Called the PS2's main platformers, along with Sly Cooper, these series have been very popular, spawning great reviews and more installments. Ratchet and Clank holds a classic duo, the hotshot, fighter, and likeable Ratchet and the cautious, intelligent, and slightly condenscending Clank. With original and destructive weapons, coupled with a charming series, this series have spawned more installments than Jack and daxter, but quanity may not equal quaility.

Jak and Daxter have a more serious titular charecter, ie. Jak, while Daxter is a wisecracking Ottsel{fusion of weasel and otter}. This is not to say Jak is not funny in his own right, as his slightly sarcastic and quiet humor may be for the more serious crowd. This series holds a more open world than the other series, and has a more magical setting as well. It was also a recordbreaking game, with such records given by Guniness like First Seamless 3D World in a Console Game, Most sucessful Single Format series{it has been only on the PS2, as Daxter is a spin-off}, Largest Number of Cutscences in a Platform Game, and 4 other records.

Both series contain refrences to each other and you can even play as Jak in Ratchet Deadlocked and Ratchet in Jak X. But which is better?

Jak and Daxter has been out longer than Ratchet and Clank by ONE YEAR.

That's true. "Eco" is dorkier than blowing up stuff with guns!

I liked Jak more, but Ratchet has some serious weapons on him.
