After Louis had asked her to be his girlfriend, they had walked back to the common room hand in hand, smiling and laughing. Part 1 of the plan was complete- she had Louis wrapped around her finger. Yet something was bothering her. When he had asked, she had felt a small thrill inside her and when he had talked about his aunt she had been genuinely sad for him. Did she actually care about him? No it couldn't be....or could it? No, Louis was just part of the plan to win James' heart for herself...yet a pair of very fine green eyes kept flashing in her mind. Ugh she was so confused! Where was Rose when she needed her?! She would wait up for her. She needed her best friend right now to tell her how she truely felt about the two guys in her life. Someone walked into the dormitory after she had finished getting ready for bed. Could it be Rose??

Rose it was.

The red haired girl walked into the room and couldn't help the giggle that escaped her lips as she walked to her bed and collapsed down on it, grinning like an idiot. It didn't take a genius to figure out who she had been with. It seemed only one boy could make that goofy smile appear on the young Gryffindor's lips. "It's only puppy love, it will fail eventually." she heard the whispered words of gossipers, but she didn't care, she didn't listen. Instead of thinking into the future, all she cared about was living in the moment.

And Scorpius was in that moment. Rose didn't care what other people thought, Scorpius made her smile. That blond haired boy who was supposed to be her mortal enemy, brought a goofy smile to the girls lips, a fussy feeling in her heart. He could make her giggle and bat her eyes like a little school girl. He may be perverted, but he made her laugh, and butterflies to zoom around her tummy.

The grin on her lips told plainly that she had just come from the presence of said boy and was enjoying her day.

She didn't even notice her upset friend.

It was Rose. Finally her best friend had come...but why was she smiling like a little toddler who had gotten a new toy?? What had happened for her today?? SHe walked over to Rose's bed. Her news couldn't wait but first she would ask Rose what had happened to make her so giggly.

"Rose what's happened to make you laugh like a child?!" Vixen asked her.

Rose jumped when her friend spoke, as the oblivious girl hadn't even noticed. A sly grin fell on her lips as she realized how stupid she must look. She tended to come into their room exasperated, not giggly and airy. Normally she was stressing over homework or some idiotic stunt James had pulled. She always seemed on edge, yet all the sudden, her aggression was not there. She didn't look like she was about to start passing and blabbering about her obnoxious cousin. She didn't look like she was about to complain. Instead, she was bubbly. 

Wow, she must have shocked her friend.

With a slight, guilty laugh, rose told, "I was just hanging out with Scorpius." and yes, hanging out was all they had been doing. No snogging had occurred, even if she had wanted to. They had just hung out, an that was enough to turn her into a  giggling idiot.

"Rose I er....I need to tell you something. Well two things actually. Good news first or bad news?" Vixen spoke as if Rose hadn't just revealed that she had been "hanging out" with her enemy.

She really hoped that Rose would pick the good news because she wasn't sure if she had the guts to tell Rose that she had kissed HIM. She sighed. She wasn't sure if she was ready to tell her best friend- someone who knew her better than even her own family. Of course she would tell her but.....not yet. She looked at her best friend. How could she look so...happy when Vixen was a jumble of conflicting emotions?! She would ask her about Scorpius later, but now she had to tell her what had happened earlier that night.

At the sound of Vixen's voice, the smile instantly fell from Rose's lips, a frown replacing it. Concern glittered in the girl's eyes as she looked at her friend, listening to her as she spoke, not saying a thing, giving the girl her undivided attention. That was a main component to their friendship. Listening. Rose may like to be center of attention, she may like to ramble on and complain, but when it came down to it, she would drop anything and everything if her friend was upset and needed help. She would ignore everything in her life and just listen if her friend needed to talk. She would bottle all her emotions up and be a shoulder to cry on if needed. She would  do just about anything for her friend.

Unfortunately for Vixen though, Rose was one of those girls who would much rather hear bad news before she is told good news. Her reasoning is pretty simple. Why get the good news first just to be saddened moments after by the bad news? She thought it was stupid to be brought up only to be torn down, so her friend chose wrong in actually asking which Rose preferred.

"Bad news first, alway bad news first." Rose told, watching her friend with concern, wondering what could have happened to make her friend act as so.

Oh why did Vixen not realize that her best friend would choose bad news first?! They both choose bad news first over good news. She sighed and tried to calm her trembling hands.

"I kissed him Rose. I kissed James. I love him," she said, looking at the floor so that she didn't have to see her best friend's shocked expression. She was so ashamed that she wanted to cry.

It just wasn't a good day for Vixen. That kiss must really have messed up her brain cells because that was the second time that Vixen had been proven wrong at what Rose was going to do. First she hoped Rose would choose good news instead of bad, which she would never do, and then she though that Rose would actually be shocked. Rose wasn't an idiot. She knew Vixen well enough to read her, and it was no surprise to Rose that Vixen had a crush on their friend. Instead of gasping in shock and asking for the details like she would have if she were oblivious, Rose just smacked her friend lightly across the head.

"You wait till he's in a relationship to do so? Way to go!" she says and laughs lightly. She continues on, "He can't stay with Viola forever, she's just another girl. They'll break up eventually and then you have a go at him. If it's really love Vix, you could wait till he gets over Viola to snatch him up." the way she talks about him is as I he is just some random boy, not her cousin, best friend, or the boy Vixen has known since their first year. He was just a random boy.

What was wrong with Vixen today?! She had read Rose wrong twice! Ugh James had messed up her brain....Now she would have to tell Rose about her plan but maybe Rose was right. Maybe she could get James...

"Now good news. I...I have a boyfriend but it's only meant to make James jealous," she said hesitating because Rose could read her like an open book. She sighed, waiting for Rose to start yelling at her for being so selfish.

Rose had laughed slightly at her friends face, before she even realized that her friend wasn't joking or playing some stupid joke. Her best friend was stupid, yeah she would admit that, but never did she think that her friend would be stupid enough to get a boyfriend just to make James Jealous. James had a girlfriend and Rose didn't see them breaking up any time soon, maybe in a few months, so for Vixen to go as far as get a boyfriend....

"What..... The.... Hell?" she spoke quietly, frowning at her friend. She shook her head, as if trying to clear it, as if it would make better sense. "What if he doesn't even like you that much? I know he likes you, but do you really think that it will work? And what about the boy?! What's he going to feel like when you dump him for James! How could you be so stupid?" she asked and threw her arms up in exasperation. Gosh, her friend was an idiot.

Vixen hadn't expected that Rose would take her news that badly, but she should've. They've been friends for three years and Rose had always been the voice of reason in Vixen's schemes. Yet was Rose right about it all? Was she merely being selfish? Well of course she was being selfish but she had to in order to be with the right guy....right? She was even more confused then before she had told her best friend!

"Rose I'm sorry! I just want James, I don't want to hurt anyone, I'm so sorry!" she said with anguish.

Rose sighed in aggravation and fell back to laying on her bed, shaking her head slightly. Her friend.... Gosh. Had she really thought that dating another guy was the way to get James to want her? Vixen made her think of some stupid fan girl at that moment, and it took her a few seconds for her to throw that thought out of her head and then remember that her friend wasn't some fan girl and was instead both of their friend. Another sigh escaped the girls lips and she glanced up at her friend.

"What if it doesn't work? What if he doesn't care? It would all be for nothing, and then people would only get hurt and-" Rose cut herself off with a slight frown. This was her friend. She couldn't get to mad. "Don't get hurt too...."

God Rose was right! Why had Vixen done this?! She regretted not thinking before she rushed into thisvwhole thing. When had Vixen ever thought before making a big decision? Never. She was a spur-of-the-moment kind of girl and acted in the way that any normal girl wouldn't act. Many times she ended up regretting her rashness and after talking with Rose, she knew that she would regret this whole stupid 'let's make James jealous by dating Louis' plan. God was she ever stupid!

"What was I thinking?! He's such a nice guy too, I don't want to hurt him. Rose, what if I actually end up liking him?! What if this was meant to happen? What should I do Rosie?!" she said with tears streaming down her face.

Rose crossed her legs, put her elbows on her knees, and then placed her chin onto her fists. A sigh slipped from the girls lips as she watched her friend, calculating. After a few minutes, Rose sighed again and dropped her hands. "Well..." she said slowly, a frown on her lips. She paused for a few seconds, trying to piece together what she was going to say.

"Maybe you should just continue dating him for a little while. Get to know each other. Don't do anything drastic. Don't lead him on to much. Maybe you will start to like him and you can continue being with him and then you wont care about James any more. Or if not, if you don't like him like that after a few weeks or a month, then break it of." she told and shrugged, as if it were just that simple.

As if it was that simple. Vixen sighed and looked at her best friend. She actually looked happy. Determined to move off the topic as she wasn't one to have deep conversations even with Rose, she decided to find out about Scorpio and her Rose.

"So Rosie what's going on with you? I haven't seen you lately," she said.
