4 years isn't a generation gap. 10 years is.

But by that logic, everyone is one generation.

I'm 81 and this generation.
I'm 77, therefore the same generation.
I'm 73, so I'm in the same generation as the 77 year old.
And it goes on until some guy is like "I'm 13, so I'm in the same generation as the 17 year old who is in the same generation as..."

There has to be a cut off somewhere.

And CBS is wrong. We are the Me Generation. I've had multiple teachers tell me so.

Actually I dont think that a generation can be defined within the realms of time at all. To me a generation is a group of people who have watched the same Cartoons as they grew acoustemed to the world which they had inherited from their precedors.

To me a generation is a society as a whole, during times of despair and prosperity.

The Four Generations:
Mature- World War old (your grandpa/ma) they hate noise, change and you kids on their lawns. Their role models are older than time.
Baby Boomers - Kids of the Matures (Yo mama) they are the majority of the world. The presidents, the company bosses, they are the adults. They had role models like Ghandi, Martin Luther King, John F. Kennedy
GenX - Me (the majority of the EF admins) they are the cynics, the sarcastics, the question everything/authority crowd. No role models (you have to earn our respect)
Millennials - All of you (except Solomon because nobody knows his age. /Grano's riding the edge) They are the kiddies. The Net generation. Raised by technology. Also known as the Trophy generation, because "no one loses" and everyone gets a "Thanks for Participating" trophy.

These are the four generations.

I don't fit that scale; I may have been raised with tech but I'm pretty cynical and I do question athority a lot.

'I'm going to die; if this wasteland doesn't kill me the Avatars will. I'm the last Technomancer; as I go so goes my culture.' The thought was serene, not fearful at all. If he was going to die, he'd die fighting; he'd make sure that the Technomancers were never forgotten. Morshan Sakru: The Last Technomancer would be a name all Avatar would shutter at the thought of for etenity. Morshan now knew what happened to a man who had nothing left to live for but vengence: he became a monster.

Generations are based on the time you were born or often when you were a teenager. It doesn't go off familial generations because then you'd have 80 year old grandparents (who are from the mature generation or something like that) as well as 30 year old grandparents (who are more likely to be from the MTV generation or the one prior to that (I've forgotten half the dates))

Treach fails.

That last generation, which is the vast majority of posters here is known as the Me Generation. Everyone looks out for themselves and wants everything.

Oh Surfer, so full of loss. Remember who your dealing with.
