Ever get tired of the crazy religious cultists? Not talking about all religious people, just the nutty sects of Christianity that run Jesus Camps and tell us that God hates fags?

Oh yeah, we get those guys all the time in the Bible Belt. Especially Fred Phelps himself, he goes everywhere that usually had some sort of natural disaster and huge crime and preaches how God cursed that nation due to homosexuality, blah blah blah.

Yeah the Westboro Baptist Church are the biggest assholes you'll ever see.

Yes. However, I have some Christian friends who are not like that even though they tell me I will go to hell and such. (Lol, I do not care though.)

Personally?

I could really care less about what people are doing on the other side of the world. However, I think that if enough damage is caused intervention may be neccesary

America as a whole?

I'd have to say that most americans would like to see western democratic views spread throughout the world.

Our Goverment?

They don't care about democracy.

Actually, I take that back. I think that a democracy is the best kind of goverment, not perfect but very good. Now, I for one do not believe that America should force its views on anyother unless it is causing great harm.

Money. When actors on these shows, Charlie Sheen for example, get paid 27 million dollars per episode and the program isn't making the network enough money from it's advertisements then yeah, the show gets cancelled.

This is cool!

1. What do you guys think of the following shows:

Scrubs V Friends
Charmed V Buffy
Mentalist V Psych
House V Grey's Anatomy

2. Name some popular food and drink where you are from

3. For the older ones, what's the economy like over there at the moment? i.e. redundancies, pension holidays, recession, mortgages etc (I can tell you it is pretty bad here)

4. Favorite cartoons over there?

5. What's big at the cinema right now?

6. True views on the Westboro Baptist Church, how popular are they in America?

7. True views on Scientology? (I've had a huge church open in my home town in UK... so far haven't spoken to one yet, but they seem to be getting more followers every week!)

8. Any singers/bands you would recommend I check out? Probably best if they are not well known or they would have already been over here.

9. Who has been to UK/Europe, and what did you think of it here?

10. What's your favorite film?

Neither

Psych
House, but I haven't watched it much

2: Fried Chicken and iced tea.

3: As I do get into politics, I'll answer this anyway. People are being let go at a high rate, but they were still much, much higher during the great depression and even in parts of the 90's. Incomes have decreased, and we're in a recession, but it's still fixable.

4: Not much new good ones. Mostly on Kid's WB. I barely watch any.

We're the US!

We don't lose!

French & Indian War: We weren't even the USA yet, but we still kicked butt.

Revolutionary War: That was all us. We owned the most powerful army.

War of 1812: Repeat of the Revolution.

Civil War: We won.

Spanish American War: Send Spain back where they came from!

World War I: You guys needed help. We came, we saw, we dominated.

World War II: You guys were getting your butt kicked. We came, we yawned, we conquered.

Korean War: We weren't really there....

Vietnam: ...... Communism lost in the long run... We didn't lose...exactly....

Cold War: Communists lost. We won. There can only be one superpower!!

War on Terror: Not done....

See, we don't lose. biggrin.gif

Well I guess we Americans don't want our pride, valor, and honor to be shattered.

LOL, could say that either way.

Actually, on a more serious note... End of World War II, the atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and between 200000 and 400000 were killed. How do you view this in America? A necessary evil to end the war? An atrocity that could have been avoided? I'm curioius as to your opinions.

I wonder if there's divided views on it.

I'm not even sure how we view it. Never heard it discussed.

A retardedly hard decision to make. So many innocent people killed. Sad really. It worked though. I believe the overall of Americans believe it was a necessary evil. I couldn't have done it as a president. Too many innocent lives. I'm a pacifist I guess. Probably wouldn't make a good president.

The President had two choices.

Invade Japan by land. This would've been a lot more difficult, and many more people would've died, both Japanese & Americans. (judging by how difficult taking the smaller islands were)

Drop the Atomic Bomb.

I really can't blame him.

Doesn't make the decision any easier. You have to live with taking the lives of damn near entire cities.
