Wingman, why no liking of gay marriage or abortion?

Without getting into a revolving fight and shouting match over ideals, I just say this:
I'm gonna go out tonight, to Illinois or wherever the hell you said you live, and kill you. In the morning, I'll get away with it. No sentence. No jail. No penalty. Just because I said, "Silversurfer092, I don't like you, and what I like is more important than whether you get to live or not, and have a long, fun filled life."
That's basically what abortion is: legalized, state and government supported murder. Of children, no less! How bout I go to a preschool and kill a few kids. Will I get away with it? HELL NO!!! But tens of thousands of women who have one night stands and get pregnent have an easy way out of this dumb choice they made by killing a living, breathing child within them. But what the hell do I know? I'm only 15.

Fine, no revolving fight. A civilized argument. I think that if a girl gets raped, she shouldn't have to keep the baby. A baby completely changes the life of a woman. Should she have to put up with it if it was forced upon her? And what about gay marriages? I have no idea how anyone can be against it. Do they gain something from it?

You can't spell your own moniker and you've already said two bad things about me and hamboy. If Phalanx Blood doesn't like it, fine. I'll back off. But I could care less about you.

EDIT: Oh, and we are already Admins, so what is he going to get grief about?

Should she have to put up with it if it was forced upon her? And what about gay marriages? I have no idea how anyone can be against it. Do they gain something from it?

In matters of rape, the girl should have the child and give it up for adoption. There are many eager parents to be willng to take such a child. I think that if you refuse to carry a child to term because of "the discomfort" or "child pains", then that woman, regardless of the circumstances, is extremely selfish. My mother has often told me that if she was going to die when she had me, she wouldn't have hesitated a bit. I wish all mothers had her guts. And the numbers for child deaths or birth complications in the U.S. are ridiculously low, so that shouldn't be a factor against having a child. Would that girl feel good living the rest of her life with the realization that she murdered, MURDERED, her unborn child when she had a perfectly viable course of action, adoption, to take?

And on gay marriage. My belief stems largely from my mom's views. She is a retired psycologist with a Masters degree, and practiced for about 15 years before quitting. Disregarding the Biblical viewpoint, where God repeatedly condemns gay marriage and sex as on of the worst sins, I think that gay behavior is unnatural. I'm not a gay hater, and I happen to know a few openly gay friends quite well. A boy who grows up to be gay typically did not have a father figure in his life, courtesy, once again, of the feminists of our culture, who make women think they can have sex whenever they want, and then raise a child without two parents. Two parents is a vital part of the way God created the world, and the absense of a father, in many cases, coupled to a sheltering by the mother from other father figures, leads to the boy not coming into contact with the male characteristics and traits that he would otherwise witness, learn, and emulate from from his father. Also, people in today's culture believe that, "whatever you feel, do it". Well, once again, if I suddenly feel, "Hey, I really have an urge to go kill some people for the fun of it!", I can't act on that urge. I repress it, because I know it to be wrong. But the decay of Christian values and morals in the culture today don't stop that behavior, and actually encourage it. "Well, just because I feel a certain way, NO ONE has the right to tell me otherwise", is the way they think. Well, that's just stupid. Se my above argument. And with training and counciling, usually by Christians, many gays and lesbians have reverted to normal behavior and now live happy, married lives with people of the opposite sex.

Silversurfer, I'm not going to hate you if we have differing opinions, because this isn't a politics site, it's a comic and sci-fi site. But I'm putting my opinion out there for all to see, just as you have. Take from it what you like.

Of course. I never thought of hating you because of differing views. Also, I'm pretty sure that God says that homosexuality isn't a sin, it's just frowned upon in the New Testament. Maybe wrong, but maybe right.

I sent a PM back it is weird you didn't get it.

Indeed. Okay, well screw the PM's. I'm going for it. So if you get kicked off, remember Guardian Of Nesh. U before the A. Okay, I'll give you a few minutes to check this. By few, I literally mean a few. Few=two.

I"m back and it's fixed but I don't have Admin status anymore, oh, well if you could get around to fixing that somehow. I can wait.

Should be fixed now.

thanks, what do you say to inviting darth drizze over here? I thought I'd ask because I consider you a senior admin.

It's not because they're big SW fans, it's because they're douchebags. Ruinus refuses to say that Darth Vader CAN'T LOSE. Darth Drizzle argues over everything and is the same as Ruinus. And no one better bring Rei-Kai. And go ahead, bring them over. First sign I see of them being douche fanboys, I ban them.

I already have it. And I refuse to go in there. It's for people who can't stand to see their favorite losing. The safe heaven will do nothing except let them glorify their favorite to another. The fav still lost, which means nothing anyways. Record means nothing.

You're missing a lot. He's a douchebag who refuses to take anyone else's opinion into consideration. He's incredibly arrogant and ignorant. He's a major Thanos and DBZ fanboy. He will take this thing over, whether he's an admin or not. He'll make everyone use the feat system and if you don't, well, then your argument is moot to him. But hey, your argument is moot to him anyways.

I've actually maneged to beat Rai-Kai using his own feat system against him. It felt good.

Thanks for agreeing with me on gay marriage, I appreciate the support. Let's just not talk about it too much here, since some people are sensitive about it and they might be liable to ban us if we say too much.

Also, I'm glad you find enjoyment in Mathamatics, because I sure as hell don't. It's my least favorite and most difficult subject, and I've had a lot of problems with it.

I'm passionate about my standing on abortion and gay marriage and I disagree with both of you, but if anyone bans you for saying what you think, I'll just un-ban you. That goes against the Constitution and I'll see none of that.

Eating problems? Probably. I'll go from never stop eating to never eating. But I run all day everyday. If I'm not physically running, you can bet that I'm dreaming about running. And I don't run to lose weight. I run to become good at it. The loss of weight just comes naturally. Also, I wouldn't mind messing with you on a rink. I just have to learn how to ice skate, which I think I can do now. When I played roller hockey, I was a defender. Really skinny, but I could lay a guy out. I could also get the puck from one end and take it down to the other end before everyone else could.

Yeah, the small guys always use their speed and mobility well, so it's hard to actually give them a good, solid hit. Just look Wayne Gretzky. He was about 5'11'', but he sure could move. I'm I wasn't actually challenging you, I was just saying that as a joke.

Excercise when I don't want it (But I'm not fat, I'm probably skinnier than you)
Other things, but I'm embracing my liking for lazyness  tongue.gif

I can guarantee you right now that you are not skinnier than me unless you are anorexic or a six year old.

I'm neither but am probably skinnier than you because I'm in a wheelchair and it takes more calories to do everything

I probably weigh less than 120 pounds and I run at least two miles everyday. I vote for me.

Dude, you sound like you have some eating problems. At 16? I'm 15, and I'm 190. But I"m not a thin kid, either. I'm more of the broad shouldered, larger body type. It may not make me the best runner, but it sure as hell gives me an edge in hockey when you've gotta defend the zone against little forwards, they're not looking up, and you level them with a good shoulder check. Oh, the joy. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I didn't think of it as a challenge. I just argue with everyone over the smallest detail.

I'll most def run the Chicago Marathon about twenty times before I die. Just kidding. I don't know about that, but I'm not running a full marathon while I'm in high school. But yeah, I'll run the Chicago Marathon. I've already done a duathlon, self propelling myself about 21.2 miles.

Dang! I and wanted to stay anonymous ninja.gif At least until I had time to create a sig. I wondered why the CBUB was so dead today. Seems like most of the members are over here. Interesting.

I hate how the CBUB administrators take 1 year and 5 months to add characters to the database.

I read the Fang-n-thunder, Rei fanboys war. I liked that, pretty funny.

by the way Rev.Dr.Pro.EsquireJr., ScanU2Death, and ScanMan = same person.

Sorry, I was just playing a little trick on you. Go to the bottom of the main page, and you'll see all the people currently on here. I saw you, and I clicked on "Last Click", which records where each member last clicked. I saw you were reading this topic, so I decided to freak you out a little. Sorry if it ruined your plans. Hi everyone! I'm granobulax. I like long walks on the beach... Just kidding.

Likes: My job (Yes, I like my job), friendly people, Dragon Ball/Z/GT (Don't hate me Hamboy), basketball (Sorry boston_celtics, I'm a Phoenix Suns fan), old school video games.

Dislikes: Mean people, multi-accounters, harsh criticisms, this damn Arizona summer heat (I've seen days over 130 degrees F).

There, a little about myself. biggrin.gif

Yeah, I'm a newer member there. I joined in Febuary. I started up as a complete rookie to comics and probably 90% of everything on CBUB. After giving it a shot and writting my first match, I was hooked. I guess I've gained a little bit of respect for my writting in my short time at CBUB and I got an invite to join Haven (Thanks phalanx!).

It's because he ususally leaves one account with multi accounters, he doesn't ban people completely.

Oh, well that's good. But only if the person who gets to keep the account stays good. Square Pickle/batosaims/Mordfitz was a real jerk most of the time. I hope he doesn't go back to being a jerk, the Square Pickle 2.0 was kinda cool.

Old school Nintendo is the best. I loved playing Mario Bros 1, 2, and 3 as well as so many other games. I grew up on original Nintendo. I just wish I could afford a Wii. My brother has one and it is so cool!

There, a little about myself.  biggrin.gif

Hey there Granobulax( now how d'ya pronounce that?)
Welcome to Haven Of Wiidom of as i like to call it the HoW.
As wingy said we haven't had new members in a while, so make urself at home! Most people here are friendly and dont get pissed easily

It's pronounced gran as in gran ola bar, ob as in ob vious, u as in you, and lax as in lax ative. Yeah, I already know a lot of the people on here from CBUB but it's great to meet new people too!

Thanks for the friendly welcome!

Oh, and you may inquire as to how I came up with that name? The name granobulax came from my father. He was a big Dungeons and Dragons fan when he was my age. Granobulax was the name of his dwarf character, hense the dwarf avatar of mine. I liked the name and decided to revive the name as my internet name.

Cool!

That's living family heritage folks!

Absolutly, I just couldn't pass up using my dads cool character name of Granobulax!

See, that's why I have that name. I love warfare, especially jets (F-14D Super Tomcat with 6 AIM-120 Phoenix missiles, anyone?), and it ties in with my love for the Detroit Red Wings. It's a win-win situation for me. Thanks for that, Darth Pool!

Do you think I'm cocky? I do have an ego that comes out once in a while, but I'm not aware of it, until it's too late.

Sweet. I'm thinking of doing Kendo, since I love to swing sticks around, and I will soon own a fully functional, sharp, battle ready katana.

Unless you're a Jedi. When I saw the Phantom Menace in 99, that movie made such a huge impression on me, because of the awesome (at least at that time, although they're still awesome) effects and martial arts stunts of Ray Park A.K.A. Darth Maul, as well as the fighting of Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. When I got the DVD, I watched all the special features about the stunts and fight coordination and watched Nick Gallard, the stunt cooordinator, show how they developed the fight technique for the Jedi. Good stuff.

Seriously. In terms of equally skilled combatants, these are the rules: never bring your fists to a knife fight, and never bring a knife to a gunfight. That's the way it is. How can Bruce Lee beat Jet Li wielding a sword? And just like in Raiders of the Lost Ark, how can a sword wielder beat a guy who has a .357? The Japanese and the Boxers thought that way against the European imperialists, and look where that got them. A few isolated incidents, but they couldn't stop the tide of Western change.

If you mean the avatar's disappearing, I don't know.

It just disappears, and I have to replace it. It doesn't always go right, so it ends up different sizes.

I was going to report it as a bug, but decided otherwise.

Very true.

I'm proud to be american. cool.gif

Me too. Glad to hear there's a fellow patriotic American, and in Jersey, of all places!

BTW, I was born in Jersey, in Patterson. I moved away when I was three, but I'm still from there, baby!

WOO!

We Jerseyians got a lot going for us. wink.gif

You said it. I'm not totally fond of the gay former governor, but other than that, go Giants and go Devils!

Plus, we're just so handsome and good looking. cool.gif cool.gif

one problem the human body is the only weapon that can think, not adapt, or artificial intelligence but actually change tactics. Trust me it's the ultimate weapon, given the proper training, someone could beat somebody who has a gun, even from long range.

Really? So you are facing me, with a Barrett .50 cal. sniper rifle, and I have a red laser dot on your chest at fifty yards. Assuming I'm trained to use the weapon correctly (which I'm not), how to you expect to dodge a 150 grain tungsten cored armor piecing bullet traveling at 3200 feet per second? The only way you'll get close to me is by falling the five feet toward me after I blow you head off.

I just read the gay marriage portion and I think I'm going to throw up.

I now majorly dislike you, Wingman. And what respect I had for you has been pissed upon. angry.gif

I just read the gay marriage portion and I think I'm going to throw up.

I now majorly dislike you, Wingman. And what respect I had for you has been pissed upon. angry.gif

Well, you can't all like me.

Back when I lived in North Chicago, I used to have season passes to Six
Flags Great America and would go there every day! It was great! Although I swear that the ride, Shockwave, gave me whiplash! I also loved going to the observation deck at the Sears tower. I hope you've been there cause its a rush looking down from the 103rd story! I was also a huge Bulls fan when I lived there but it was kinda hard not to be back then when you have Michael Jordan playing for your team!

Anyways, I'm glad to see we have many of the same interests.

I am not arguing with you on this. You have your belief, and I'll have mine. I'm not a gay hater, but I believe that such actions are wrong, because God considers such acts to be terrible sins.

Take it too the extreme. Assuming that all gay and lesbian actions are natural and ok, and if ALL of us slept with people of the same sex, won't our species die out?

God made man and women, ALONE, to propagate for a reason. It's the only way possible. If two men can't have a child, and two women can't have a child, then that seems to go against nature. Why them is it accepted?

Not all of us are gay, you little s**t.

And not all of us follow your little religion, either.

You said that most gays are without a father figure. BULLSHIT.

It isn't a choice. It isn't a lack of guidance. You're born with it.

You're naturally attracted to that sex.

This is no different from discrimination torwards Black people we had all those years ago. You suck.

Posted by: The Ripper Jun 21 2008, 07:35 PM
That's a little harsh, Basset, with the curse words and the "you suck" insult.

No, I'm not on Wingman's side, but personally, I'm not a fan of gays. Also, I'm not a homophobe anymore.

That's the only way I see to describe it. The way you grow up, whether you care to admit it or not, influences the way you'll live your life.

Studies have proven that those without male authority figures are more likely to grow up to be more feminine in nature, and more likely to be gay.

Guys there are pros and cons to abortion, so yes Wingman is right on his side and Besset is right on his side, the Gay marriage thing, now heres my opinion:

First of all we are not talking about being gay in the first place, The government and most people have accepted people for being what they are so I shouldn't judge them on that. Now if a straight couple wanted to get married you'd say sure why not? But if a gay couple wants to be married you say no? Why the hell not? They are a legitimate couple, they love each other, and you speak of god, Ho ho don't let me get started on that bugger.

I'd give it a thumbs up.
