Crossing over the dank terrain of Naar, voices caught even the slightest of ears. Eyelids draped over her light eyes, as she looked quite friendly over the horizon, but when you came close, she was far from being friendly. She preferred to keep her sarcastic measures at note, and keep from being revealed. She held herself to high regards, but not so much regards that the wolven she was supposed to be meeting here, wouldn't accept or reject her, but rather hold her there for the time being. She'd rather be told she was disgustingly beautiful, than amazingly gorgeous. Things just worked out for her that way.

She'd crept over the many rocks in the shared lands, until she'd finally found the sycamore, at where she was to call that bastard she hoped to one day call an alpha. Was it a sick minded, or a cruel minded thought? All she wanted, was to be in the reigns of another pack. She loved to be played around with, because that meant that she could torture any wolven that she least expected to behave awkwardly. Although she was a bit underhand when it came to brutes, she gave wary expressions, telling a brute that they'd back off before someone gets hurt.

Yes, she'd murdered a horse before, she'd even murdered a brute before with her own claws. She wasn't afraid to call shots, and wasn't afraid to show who she was. She just had a mild-temper problem, that was hard to keep track of sometimes. But when she wans't in a bad mood, she was quite monotonous about the ways things went. She always spoke in a male voice, seemingly as she was born that way, and her overall body looked male. Most wolves would think of her as the male gender when first look, but would overtime find her a female. It was hard to tell female from male on her part.

"Welcome, welcome, infamous old friend. Tell me now, what ill do you intend?" -Disease, Pandora

[ic]

Compared to the rest of the Naar lands, the woodlands were truly the only part which didn't give off some element of danger. Yes, the fog was always thick, covering the ground like cloak in every season and holding all images behind clouded mirrors, but it wasn't so much discomforting as it raised suspicion. Parinioa often took over, causing the mind to race with questions of, "What if?" If anything, the fog was their to test the skills of those who thought they were worthy. To eliminate those who cannot manage before they are drawn too far into the depts of the abyss.

Denavo wove through this cloak of fog, wearing it like a second skin, using it for all it was worth. Vapor was in the air, causing scents to become confused, but sound was really all one needed to rely on. That, or to know where one wanted to go. A true alpha would have feelings that told him that someone was going to betray you or that someone new was venturing into your lands. It was one of these feelings that led him towards that twisted tree standing sentinel while all the lesser twigs drew back. Golden pools flickered over a shadowy form, half-hidden in the fog, and he knew that his senses were right in causing his unrest.

Gliding towards her on sure footed paws, Denavo approched the fatale, allowing himself a slight tip of his crown. "Who are you?" he asked, letting a hint of curiosity fill the air. Because the scents were hidden in the fog filled air, he could not tell what gender this wolf belonged to. If it were a male, he would have said that he were short, but for a female, he would have said that she was built horribly. Whatever happened to the wolf, they had not been blessed upon birth.

Shifting on her natural, yet large pads, she could tell that some wolf was on their way. The scent got stronger by every second that it took for that wolven to get over to where she was. Sighing heavily to herself, her talons clicked mindlessly on the ground, as she awaited the arrival. Aye, she'd been away from wolves, and forunately regular dogs for a while now, that it seemed as if she was the only wolf still living in the world. Although, she hadn't killed the rest of the canines back at her tribelands, but she most definetly was not going back there. That was pure tainted horror over there.

She knew she could get some blood over there, but at the moment, blood wasn't what she wanted. Upon still standing up, she realized that the tree she was by was quite an interesting sycamore to be under. It was almost perfectly straight, and held an eerie sort of glow to her, that seemed almost uncanny. She could feel tension in the earth, that was either from the tree maybe growing right at that moment, which was highly impossible to feel, or the wolf who she could sense earlier was here.

Shifting her gaze silently upwards, she saw the black and white wolf just a few feet away from her. Gaze shifted slightly downwards, as she tipped her head in greetings to this wolf. She noted his figure, and labeled him male, for that was the wisest choice to make. A few clots of fog were rolling in towards him, slightly driving him mad, knowing that these things didn't come easy. Fog was the most beautiful scenery to her, but only because it held an eerie noise in her twin peaks.

"Who are you?"

The words were simple enough to hold in the air for many minutes, just hovering over their heads for few minutes, before reaching the male-looking-female wolves ears. "
Names Aphotia." Aphotia left off with, as she wasn't expecting to say anything more than that, and get into a large ramble of why she should be here and what not. That was all just a trick, and she wasn't about to give this brute her whole life story. she'd keep it all inside her musky timber wolf body.

Denavo picked up his stilled feet, carrying him towards the giant sycamore. He lifted himself up into the branches, standing on one of the lower limbs, but still considerably off of the ground. Boa jerked around as he steadied his feet, letting his golden gaze slid over the wolf he now labled as female. No male would hold a name like that and be proud of it. She had to be what she was although the fact that her gender was hard to find had to be a good thing. Males were generally given more respect than the female variety. That meant outsiders may consider her important. That was of course, if she wished to join his pack.

"Do you know where you are, Aphotia?" he asked in the same tones as before, questioning her as a loner would except for the taunting hint he held in his tone. He did not indicate that he was lost, he merely question whether or not she knew where she was which was a reasonable question, yet rhetorical. "These are the lands of Naar, run by the Aspo, Denavo. What reasons brings a Hina such as yourself upon these lands?" This question deserved a response, not a life's story or saga, but a reason and nothing more.

Shifting on his paws, Denavo turned ever so slightly on the branch, allowing himself to sit down. Plume hung over the wide gerth of the limb, falling into the fog, but he carried his head proudly. He had not hinted that he was infact the Aspo he had spoken of, rather this fatale could figure it out for herself if she wished to know.

HELLO THERE, THE ANGEL FROM MY NIGHTMARE
THE SHADOW IN THE BACKGROUND OF THE MOOR
Looking at the beast that had jumped up into the tree, she could tell he was important, but the way he had held his posture when he walked. But obviously, he wanted her to find out what rank he was. Interesting enough for this fatale, she wasn't about go through a guessing game such a this. This was a mere challenge, for her mind to figure out, where she would disobey what she thought, and go along with what she wanted to think. She wanted to be the way to disregard her rules.

"Do you know where you are, Aphotia?"

Of course she knew where she was. She was in Hyarnoi, seeking to go into training her mind, and work on her skills to becoming much more than just a loner, but instead a warrior at mind, always fighting back, instead of cowering like most loners would do. Although she did have a slight sense of pride about herself, she wasn't going to let this brute down easily, thinking that he would cut down her pride second by second. Those were weaklings, and by gods name, she wasn't a weakling.

"These are the lands of Naar, run by the Aspo, Denavo. What reasons brings a Hina such as yourself upon these lands?"

"Denavo sounds like such an interesting and manly name, but the reason such a 'hina' is out here, is only to seek training, in trickery and stealth. Nothing more." She replied to the layed back brute she seemed to be talking to. She'd emphasized the words 'interesting' and 'manly' only to maybe throw him off his guard. Knowing that he was possibly this Denavo that he seemed to speak off so proudly.

If she were trying to flatter him by making a comment on his name, it wasn't working. Denavo did not take flattery well, but if he were to keep up his act, though it was probably failing since he'd never tried it before, he'd be best to ignore it, or be slightly impressed by it. A loyal subject might take such flattery upon themselves for it was their leader who gave them their name. That same subject could also pass it on and be suspicious of the wolf. He decided on the latter, raising a wolven brow out of pure curiosity and suspicion.

I'm not impressed... Impress me, that is, if you're worth it... Crown cocked to the side, willing her to say more. "You seek training? What makes you think that this is the place?" He urged her on, asking a question so that she would have to speak. Thus far, she wasn't being overly rude, smart maybe, but not rude. Keep watching me vix. Learn something from the way I move, but whatever you do keep talking. I'm not through with you yet... His golden gaze stared down at her own orbs, never faultering.

The rare wind pushed through the forest, causing the sycamore to sway and scatter ashes of burnt bark into the air. The tree itself creaked as if it would crack with it's old age, but Denavo knew that the tree had a good many years on it yet. The once still fog rolled, settling around the tree, creating a ring of free air around both wolves and the great tree. Denavo lifted his nose, pressing his eyes closed with the breeze. Nature was beautiful wasn't it?

HELLO THERE, THE ANGEL FROM MY NIGHTMARE
THE SHADOW IN THE BACKGROUND OF THE MOOR
Ah, this male was so entertaining, yes, he was. It seemed he was maybe a trickster, a pranker, and most importantly, wanting to show that he was the main wolf here, and that was it. Denavo seemed so proper, yet way out of the question. Aphotia wasn't very much liking him, since he was beginning to bore her. Bore her to dismissal maybe. She could try the next pack. But for right now, she was here, trying to see who this denavo really was in these lands.

Shifting impatiently, she noted that he was curious about her ways and how she acted around him. Although he might expect a female just to wander up here and flatter him to bits, and flirt with him, Aphotia wasn't the type to go up to any wolf and tamper with him. No way. Aphotia wasn't going to even try it with Denavo. He was just another pain up her ass. Thankfully, she had arrived here right after winter, right after heat came to her. Otherwise, she would've had a most difficult type dealing with this pack. But if she was accepted, she'd still have that same problem next winter.

"You seek training? What makes you think that this is the place?"

"Because I like punishment." was the only way to put it. She'd gone through no punishment in her life, expect once. She loved it, it called her sweet thing, and she wanted it. Punishing ways, giving things a whipping for doing such things weren't quite disturbing to others, but beautiful to her. Punishment was one of those words that were held up in bright, shining, neon lights in her vivid mind.

So she liked punishment? Fancy that. So did he. Then again, torture was very different to punishment and once he figured out her weakness he'd surely use it against her. Still, she was starting to amuse him ever so slightly and he lept down from the tree, stalking towards her. His paws carried him around her form, circling her as to check her out, make sure that she was physically capable of roaming his lands with out getting hurt. He would not save her from the maze of fog and he would not help her escape from neither snow nor fire. If she couldn't handle this place, the elements would kill her before too long.

"Very well..." he mused, standing to face her after circling her once. That was all he had needed. She seemed capable enough, willing, but her spirit would break if she wasn't up to it. She would have to pick up the broken pieces of her soul and push them back together if she truly wasn't capable. It wasn't his job. Besides, she was the one persuing acceptance. "As Aspo..." though you probably alread knew that.... "I give you the rank of Guja until you can prove your worth." There. He'd given her what she wanted. Now it was her to do whatever she wanted with his acceptance.

"Test the elements. I reccomend testing snow before you move on to ice. Try the north rim of my mountain and train your endurance and freeze your soul. Then move on to the south rim to work on nulling pain, agility, and tolorating heat. If you can't handle those tying areas, come back and see me." There was an underlying taunt in his voice, questioning whether or not she was up for the challenge. She'd either survive or she wouldn't, but either way it would make her stronger. Maybe he was underestimating her, but she seemed like more of a wolf who was more subject to being ruled than actually ruling. She didn't seem like the type who could hold a higher rank well.

HELLO THERE, THE ANGEL FROM MY NIGHTMARE
THE SHADOW IN THE BACKGROUND OF THE MOOR
Aphotia was much at ease with herself, as the brute landed on his dirty black and white paws onto the dirt, and fog covered ground. Truth be told, she loved fog. Why? Because you never knew what lied in the foggy depths of the woods, seeing as they were always uplisting, and stayed until noon came, and the sun shown through. Thats when the fun of the afternoon began, and the prey were advantageous. She wanted to take her chances here, and she didn't mind being lower ranked at all. She didn't mind anything at all. If this brute wanted to fuck around with her mind, then so be it. She didn't care what she was turned into, except kibble. If she was kibble, she'd bring him down as kibble too.

"Very well...as Aspo...I give you the rank of Guja until you can prove your worth."

"Fair enough." She responded, flickering her eye brows, as his own massive brutal body wrapped the fog around her body, as he circled her timber wolf form, just standing there with nothing but no expression lifted on her mug. She didn't care what this brute tried to do, but she was not going to manipulate her easily, only conclusions came to such. Maybe sometimes she did like to be played around with emotionally, physically, and intelligently. But she wouldn't just come along to someone, and tell them that. She was much too clever.

"Test the elements. I reccomend testing snow before you move on to ice. Try the north rim of my mountain and train your endurance and freeze your soul. Then move on to the south rim to work on nulling pain, agility, and tolorating heat. If you can't handle those tying areas, come back and see me."

"Okay then, Denavo." Aphotia replied, not with one ounce of fear, or scare of pain at all. She wasn't afraid of working to her limits, and wasn't afraid to go past the limit. But telling her that the skys the limit, that was far from believable, when there was footprints on the moon. Shifting her acidic optics from his, she no longer wanted to try and beat him down to her level. She didn't care, he wasn't on her side, she wouldn't on his, but maybe she'd trust his power sooner or later, but now, he didn't believe in her, and she didn't believe in him. It was all squared away.

Looking at the black and white brute in front of her, she could almost imagine everything so far from meeting him that she could remember. Hmm, snide entry. Sly remarks, beginning in a wholesome manner. Great, great, perfectly healthy. Looking at Denavo quite curiously now, Aphotia finally set her move, as she herself did what most alphas did to their newcomers. Aphotia circled around Denavo quietly, taking it in his figure like if it were hers, and she wanted to study it, so she could get a good mental image.

Good fit body, thick bushy tail, nope of that stupid wing crap that most of the all of the alphas had. Good, this was the pack she was looking for. An alpha who didn't expect wings to be a sign of higher power. lifting her snout, to the position of his own, she winked at him, and pulled her tail and ran it across his nose, as she settled down in front of him, wrapping her bushy browning tan tail around her forepaws, watching his eyes for movement, or any sign of action that could trigger on her at any given moment.

Denavo eyed the vixen wearily. She was testing his patience, but he had all the time in the world to spend with his only current subject. She was accepted that should have been enough for her. He had told her what to do next, yet she toyed with him and remained where she was, barely uttering enough words to be considered sentences. Yet she was challenging his authority in a way that he hadn't seen in awhile. It was enough to cause him to stay still until he could think of something more... appropriate seeing as she liked punishment. Was torture to be considered the same as punishment or where they different?

Already narrowed eyes slid closer together as Aphotia gathered enough nerve to circle him like a shark going in for the kill, but he allowed it. If she didn't know who he was or what he was, then she would never be able to respect him. Denavo himself would never submit himself to another wolf unless he felt to be inferior or their equal. To do that he had to know who it was who he'd be following and just glancing upon another does not tell one anything. He let her look, even though he didn't like it, but part of him knew that she needed to take that look.

But she didn't have to test her limits. "Whore," he cursed as her plume flitted across his face. He would have launched himself at her but he did not trust himself to hold back. No one touched him unless he was going to welcome the touch. She was still a stranger and he would not let her get away with that. The liquid fire that fed his amber eyes flared with his anger, sending real flames towards the vixen, surrounding her in a wall of fire.

"Don't touch me. Ever." His voice had dropped from the once silky smoothness into the darkness that crowded his heart. Talons scored the earth and his muscles bunched, ready to launch himself at her if she even thought about removing herself from his circle of flames. He'd sit there and watch her for hours if he had to and she could wait as he slowly drew the circle to a close with her trapped inside.
