6th Year, Beater Group: Slytherin Posts: 198 Member No.: 71 Joined: 16-April 11	Kayla moped around in the common room, she seemed to be doing that a lot these days. Adnocana came slithering up. "Hey baby," she murmured to the snake. "Hold on a second." She transformed into a garden snake, as bright green as her hair. In fact, she and Adnocana looked almost identical, except for their eyes. Kayla's snake eys were much more human and expressive than her beloved pets. Adnocana hissed happily and he and Kayla coiled up contentedly in the armchair. A second year boy came by and nearly sat on them, but a round of intense hissing sent him screaming upstairs to his dormitory. Things were more...simple when Kayla was a snake, she had less cares and worries. She didn't know if it was her snake instincts taking over or if she simply should have been born a snake and there had been some divine mistake along the line. It wouldnt be the first time there'd been one of those. Her best friend Ariel entered into the common room. "Hey," she hissed, before realizing there was no way that Ariel could understand her. --------------------

Her mind was full of stuff, she wasnt sure what kind of stuff, mmaybe so much stuff that she couldnt even separate the stuff. After geting out of her head she looked over to Kayla. Wait, whered she go she thought, looking around -------------------- When Ariel speaks ingreen she is speaking parseltongue, so unless you are a snake or a parselmouth all you hear is sssSSsss

Had she really never tried to talk to Ariel when she was a snake? Undoubtedly, otherwise they would have known this before. --------------------

How had they never known before? Was it just becuase Kayla wasnt a real snake? she looked around at others in the common room. They didn't seem to be able to understand Kayla. She raised her head and smiled. Even fake ones." "Don't let it go to your head you true Slytherin you," Kayla smiled a frightening snake smile. --------------------

She was amazed that she never figured this out before. Could anyone else in her family speak parseltongue? did it run in the family? or was she special? "You always were delightfully arrogant," said Adnocana to Ariel, coiling his tail around Kayla's. "I always did love it so." Casually, Kayla disentangled her tail from her pet's grip. She knew about Adnocana's not so secret affection for her snake form and frankly, Kayla found it weird. She wasn't a real snake after all, but Addy couldn't seem to accept it. "Addy..." she warned, as a sour-puss expression lit up in his eyes. She couldn't take any of that right now. Shifting back to human form, she clutched her clothes to her body, glowering at a nearby gawking fourth year. "God," Kayla muttered as she pulled her pants on, forgoing a shirt in her laziness and settling for just her lacy bra. "It's like he's never seen a snake transform back into a girl without clothes on before." There was no real point in putting clothes on really, all she did was take them off again. And she had nothing to hide. "But really," she said earnestly. "This is amazing.....You'll be able to talk to Addy now...not that he has much to say, but still. Cool. And you'll be able to talk to me and I can still relax and be a snake." Kayla's eyes sparkled. "It's just so...so Slytherin!" she exclaimed, employing the word she now used for all things she found cool. --------------------

It gave her such a feeling of power that no one would be able to understand her. It was so perfect. She was a wonderful pureblood slytherin, and she was given the most wonderful slytherin power. it made sense. Kayla rolled her eyes for the second time in the past few minutes, but with more credibility now that she was in her human form. "Well haven't we just made a marvelous discovery," she remarked, before settling in for a quiet evening. Just her, her pet snake and her best friend the snake whisperer. (OOC: S'ok. Trying to end stuff is always awkward. Look at my awkward ending! points to above words Reiterating the title=always classy.) --------------------
