| Interesting little personality test I found from a novel I read:
"There is a river with a bridge over it, and a WIFE and her HUSBAND live in a house on one side. The WIFE has a LOVER who lives on the other side of the river, and the only way to get from one side of the river to the other is to walk across the bridge or to ask the BOATMAN to take you.
One day, the HUSBAND tell his WIFE that he has to be gone all night to handle some business in a faraway town. The WIFE pleads with him to take her with him because she knows if she doesn't she will be infaithfull with him. The HUSBAND absolutely refuses to take her because she will only be in the way of his important business.
So the HUSBAND goes alone. When he is gone the WIFE goes over the bridge and stays with her LOVER. The night passes, and dawn is almost up when the WIFE leaves because she must get back to her own house before her HUSBAND gets home. She starts to cross the bridge but sees an ASSASAIN waiting for her on the other side, and she knows if she tries to cross, the ASSASAIN will murder her. In terror, she runs across the river and asks the BOATMAN to take her across the river, but he wants fifty cents. She has no money so he refuses to take her.
The WIFE runs back to her LOVER's house and explains to him what her predicament is and asks him for fifty cents to pay the BOATMAN. The lover refuses, telling her it's her own fault for getting into the situation. As dawn comes up, the wife is nearly out of her mind and decides to dash across the bridge. When she comes face to face with the ASSASAIN, he takes out a large knife and stabs her until she is dead.
List WIFE, BOATMAN, ASSASAIN, LOVER, HUSBAND in order of who you think is the most responsible for the WIFE's death. "
Now, the order in which you put them in will reveal what you find most important in life. Kinky, huh?
Personally I thought it got me wrong, but let's see what everyone else gets.

Assasin. Lover. Wife. Husband. Boatman.

| Thinking about it about, I'd say:
ASSASAIN, HUSBAND, WIFE, LOVER , BOATMAN
So what do I find most important in life?

| Here's the key to this.
Lover = sex
Wife = fun (fun could also mean contentment)
Assassin = money
Boatman = magic (magic could also mean luck)
Husband = love
Each of the characters is a symbol for one aspect in your life, it reveals what's most important to you in your life. Therefore if you thought that the lover was the most responsible then sex is the most important thing in your life. If you thought that the wife was second most responsible then fun is the second most important thing in your life and so on.
It got me totally wrong.

| Surprisingly it wasn't too far off for me, although how I view things had nothing to do with my order.
In the end I reasoned as follows:
Assassin: physically killed her so he is the most responsible.
Husband: why would an assassin actually be there in the first place? The most likely answer (motive, attempted alibi etc) is the husband.
Wife: Admitted, if she had not had the affair in the first place then she may not have been killed.
Lover: He's certainly a b*stard when it comes to how he treated the wife, but he apart from that he can't really be blamed.
Boatman: He did not know what was happening and rules are rules, so is not responsible at all for her death.

I was waiting for everyone to get a chance. >.<

Oh, then this test is complete and utter bull.
I chose the assassin as the most responsible because he killed her.

| WIFE, ASSASSIN, HUSBAND, LOVER, BOATMAN
And also, the test is BS, I chose the wife because of her infidelity, meaning I think it's wrong... So why would I find that, in essence, infidelity is the most important thing? FAIL!!!!

| Shouldn't it be backwards?
The last one should be more important, since we find it the least responsible.

I've got the assassin as mine too. Ah well.
|Posted by: Darkender Jun 7 2009, 01:22 AM|
Yea. I was thinking that too...
|Posted by: Bloody_Freak Jun 7 2009, 04:44 PM|
Me too, but once again, it's BS. Just because I think the boatman is the least responsible doesn't mean I think luck is the most important thing, let alone that I believe in it. This test fails horribly.

I picked the Boatman last cause he was just doing his job.
The assasin literally killed her, but that doesn't say anything about myself.
Sorry Bass, but I disagree with all the choices....

|Wife,Lover,Assiasan,Boatman, and husband!|
|Posted by: beast93boy Jun 8 2009, 03:51 AM|
| Assassin, Lover, Boatman, Wife, Husband.
Did the husband hire the assassin? It's not in the story, and if he did, that changes the order.
