As your new Head Administrator I feel the need to bring forth a few issues that have plagued this site. First off let me just say that I'm very happy to be in the position I'm in, and will use this new found power for the benefit of Haven. Remember if anyone has questions, comments, or concerns you are more than welcome to PM at any time.
Secondly I would also like to extend a personal thank you for the team of Administrators that have all done a fantastic Job in keeping this site going. You have my thanks.
Finally, before I start to get more detailed on the issues that I feel need to be addressed, I think that is essential that we all play a part in the improvement of this Admins, and Members alike. This seems kind of vague right now, but I'll go into more detail a little later. The fact of the matter is that making this site better is not possible without your help....all of your help. I can't do this alone. So You have to ask yourself do I really want to make this place one of the most sought after places on the internet?

This is why it's good you're running this, you rally the troops like no other, for the right cause and under the right banner. Carry on.

Thanks.

Anyways, the problem is I cant just press a few buttons to have this site be wonderful, if I could I would, but sadly I can't. I can rally on, and on, I can make new categories, and I can even make a change to the look of the site. All that considered it will mean very little if I do not have the cooperation, and complete understanding of the members.

Let me ask you all something. What makes a great site? Is it the way it looks? The Idea behind the site? The team of Admins? All of those are wrong. While the things mentioned do have their place in making a site great, they do not compare to the single most important aspect of a great site. The members.

The members of the site are the very fabric of what makes up this, and any other site. The collection of people determine the flow of this site, not me, not phanalx not any one person, but all of us. Keep that in mind as I continue to address some issues.

Issue #1: BORING!

No offense to any of you, but this site is lacking the excitement it once had. I think that this is because most of our topics are devoted to random drabble, the latest CBUB gossip, and who's being suspended. While those things are fun to see everyonce in a while they are not something to bas a site off of. What made this site so good, and kept people intrested was the fact that debates use to be the focal point of this site, not seeing who the most random person was. Also, I'm not calling for the end of all things fun. I'm calling for an end to all things pointless. I believe that we need to go back to the old ways so to speak. As I have said before we can't make this happen with out everyone contributing. I would like to encourage ALL of you to try to spark a debate. You know what I mean. Post around in the history, and sports sections, return to the fight section (which have been ignored for the most part), and create an RP that keeps people looking at the clock so they can rush home, and get on their computer to see what will happen next. Heck even chit chat can be used for better purposes. Be creative.

If I may, a Treach RP alwyas gets people excited. It isn't much but it'd be a start.

Honestly? Renovation would help. Hell, renovation isn't extreme enough. DELETE EVERYTHING. Then rebuild it. Make sure that people keep the random and RP'ing in the Random and RP section. Delete all posts and after a certain number of infringements, suspend them for a day or two until they realize where to post RP'ing and Random thoughts. Don't have it so cluttered. Make it a forum, not some place to think of making comics (IE Haven Productions).

I'll have to convince him. It shouldn't be hard but still... You have my full support not that it counts for much. Tell me what you want me to do and I'll do what I can.

I like the haven productions idea. If people followed through with it, I think it would be pretty interesting. Also, I feel that a complete site deletion is unnecessary. Haven is like a building. We have to rebuild the top floors the rest of the building is good. However, I do agree that we need stop the excessive randomness, and the RPing in the non-RP zones.

Haven Comics (if ever completed) could bring some more people into here witch would solve our member needy problem. I do think we need to get serious on this Rping thing though. I'm tired of talking to people and then they begin to rp to prove a point. Its quite immature.

Okay, but I need Grano back and I need Trech. I don't want to be the one to take full credit on this thing. I don't want to do it by myself. I'll get it going as best I can though.
