[ THE INTERESTS ]:her daddy, her brothers, her mama, animals, the sun, flowers, warm things (the oven when you open it to pull out baking, electric blankets, the sun after being in the air conditioner), books, especially adventure books and trashy romance novels, overalls, shorts and comfy clothing, secretly loves obscenely girly stuff from time to time. her bright red roller skates with the rainbows on the sides.
[ THE HOBBIES ]:Lucy's life is primarily dedicated to dance, and as such a large number of her hobbies relate to dance, dance, and more dance. She spends hours in class every week studying dance in studio classes, and even more time practicing and wearing her feet down. Lucy is extremely passionate about dance, and as such devotes an obnoxious amount of time to practice as she wants more than anything to shine in the incredibly competitive dance program at Harriman.

Besides dance, Lucy keeps herself busy. She's an avid rollerskater, and works at a drive-in diner as a waitress on wheels. It's not the best job ever, but Lu enjoys it because she gets to wear a disgustingly adorable frilly apron, and keeps in rollerskating shape by spending at least fifteen hours a week getting paid to skate. Lucy is also something of a reader, and since she rarely has homework that involves reading and writing she has a lot of spare time to read books. Her favorite kind of books are adventure books; she adores Gullivers Travels, Jules Verne's suite, and basically anything exciting and interesting. In her spare time, Lucy works as an RA for housing in the Bruce Hall dorms.

[ THE DISLIKES ]: swearing, when people refer to her as "Jack's little sister", when people treat her like she's still a little kid, when people treat her like she's a snob, overbearing romantic advances, people who treat her like she's just a pretty face, modern dance (it can so often be stupid and stupidly difficult), constricting clothing or tight spaces, clowns (they're downright evil!), rude people
[ THE DREAM ]: Lucy wants more than anything to be the prima ballerina at a respectable and recognized company, and eventually set up a dance school of her own.
[ THE NIGHTMARE ]: Getting the middle-of-the-night phone call about her brother's death or capture.
[ THE THREE WISHES ]:1. a pet bear
2. rollerskates with wings
3. to be a member of a prominent company; not straight for the prima spot, as she wants the satisfaction of earning that
[THE PERSONALITY]:Lucy is, in total summation, sugary sweet. She's not an air-head, but she really is rather naive and can often be fairly starry-eyed. More often than not she is sweet to a fault, and can sometimes be very easily taken advantage of by the wrong kind of person. Because of her naivety Lucy tends to keep only a few people close; she has a lot of friends, but only a few people with whom she shares any sort of intimate details, as she knows she can't trust herself to be a good judge of character.

A bit of a perfectionist, Lucy has a tendency to obsess and will spend hours on a small fragment of a dance number or a project for church or a club until it is just the way she wants it to be. Caring to a fault, everyone's troubles are her business and she tries her damnedest to help however she can. She devotes herself to clubs and volunteer work when she's not working or dancing. The life of a dance student is busy enough, but Lucy has always been the sort of person that isn't happy unless she's running around with a dozen different commitments.

Growing up with two older brothers, you can't exactly be the sort of person that's prepared to fade into the background. Though Lucy does a good job of maintaining a dainty and ladylike attitude thanks to years of cotillion training, her rougher side slips out every now and then. As a child she was something of a tomboy, and preferred to run around with her elder brothers, Peter and Jack, than sit at home playing tea party. She was especially close with Jack, due to their being only a year apart in age. For all intents and purposes, Lu was a little boy until she hit about twelve. That was when Blythe decided that little girls needed to be little girls, and certainly couldn't be best friends with their older brothers. Jack and Lucy were devastated to say the least as she was forced into dresses and tights and tea parties. As she was forcing her hair into curlers and learning manner systems that had long been antiquated, Lucy forced herself into a more reserved persona after one too many times of being viciously nagged at by her mother. Since she was fourteen Lucy has been the model of daughterly perfection, smiling, always saying please and thank you, speaking at the appropriate time and staying quite at the others. All of that energy put into behavior can really add up over the years, and she's reaching a breaking point.

[ THE PLAYED-BY ]: Teegarden, Aimee.

[ THE APPEARANCE]: If you were to sum up Lucy's looks, the only way to go would be girl next door. She takes meticulous care of her long blonde locks, never dyeing her hair and avoiding hot tools like the plague. As such she has a long golden mane of natural hair of which she is justly proud. On most days she lets it hang long and tousled, though she will occasionally style it in curls and whatnot depending on her mood. At work, she keeps her hair in a long ponytail reaching between her shoulder blades so that it stays out of people's food, and wears a bright red ribbon in it.

Where facial features are concerned, Lucy's are precious. She has a round child-like face with full cheeks flushed just slightly with colour. A sloped button nose rests at its center, with a slight dusting of freckles across the bridge more prominent when assisted by the summer sun. Her lips are full, but symmetrical, and curve into a baby-doll precious smile over well-cared-for teeth. And being a Texas girl, Lucy spends as much time as possible and, in the months where the sun is out she is sunkissed and glowing golden. During the winter months she becomes a little more fair-skinned, and she doesn't care for it as she considers herself pasty.

As far as her body, Lucy keeps herself in good shape. She has pretty good genes on her mother and father's side, but she prefers not to leave it to genetics. Being a dance student, Lucy has a dancer's body: thin, long-muscled with small breasts and graceful but powerful limbs. Because of her frequent rollerblading she keeps her muscles working well, and her thighs are particularly built up from frequent use. Her stomach has the tiniest bit of pudge on it, but Lucy doesn't tend to fret. She knows she's good looking enough, though she doesn't particularly care, and everyone has a little flab to keep their organs warm.

[ THE PARENTS ]: Blythe Winnifred Potter, 47, homemaker. Benjamin Walter Potter, 53, high-profile lawyer.
[ THE SIBLINGS ]: Jack Walter Potter, 20, studying at Harriman.
Benjamin James Potter, 26, currently fighting in Vietnam.
Peter Louis Potter, 14, living at home.
[ OTHER IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIPS ]: [best friend, will add to app once that plotting happens]

[ PERSONAL HISTORY ]: When Blythe and Jack Potter had their third child, a little girl, they couldn't be more surprised. After all, the doctor had assured them they'd be adding a third boy to their clan. So when that little girl popped out screaming and writhing into the world, they were left at a bit of a loss. They were prepared for a Peter Louis, not a Lucy Mae, but they made do. Too late to re-paint the nursery, Lucy spent her first few years in a field of blue and little boy motifs. Not that she ever cared or registered. Lucy didn't care for the life of a little girl, following her older brothers around like a lost little duckling. Ben was less than encouraging, often complaining that his thumb-sucking little sister followed them everywhere, but Jack always swatted him down. At that age, Blythe was suspicious, but allowed Lucy her tomboyish ways figuring it was something that she would eventually grow out of. Lucy felt awkward and out of place at the little girls' birthday parties from her class, always feeling uncomfortable in the pinafores and petticoats she was forced into. More than once Lucy was scolded for ripping her skirts or coming home in mud, but she didn't let that stop her. The other problem was her certain... feelings. Little boys Lucy was friends with, but the idea of cooties didn't even begin to cover her feelings towards them where romance were concerned. Where other girls her age were giggling over the cute boys in their classes, "blech" was the only word to come to mind in Lucy's brain. And then in sixth grade, there was Hattie Williams. Hattie was sweet, and precious, and Lucy wasn't sure why but she felt this compelling want, no, need to be her friend. Hattie had a full head of long, thick red hair, and big ol' blue eyes set right on a perfect round face. She looked like an angel, and Lucy didn't know how to approach her. After all, what would a girl like Hattie want to do with a boyish girl like Lu? In the end, it was Hattie that approached Lucy, coming up to her on the playground one day during recess. Hattie held her hand out to Lucy, and the two girls spend the entirety of recess together. Lucy was sure she'd found her new best friend, yet she still felt peculiar, even sick, around Hattie. Their mothers arranged play dates and sleepovers, and Lucy thought she'd finally found a girl she could relate to in Hattie. Then there was that fateful night, an evening in late April. She and Hattie were in Lucy's bed, laying down and giggling together. In a brief moment of silence, Hattie leaned forward and closed her eyes, pressing her lips to Lucy's. At first Lucy was confused, but it was the best feeling in the world. The sick feeling she'd felt around Hattie turned into butterflies, and she closed her eyes too, letting the other girl press her smooth lips to her own. This continued for the next few weeks. It was completely innocent, and Hattie almost always initiated. She'd grab Lucy's hand when they were alone, or kiss her on the cheek. It was the happiest Lucy had been in her life; it was like something had been missing, and Hattie had known precisely how to fill that empty space. Of course in the way of most good things, it was too good to last. One evening, as Hattie and Lucy were at a sleep over, Hattie's mother walked in as they leaned in to kiss each other. Mrs Williams was furious, accusing Lucy of being a bad influence. Blythe and Walter did, of course, deny all of it, refusing to believe that their daughter would engage in such morally low behaviors and accusing Mrs. Williams of being a liar. Hattie and Lucy were forced to split, and within the year Hattie and her family moved away. Lucy never heard what had happened to her, and thinks of her to this day.

It wasn't until she was thirteen that Lucy was forced to stop her tomboyish habits. Blythe forced Walter to sit their daughter down and give her a good talking-to, considering her mother's words fell on long-deaf ears. Lucy was the picture of repentance as her father scolded her for her behavior, noting the responsibility she had to that family and to him as his daughter. She begrudgingly agreed for her father's sake, making the transformation from rough and tumble tomboy to coiffed young lady almost overnight. Immediately she was forced into training for cotillion, a lengthy and arduous debutante process common in the rich communities of Texas. Instead of baseball and scraped knees she turned to ballet, the only part of her new life that she actually enjoyed. Ballet was her outlet, the only way for her to release the tension she felt from leading what was in her opinion a double life. Lucy began devoting hours a day to her studies in ballet, and quickly accelerated through the program despite her late start. By age fifteen she'd starred as Clara in the Nutcracker three times, as well as playing a considerable number of other roles both major and minor.

High school passed in a blur of commitments. Lucy, now devoted to maintaining the persona of perfect daughter that so thrilled her parents, was committed to about a thousand different clubs. National Honor Society, Student Council, Homecoming Court; you name it, she was on it. At fifteen, the only thing that seemed to separate her from her peers was romantic interests. She'd been approached by boys before, sure, but she's used the typical excuses. However more and more as she grew older was her aversion to dating causing her to stick up like a sore thumb, and as her mother began to mention that she ought to find a date, Lucy decided to go out and look for one. Scotty Johns was in her home ec class, and a nice enough guy. It was her sophomore year and homecoming was coming up, and he'd asked her to the dance. Initially she'd said no, she'd just planned to go stag, but her mother would have none of that. So Lucy approached Scotty, and agreed to go with him, and the pair dated for around two years. In their Senior year of high school, Scotty was in a horrible car crash, and fell into a coma for three days. When he finally came out of the coma, he broke thing off with Lucy, refusing to even talk to her. While not exactly broken-hearted at the relationship being over, Lucy was upset that Scott had cut her out of his life entirely. He'd been one of her best friends, and now, for reasons he wouldn't explain, he would't even speak to her. After that the rest of Lucy's year past in a blur, ignoring her social life in favor of preparing for auditions for universities.

Her Junior year, as Jack was preparing to graduate, Lucy had made up her mind about college. Harriman University in New York had the most competitive dance program around, an she absolutely had her heart set on it. Her parents were skeptical; after all, New York was very far away, and it seemed improper for a young lady to travel that far for school on her own. They agreed to allow her to attend the school, but on the condition that her older brother attend as well. It was no difficult feat convincing Jack to apply. University at almost literally the other end of the country from his nagging parents? He couldn't say yes any faster! Naturally, with his grades, Jack was accepted. Lucy devoted the next year to getting accepted into their dance program, studying and working her feet into bloody stumps. When auditions rolled around in spring, her hard work paid off, landing her acceptance to the extremely grueling dance program. And the rest is, as they say, history. She's only in her second year in the program, but she's proven to be a promising student, dedicated and competitive. Lucy has been just as active in college as she was in high school, and is eager to be starting this year as an RA at Bruce Hall Dorms. But the thin veneer of normalcy that she's so painstakingly upheld since she was thirteen is beginning to crack, and it's only a matter of time before her double life folds in on itself.
