REGISTRATION GUIDELINES:1. You MUST register on this site with your username as your character's first middle and last name in all caps. Should you fail to do so or forget, you may private message an administrator asking to change it and what name you would like to have yours changed to. Should you fail to private message an admin and your application is accepted, the administrator will change your name to the name of the character whose app was approved.
2. You may not post ANYWHERE in character until your character is approved by an administrator.
3. You may have as many characters as you think you can handle, however there are a couple of guidelines regarding multiple characters:
- You must have five strong in-character posts with your most recent character in order to create a new one.
- You may also not have more than three student characters at a time, unless granted special permission from an admin.
- If your first two characters were students, your third character may not be a student.
- If there are any questions about allowable character creation, just ask an admin.
GENERAL SITE RULES (THEY'RE MORE LIKE GUIDELINES):
1. HSH is an unrated site, however we do consider ourselves to be classy and decent people. Explicit scenes of sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll are allowed, but if you're going to post a potentially offensive or racy thread please put a warning in the title like [EXPLICIT] or [NC-17]; just something to ensure that if someone doesn't care to blush, they can shy away from your thread.
2. While we try not to monitor too much the "literate-ness" of your posts, please try your best to make them effort and point-filled. "the fat cat walked down the street. POST!" is not exactly high quality. If we see too often that your posts aren't quite matching the quality of the rest of the site, we'll probably pm you and make some polite and pleasant suggestions in our most diplomatic voices.
3. Do not God-Mode, unless the thread is a joke thread in the Games forum, or your member has given you permission to god-mode their character.
4. Members are expected to post at least once a week. If they are unable to meet this goal, or are swamped under schoolwork or life, they may make a note to check-in in the absences or general chat forums.
5. Role-call will be taken as the admins see fit, and a week will be given for the members to respond. If a member does not respond and has not posted in the absences forum, their character will be removed as the administrators see fit.
6. We ask that each character post at least three-five times a month. If a character is not meeting that quota, the player may be asked to evaluate whether they can juggle as many characters as they have.
7. Don't be douchebags. Self-explanatory. If there is, for any ungodly reason, ooc drama please work it out amongst yourself. We're all big kids here, and you really don't need to drag admins into your business like we're goddamned Pre-K teachers, right?
8. We do request that, since there may be some graphic material on this board, our members only be 18+. If you are not 18+ and we just can't tell, we don't really care, just please don't tell us. It can be really awkward engaging in posts of a certain nature with underage kids.
rules can be added at any time by the administrators. if a rule is added an announcement will be made.
