having my wolves wander about until they "accidentally" end up upon a territory. I actually based this idea on the time when my dog came from surgery. He looked like he was drunk when the sedations wore off x)

DeAndre

Swirls and twisters of contorted color wavered before his very eyes. He couldn't see straight. It was as if the wariness of the injected liquids were returning. Masculine frame gave an involuntary shudder, and his tainted, alabaster pelt rippled apprehensively. Stormy colored eyes gazed upwards, daring to gaze towards the shadily, filtering light that had managed to penetrate the dense canopy. The light flexed oddly, and fell at strange angles. Everything seemed to be moving, though in reality, everything was perfectly still. Untouched by Nature's blisters.

The virile was uneasy, and he felt sick. Pointed ears flicked desperately, trying to catch any faint sounds. But it was as if his listening devices had been stuffed with some thick, unknown substance, for even the chatter of the birds had become muffled and rang with a baritone slowness. He blinked hard, suddenly seeing something dark move without the rhythum of his mind. Everything swayed one way, whilst the shadowy figure moved a totally different way. His head tilted, as the clearly four-legged animal moved closer. Features became distinctive, and quite sensual in his opinion.

The beast was obvious a wolf by now. He could distinguish its slender legs, and artistically angulared bodice. A femme fatale, if he wasn't mistaken. The pelt of ebon became apparent, and he was glad he realized this now. A shadow moving as she had been was quite... disturbing in his thoughts. The virile paused, ears flickering in her direction. He heard her words, and tried desperately to interpret them. It had taken a minute, but he grasped the basics of what she had said. He wasn't too fond of receiving help; but he was clearly in no condition to show that horrd temper he obtained within.

"My... ummmm.... Pleasure... Lady Dagger... I'm... errrr.... DeAndre or... simply Andre" he said placidly. He spoke considerably slow, having a rough time forming the words he constantly used. What the hell was the problem. He shook his head slightly, remebering to incline his head in due respects to the female before him. Sucessfully, he had noted the position of this particular she-wolf; and not only because of her words. Dagger's posture was regal, and the elegance she held within her stance only enhanced this featurette. her words had only confirmed his previous thoughts, plus added the name of this territory. Jyxali.

Andre felt the need to say something else, but couldn't actually figure the right words. The color had stopped swirling, but his deep mentality was a jumbled mess. A towering pile of words had settled before him, and he didn't know which ones were right. "Your lands are.... ummm... Quite exhilarating" he breathed, forcing the last words out as he was near sucking them back into his throat in a deep breath. He sighed, concerned with his own self. If he speech didin't clear up soon, Dagger would possibly consider him mentally unstable. It was better if he didn't remain unsaid about his current state. "Humans..." he managed to blurt out blandly. Maybe that would clear up a few things about his strange actions, and trashy appearance. Or maybe it would make things all the more confusing. DeAndre would have to simply wait for Dagger's reply.

Yes, it is nice. Thinking outside the box is a great feature, and I always appreciate when someone really tries =)

Dagger's posture remained intact as she watched the wolf woozily reply to her, staggering and slurring in a nearly drunken stupor. He first spoke his name, taking time to speak his words, but none very enunciated despite that factor. By now she was beginning to question exactly what was wrong with this wolf and if she actually could help.

With a subtle lift of a surprised, far-to-none nonexistant eyebrow, she listened to him continue on to say that her lands were 'exhilirating'. At least the compliment was one that she did not get often. In truth, a compliment she would have expected to get was 'misty' or 'green'. The strange compliment, however, only made her more curious to the condition of the newest addition.

A state of bad blood? The question came into her mind rather randomly. No, that could not possibly be the explanation. Something had happened to him, and she figured it had something to do with the fact that his teeth were missing. As if by reading her mind, he said, "Humans," and the conclusion was irrelevant. If this wolf had had a run-in with humans, any strange behavior might have been forgiven.

"You don't think your condition will be permanent, do you?" she spoke, almost out of concern. A bumbling wolf in her pack might be a problem more than assistance. It was not soon afterward that she realized that his vision was fuzzy, from the way he was blinking and searching around with his eyes. It was also strange, but Dagger found herself stepping forward to lean against his side to keep him from falling over with dizziness. "Be careful. You have to rest to clear up your head." the words sounded foreign to her, as if they weren't even hers. A new pack meant new beginnings. She had to be at least a bit of a caring alpha alongside a strong alpha if she wanted the loyalty of her members, came the subconscious explanation for her actions.

Why, thank ya, dahling. I rather enjoyed making that one post. Can't say I'll make another like it. -grins-

DeAndre

DeAndre was still. A statue-like posture had been obtained as he patiently awaited Dagger's next words. He anticipated a bad comment. Something about him being retarted or something, and was immediately ordered to leave. That was something that would trigger immediate rage within Andre; headache or not. He had yet to find out what kind of pack this was, or what type of Alpha Dagger had positioned herself as. The alignment was more of his concern than anything. He guessed he would find out... sooner or later.

Jaws slavered, a mixture of saliva and blood slipping from his widely parted jaws. The only reason for this was because his jaw had begun to cramp from the pain, and rather than swallowing a mothful of intoxicating blood- he let it fall out. He shook his head, flashing Dagger a rather apologetic look for his messy behaviour. Pointed ears flicked towards the ebon she-wolf and he tilted is head. He had heard her words very cleary, though he hadn't been listening. The realization that his hearing had returned to peak condition was a great aspect to him. Muzzle inclined and he peered towards her, blinking rather hard. He realized he was stalling upon answering her question, and he vigorously shook his cranium as if to make up for lost time.

"No. In fact... my hearing... is coming back..." he said rather quietly. Vision swayed and he grew a bit dizzy, but then he realized that it was not his vision that was unstable- it was his frame. He felt something press against his side, assuming the upright position for him. He glanced sideways, eyeing the lithe frame of Dagger. Andre examined Dagger more clearly now that she was close up. She was a sure-fire beauty. Elegant and powerful looking. She looked like a good leader... but was DeAndre correct? He gave his head another shake, and the blurriness of his vision seemed to clear a little. Now everything did not look like a fuzzy distortion, but more of a light veil that had been drapped over his eyes. Muzzle wrinkled slightly and he found his tongue unconsciencely exloring the empty acesses within his mouth. It kinda hurt, so he forced himself to stop, gazing towards Dagger once more.

Again he had taken entirely too long to reply to her. Having been caught up in his own disoriented thoughts at the moment. "Thank you, Dagger," he murmered, dipping his angular skull once more, "I am getting better by the minute... I believe that I would enjoy serving you and your pack well... once I get better" he said pointedly. His speech was indeed getting better, his vocabulary growing, so he no longer felt the need to use such short and choppy sentences anymore. It wasn't like he was a pup again- and even then, Ramia always forced them to speak properly. No wonder he knew all words of profanity before most pups learned how to say 'Mother & Father'.

He gave a short pause blinking towards her with friednly passion. The nicest thing he had done since he split up with his siblings, nearly a year ago. "My loyalty lies with you, Dagger" he murmered, crouching slightly. His legs ached and he really needed to rest. He didn't feel comfortable falling asleep, and never had. But he surely needed to lie down, if even for a minute. He smiled weakly and blinked sullenly. He flexed his masculine shoulders to relax slightly. His vision was clearing bit by bit, yet annoyingly slow. He just wished it would all end soon.

All the better =D

enchantress::ic

Dagger remained relatively quiet whilst he slowly spoke, continuing her posture to hold him up, nearly grateful that he did not protest her help. Difficulties were something she wanted to avoid best as possible, and it was a relief that his condition would not stay as such. Shifting a little, somewhere along the line she ducked her head under his front leg, unsure of how exactly this would help except to hold him up, but slightly awkwardly.

"That's good news. Now come, we can at least go somewhere with water." Without waiting for a response, she began to haul him further onto her shoulder, although still toward the side. "I won't pick you up unless you pass out, so you should start walking with me." she spoke again, and slowly began to walk, attempting to pull him along with her.

It was the first time in a long time, and quite possibly ever that she had helped a stranger. Dagger's compassionate side was subliminal, but her good intentions were obvious. With more foreign words, she spoke, "Now you'll hold out. I'm sure you'll be woozy but you will make it to the water. It'll get better." She spoke all this as if she knew what she was talking about, but it was partly to convince and reassure him and partly to convince herself.

The thought suddenly crossed her mind to the personality of this male. He could be faking and just trying to trick her, which could have been possible. This may have made Dagger a real slip-up, and she immediately scolded herself in her mind, but there was no point in going back now. Besides, he seemed to stagger and slur quite realistically to her; though she could never forgive herself if it might have been otherwise. But would he continue to accept her help, or act a little more headstrong and deny her walking assistance? The latter might have been a bit more foolish in her eyes, considering his current state, but you could never tell with men and their egos...

-sneaks picking nose- x)

DeAndre

DeAndre fell silent, his gaze wandering past Dagger in a curious manner. As his vision was slowly returning, the vibrant colorations of the land were becoming clearer. Though he had been merely trying to please her by saying that her lands were 'exhilerating', he began to realize that he had chosen the correct word in this instance. He went ridgid for a moment, Dagger's slender frame sliding and the bulk of her nape ending beneath his foreleg. He felt a portion of his weight lift, and settle comfortably upon her.

He growled inwardly, and glancing down at her. He didn't want to hurt her, and this was sure to put some awkward strain upon her unaturally strong frame. "Your strong..." he murmered, but shook his head as she spoke. "Water sounds good, but --" he had started to try to discern her with him, and protest that he could walk on his own, but he hadn't been given a chance as Dagger shifted him further upon her shoulder. He grunted and situated himself so as to apply less pressure upon her. Andre blinked incredulously as she spoke again. "I doubt you would be able to take me all the way to water if I black out... I would be hopeless, dead weight" he said, frowning and shaking his head.

DeAndre vaguely wondered why she was helping him. Beautiful wolves usually held ugly attitudes. Take Darenda for example. He groaned inwardly at the pointles thought of his sister. Darenda had turned out completely different than what her childhood had suggested. He pushed the thoughts away, not wishing to consider what his sister may have been up to at the moment, unwittingly missing the punishment she was about to recieve... His attention dwindled on his thoughts, returning to the fact that this she-wolf was being far too kind for his liking. Though compassion, and the willing integrity of her sense of duty towards him.

He glanced towards her at her words, edging forward all the while. Pointed ears flicked, and he looked confused for a moment. "Really.. I will be fine..." he murmered, dipping his head slightly; continuing the chain of re-assuring words. He sighed heavily, growing quickly tired of her doing half the work of his motions. He looked around, trying to ignore the fact that he was looking mighty weak at this moment. He didn't like this. Sure, this was mere politeness to a fellow wolf, and he realized that Dagger only wished to help him in this specific time of need; but he couldn't shake the fact that he was stronger than this, and didn't need her help. He had made it thus far, and wouldn't fail now to reveal physical power.

He abruptly slid off her, more than proving her thoughts. He was being quite a male at this moment, as she would have called it. He staggered sideways, catching himself, but in a painful manner. He felt the need to yelp as his paw twisted beneath his weight, but he surpressed it, standing up straight and persuing forward. "Thank you for the generosity... but I can walk myself" he growled, grimacing at the newfound pain in his forepaw. This was just great. He frowned, and glanced towards Dagger. "Please, lead the way..." he said, forcing out his words through the pain. He blinked, quite furious with himself. Quite a predicament he had placed himself in, with his insanely egotistic ways. He figured he looked more like a fool now, than she had thought before. -Nice going Andre- his thoughts spat, muttering derogitory term afterwords. How nice...

Dagger fell silent as she listened to his half-hearted excuses, ignoring them for quite a bit, even though she heard them. After the first finished statement, she was tempted to say 'You don't know exactly WHAT I can carry...' but instead she remained silent for the moment. There would be no point in telling him, when if he stayed here long enough he would undoubtedly find out.

Assumptions correct, Dagger was thinking he was 'being quite a male'. For a moment she considered laughing at the fact that she had actually guessed one of her reasonings right. Of course, it had been a bit forward of her to pick him up in the first place, but it wasn't entirely of her conscious doing. What she was thinking was entirely different from what she had done, but it would seem rather foolish to go back once she had.

Blazing white eyes watched him all the while whilst he staggered off of her back. Apparently he had gotten himself into some sort of pain, from the foul grimace on his face, but this time Dagger had enough self control to stay planted firmly in her spot. Her attempt at kindness was simply a spur, and once over, she was done. There was no point in trying to help him now when he obviously did not want it, and she was no love-love alpha. Normally rigid form now retained, Dagger listened silently but patiently to his words.

"As you would have it, O graceful one," she spoke, a bit of a mock humor edging in. She smiled a little, but turned before it was quite obvious. There was nothing like messing with a male and his ego, but she felt almost bad after saying it. That little stab at his pride might have been unnecessary. "Sorry, it was oh, so tempting..." she added, then began a mild pace forward, ears tilted back toward the male. Dagger wasn't entirely fearful of an attack now, since his condition was obviously hurt and she was in well condition (not to mention her Alpha physique), though she remained alert.
