The soft sound of a ticking clock echoed in the foyer of this place. It seemed to wind on forever and ever and ever, as time is known to do. But the second the doors of the castle were pushed open, the clock froze where it was, it's pendulum stopped swinging and it was almost like it was holding it's breath.
The figure that stood on the threshold gazed about himself in a distant manner. He could feel it, one of the thirteen shards. He took one step, then another, and then slowly he looked at the clock, he blinked a bit, time had stopped here, and he wasnt the one to do it, he sighed gently and lifted his hand. He realized now that this time was paying him respects and he couldnt help but smile lightly, at least those who should know them, knew them....
"Thank you," he stated softly to the clock, "But it's unnecessary to do that at this moment...." as he spoke to the clock, it resumed it's ticking, softly, almost politely as the Time Lord glanced around himself.
"If I was a shard, where would I be?" he murmured to himself. His watchface shimmered a gentle shade of blue this time, faint, and so Aeon started up the steps.
"This place is entierly too dusty...." he murmured as he walked.
