I see. But yeah, I believe my mom's friend's daughter in Australia has it really really bad. =[ I'm not anorexic, I just have super metabolism, granting me the ability to gain 14 pounds in 3 years.

Ok, anorexia is serious. Left untreated, it can lead to other issues of illness or even death. What happens, is the body no longer gets the nutrition it needs. The result is the burning of fat as a fuel storage source. This happens over time, but eventually the fat stores ware out. What does the body then use as it's fuel source? Protien. The muscles of the body begin to slowly ween away. When the muscle mass gets too low, then the body must find it's energy source elsewhere. It turns to the organs. At this point, it's too late to really do anything. That is a big reason why there is a 6% mortality rate. They literally starve themselves.

Now, when seeking professional help, the patient will then be either hospitalized or go to a special facility which deals with these sort of issues. The patient is then usually on some sort of award system based on how much food they ate. If the patient does not eat, a feeding tube is placed and the patient is force fed. Trust me, one time having a nasogastric tube inserted down your nose, you won't want that to happen again. This continues until the patient is healthy and has an understanding of why anorexia is so dangerous.

Unfortunately, there is a high incidence of reoccurring anorexia. With most people who suffer from the disease, they never will view themselves as anything other than fat. They usually have to live with that fact soley on the knowledge that if they continue to not eat, it can be deadly.

Grano: Her parents are complete idiots. They've been force-feeding her, and when she throws it all up, they make her eat that, which is vomited soon after.

They've been yelling at her for it, not supportive at all.

Can't these people read?

And now she says she has some sort of worm inside her, caused by starvation.

Thoughts, Grano?
